Hi Olivio, I can simply say that you are super genius. Thanks for each and every effort that you make to make our life easier. Well done and a VERY BIG THANK YOU.
I thought I'd know whatever you mentioned. But you read my mind...I knew the ones you said I would, and not the ones you were really demonstrating. Right on the money. Thanks.
Yes, nailed it! :) Happy i could help, Joshua :)
Very helpfu, thank youl! Two that I use often are D to get back to default colours (black and white) and i for the colour picker

... Great Tricks, thank you Olivio... 👍
You are welcome, Aribert :)
I'm on Windows so :
Alt + click and drag ( left or right ) to decrease and increase brush size, up / down for hardness. ( it's work with graphic tablet , this shortcut doesn't work with a mouse)
Ctrl + space for zooming and dezooming dynamically.
I've made my own shortcuts :
, to rotate my canvas to the left
; to rotate to the right
: reset the rotation
< for flip horizontally my canvas
Thanks Olivio, another useful video. Have a nice day.
You are welcome, Riccardo :)
Thanks Olivio , brilliant work 😃

Thank you, Wei :)
Very useful. Thank you, Olivio.
You are welcome, Behram :)
Perhaps it's a quick tip - I am struggling to find the magic button to alight two layers in Affinity Photo. I have edited in Capture One (which does not do panoramas), and chosen Edit In. AF opened with the images in separate tabs. Dragging and dropping on on the other didn't work, so I chose ^C then ^V,
Now, to align....
Amazing... love more and more Affinity
You are welcome, Waldir :)
How do you make the brush bigger and smaller with the mouse or keyboard?
Command + option click and drag left and right to decrease/increase brush size, up and down for brush hardness!
Cool, thank you Peter :)
Thx Olivio. Very informative video. I hope that this shortcuts work in designer to.
Thank you, Romen. Most actually should work there too :)
Very helpful. Thank you!
You are welcome, Dusk :)
Any shortcuts to change the opacity percent when using the brush tool?
Not that i know off. But you can search for "affnitiy shortcuts" on google to get a full list of all of them
Thank you!
You are welcome, Mihai :)
very helpful video :) Grazie mille
Thank you, Teoh
Awesome, Olvio! One shortcut I wish existed - if it does, I'd be so happy! - is a 'return to level canvas" On my Mac trackpad I sometimes 2 finger rotate the canvas to get a better hold on a matte edge if I'm doing cleanup. But then I'm left with trying to get the canvas straight again., Which seems to never be 'straight' as I'd like it to be. A shortcut to do that would be great.
did you try "View -> Reset Rotation" in the Menu?
@@OlivioSarikas No, but next time I will! Thanks for the tip!
Very fine, Ollie... I think they all work in Affinity Designer as well. (And yes, red/red is ...hmmmpf:)
Awesome, thanks for telling me Literaturix :)
Thank you :-)
Thanks! One suggestion: would be great to have the videos in 30p instead of 60p for mobile consumption and data rate economy. Don’t really need 2x for screengrabs
Hi Ronny, thank you for the feedback. I would rather suggest that you watch my videos when you are on Wifi, rather than me reducing my quality for everyone. Hope that helps. You could also reduce it to 720p to save data, since you are probably on a smaller mobile screen anyways
Hi Olivio is there a shortcut to flatten the layers
Try CTRL+E :)
Awesome!!
Thank you, Lee :)
Is there a way to have more control of the patch tool? When you're selecting a section it’s like a “roundish” free hand kind of choice, is it possible to turn it into a square or rectangle selection?
Hi Enri, not sure about that. but you can simple select the part again in any shape you want. I'm not sure having a different shape for the patch and sample area could work. Sounds like that would disturb the image area, like squeezing it into that different shape
Hi Olivio. I downloaded your lut pack onto my iPad, and I can’t figure out how to install them. Do you have any tips? Thanks in advance 🙂
hi Stacie, on the iPad you need to load it into your Dropbox, iCloud or Google Drive and load it into Affinity Photo from there. For some reason it needs to go via the Cloud
Olivio, let mas ask you, in Photoshop there is a shortcut called Rotate (R), if you let it pressed and use wacom you can rotate the canvas, 1 by 1 degree, and at Affinity Just 15 / 15 degree, do you know a way to rotate like PS ?
Hi Waldir, sadly Affinity Photo doesn't have a function like that. If you do a lot of digital painting, i suggest you check out Krita - it's free and has that function
@@OlivioSarikas thank you for your consideration
Q: How can you 'bend' text in Affinity photo? Im trying to get text in a half circle, like the Warp Text options in photoshop.
Create a smart shape from the shapes tool. Then select the artistic text tool. When you hover near the smart shape you will see a curl or tilde by your pointer. You can then click in and enter text along the path, with several editing options for sliding the text along that path by using red and blue flags that appear.
Hi Oliver + Joshua, that does work in Affinity Designer, but as far as i know not in Affinity Photo. However, you can create in in Designer and Copy it over to Photo :)
Very helpful these short cuts thanks! one i am after is from Photoshop you could reset the palate with the D key can this be
done in Affinity Photo Please! i have tried but with out success
what do you mean by "palate"?
@@OlivioSarikas I mean the default black and White palates on the bottom left on tool bar in Photoshop if you pressed "D" it would change palate colours to black and white if they were a different colours can this be done in Affinity Photo please!
@@razeroxo8068 I see. Couldn't you have just googled that, like i just did? ;) You have to set it up in: Affinity Photo Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts section -> Photo -> Miscellaneous and looking for the entry to set it to the keys you want
@@OlivioSarikas Yes I did do and it did not work for me!
One sort-of related question...... Is there a way to "Close all" as I frequently end up with lots of images open and I have to go through and close each one (ctl-W) and then reply "No" for each save.
Hi John, not that i know of. But that would also be very risky, because the software needs to make sure you don't close anything that hasn't been saved yet. However, you can press "n" for no, instead of needing to click the "no" option. That should speed things up
OK, red shirt and red beard is not a great choice for my videos 😂😂😂😂😂
No it looks great. But please do next video in green shirt 😃
... Thats true... 😂🤣... for christmas it will be very suitable.. 😂
Lol, if i wear green, only my head is visible ;)
Please make a video on how to use the channel in affinity photo.
Hi Mia, do you mean the color channels?
yes color channel
Thank you for your awesome videos. I am new to Affinity Photo and I am crazy about it. I would like more videos on Food editing. I need help. 😊🤗
Thanks.
Thank you, Marsha, happy i could help :)
In English, the past of "heard" is pronounced as if it were spelled "herd".
I heard you hurt your herd that hurt my heart. ;) - Thank you for the advice :)
