thats really great Vivek..
An overview of the AWS Lambda function(at a hight level) in terms of what it is, what are the use cases, where it's currently used, and by whom would be highly appreciated. As a non-developer, it's hard to grasp/contemplate the concept of Lambda. (Just a thought, I could be wrong). nonetheless, this video is great, and loved your channel as well. Thank you,
Very Good video and good explanation as well. Thanks a ton
Glad it was helpful!

Awesome Session!!.. Please let me know Deep Drive on LAMDA so that I can answer any questions in Architect Exam.
Awesome
Very good tutorial. The lambda max time is increased from 5 minutes to 15minutes. Programming language is Node. js, Python, Java, Ruby, C#, Go, and PowerShell.
How abt Rust?
great job . Please make more such videos on lambda functions.

Hi, thanks for the video. Have one doubt, we have requirement like to trigger the DMS task using lambda function. For that do we need to specify the VPC and security groups in lambda function or not required? Please let me know.
Helpful sir ...thanks 🙂
thanks Sagar. Please support us by sharing the videos. Also, please write above on LinkedIn and tag us..
very very helpful
Glad it helped. Please share it in your circle as well.
Hi, can you please elaborate on word serverless, does it refer to the target machines where code is going to execute or where we are defining the function/code ?
Thank u knowledge India for clearing the doubts 💐💐, u r simply awesome

Hi Knowledge India , i am unable to see the test and save option which is present at the top in my aws lamda window, is there any other way i can run the lambda ?
can you send me code for signed url to upload image from frontEnd form to s3 bucket using API gateway
There is a CSV file in the local computer and it is uploaded to AWS S3.
If any changes are made in that CSV file on the local computer, the changes should reflect in AWS S3 automatically using AWS Lambda function.
What are the steps to achieve this?
very nice explanation..thankyou very much..i lookng to get started with a job in aws..can u guide me in doing some demos of live environment..i mean what is actual role..i m getting ready for solution architect ..
if you could show the automated backups that would be great but anyway thanks for sharing
very good information.Thanks for teaching in a clear and detailed way.I tried executing as per the steps mentioned in the video and at final step when I tried to test the function
{
"errorMessage": "Syntax error in module 'lambda_function': Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print(\"Checking region %s \" % region['RegionName'])? (lambda_function.py, line 13)",
"errorType": "Runtime.UserCodeSyntaxError",
"stackTrace": [
" File \"/var/task/lambda_function.py\" Line 13
print \"Checking region %s \" % region['RegionName']
"
]
}
tried adding parenthesis also for print but still getting the same error .could you help me with the above error
Thank you for the awesome videos. I was just wondering...is it not possible to also automate the process of creating EBS volume snapshots using cloudformation? Please let me know. Thanks
CloudFormation is used for creating resources .. Snapshot is more like a backup from an existing resource. I don't think it would be possible to do that.. See this - docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSCloudFormation/latest/UserGuide/AWS_EC2.html
Please check out CloudFormation & other AWS videos on our channel.
Hi, Sir, I have a doubt without using the lambda function we can directly go and create the EBS snapshot then why we were using lambda function and having pricing of using the lambda.
We are trying to automate the Snapshot creation here. Think of scenario that you have got 30 instances in 2 or 3 regions. Then, you can just schedule one Lambda function which creates snapshots for all the volumes attached to instances. We need not go and do it manually..

I created lamda function to stop ec2 ....I am getting status code :200....but ec2 is not going to stop??? what is the reason??? please
Hi Sir, thanks for the very brief demo of AWS lambda, video is very nice. But i want to what is automation in the lambda . In the video you manually running the function you have mentioned automation like automatic trigger from outside. like weburl or something like. If you can make brief demo on that it would be very helpful . Also I want to know is lambda available in free tier.
you can use CloudWatch events and schedule execution of your lambda function. Yes, its available in Free-tier.
Hi Sir
Thanks for the video on Lamda and I have doubt on lamda handler ..what it is exactly sir?
lambda_handler is just a function. and if you see we have specified at 17:25 it top text box that this is the default (FIRST) function from where the execution starts.
Please share the videos with your friends. Thanks again.
Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel to get all the video updates.
Hi Sir..can I trigger lambda function directly by hitting the ARN??
not by hitting ARN.. though, it could be placed behind an API gateway and then you can trigger it.
Please share the videos if they have helped you.. Thanks.
Nice demo. How do I schedule this function to run every morning?
Use cloudwatch events
@@knowledgeindia Not sure how to. Any document I can reference?
yes .. go through AWS documentation. that's the default place to go. :)
It's good..but can you make another video with sample example lamda
nice video sir...very informative. And if i wanted to take the snapshots of the objects uploaded to the s3 bucket, can i follow the same lambda?
You don't need to take snapshot of objects in S3
Watch our S3 videos to learn more
@@knowledgeindia OK sir...Thanks for the feedback...i just miscued my question..the actual qstn is to create a scheduler for taking a snapshot of the instance volume when ever an object is uploaded to the S3 bucket.
From where we do specify the timing when it's going to execute while scheduling it?
You need to do that via cloudwatch event
@@knowledgeindia Cool...thanks a ton and yes it was well explained looking forward to learn more! :)
Is Rust suppprted now?
do you post these videos in .75 speed ?
please use option in youtube player to adjust to your required speed.
Tell exactly what is lambda???
watching this video on 2021 September
Plz put the code as well
