People could have food every day if prisoners in all areas start veggie gardens. Instead of feeding the prisoners get milk cows and let prisoners milk those cows. One can do a lot with a veggie soup every night...a bread or even pasta.

There is no other way. With this economy growing your own food is the best thing for as long as God gives us the sun and rain. I am in the rural Eastern Cape, we just harvested and we at home and most of my neighbours are not buying maize meal because we are making our own. Tastes good and way cheaper than buying maize meal. In my family we are not going to buy maize meal, stamp and beans for the next four to six months. Maize is very important for us and the livestock. My mother has +45 chickens and we do not buy eggs.( can't even remember how much they are) This winter the orange and lemon trees blessed us with fruits and protected us from getting sick (vitamin c from catching a cold) We hardly but buy cabbages and other veggies usually just to add or give the garden a chance to recover from what we have "milked" from it. If you are in rural areas you are blessed than someone in the township or city cause you have land except when there is draught or other natural disasters. But some people have become lazy now even though their only income is grant, they don't want hard work and they always complain instead of pushing. Unfortunately you cannot help such people. That is why even God says don't give lazy people food. Having said that black people in farming communities lead very different lives from rural life, they usually have been under very traumatic experiences.
We can grow our own food, the problem is Government not helping us with Water and give us the matching to do our job, Government please help, to all Rural areas and village most people won't even go to Town
This is such a deep hatret in people's hearts. They suffer because of such hatret such that they take it off on innocent people. Unfortunately they will suffer more in Prison...

We need not even have prisoners in this age....
Encourage people to grow their own food. Provide people with seeds and tractors. Introduce agricultural courses to communities.

Rural people should be able to grow and feed their families. How did they lose this basic skill?
