It’s mainly targeting small mom and pop shops and small business who don’t have money to spend big on social media advertising and news media . The business model is they have a website and on their website any small business can pay $100 and advertise their campaign on there and they take a 30% cut on any ad campaign run by small business . The flaw in their reasoning is they have no traffic on their website . They are in their 40s or 50s for sure and still think this is how marketing works in the young dynamic sophisticated world of internet marketing
@@jennifercriswell198stupid lol misogyny?? Really. You wouldn't bat an eye if one of the guys' pictures was up there. He probably thought it would be more funny/fun for Arlene to be the target, especially for her fellow dragons
They just got invaluable feedback from five success entrepreneurs who they were courting for money - and they dismissed the feedback. What does that tell about this pair?
Canadian Dragons are so much more brutal and blunt than UK Dragons.. lol. I mean, Brits have sharp wit and can definitely shut someone down, but when you've pissed off Jim, he doesn't hold back. And to be fair, those people walked in with something that felt like it was JUST conceived a week ago at a house party. lol
I’m trying to understand what this company does. So do they essentially have a platform that allows multiple companies to host contests with prizes? And the point of that prize is to ultimately just get people to shop with them? Then After the competition is done, this weird company gets a portion of the prize. Is that what I’m hearing basically? If that’s the case I have no idea how that could possibly promote brand loyalty. Weird pitch
Biggest issue, they haven’t even established they are good at what their business is trying to do, 200 views is something I got on my dumb video game reviews that my friends and I did in high school. They only make money if they can get views on their content that makes the businesses get the impressions they couldn’t get otherwise. They make money off the prizes of the contests, but the people on the contests aren’t gonna want to share money with them.
So a contest creates brand loyalty? Or is the supposed loyalty to have been on exclusively using thier site to host contests. What a rediculous and delicious episode.
Kevin's comments at the end were really weird. It's really rare for a pitcher to come out and say what percentage profit the investor would receive on their money. That's across all the different formats of the show too. The pitchers don't say it, and the dragons/sharks never ask.
But there’s a way to convey that without using those words.. that was his point.. They talked about a bunch of different stuff but never touched on how someone can get a return..
@@asoldierstwocentsrawuncut9611 What you're talking about is completely different. Talking about how much profit the business can make in future years is a much different variable than telling someone exactly how much their investment will increase. Nobody can be taken seriously if they come out and say I will triple, quadruple your money, or whatever it is. None of the dragons would be naive enough to accept that
Are you in with Binance? O'Leary pointed the finger at them. Kevin has taken responsibility for poor due diligence. No evidence has been presented that he is responsible for fraud or aware of mixing Alameda funds with FTX customer funds. Kevin is in the same category as FTX's venture capitalists and Tom Brady.

Their own family & friends invested $25,000 for 1.5% for a “viral campaign” that sells nothing? That’s insane.
But it also shows that they are good salespeople

I've watched this twice and I still don't understand their business. Am I the only one?

I didn't understand either, I blame it on my English skills....lol
Yeah, I didn’t get it either. I was worried I was the dumb one!! 😂
Nope
Not a CLUE what they are selling, then again I bought a Kirby cleaner when I was drunk.
When pitching to a Dragon, make sure the Dragon isn't getting her head blown off by a gun, in your presentation....
lol
This was seriously uncomfortable to watch. I find it misogynistic and a bit disturbing on top of just incredibly stupid.

He had the grimy salesman look nailed. Loved the hand movements and big words when he’s pitching total garbage.
I don’t understand this what even is their business holy bollox
Kevin is absolute gold in this show.
hes the heart of the show imo
This business doesn't make sense... I'm glad they didn't get an investment.
I’m still trying to figure out what the business is actually about

yes, how would those brands not just set up their own website or host it on their existing one...
