It's a ton of fun, and sooo much not min-maxxed lmao. I grow a lot of different crops, make jams and pickles and juices and dehydrated shrooms and fruit.. also, forest farm my beloved. half my farm is a forest with plenty of mushrom logs scattered about
That’s such a cool way to play. I always fall into the trap of efficiency and production, but you’re making grandpa proud! And birch trees are newly added to the Stardew Valley Expanded mod. Oh, that’s super interesting, I wonder how many preserving bins I would need for my current mushroom farm set up. I have a bad feeling it’s a huge number…but maybe I’ll do the purples that way
@@SwellWaters Oh, yes, it IS a ton: pickles take 2-3 days (4000 in-game minutes, with 1600 minutes per in-game day due to hours at night having 100 minutes) according to the wiki, and mushroom logs produce every less than 4 days (As they take 4 days if no rain occurs, and each rainy day accelerates this by one day.) So, if you have a rainy week, your logs could be producing faster than your jars. In a tree farm it is most likely that the majority of your logs are producing 5 items per harvest. Thats several jars per log vs not even 1 dehydrator (Dehydrators always give product when the day rolls over) Like, lets make it way simpler than it is because i do be bad at math. if your jars are taking 2.5 days each, each jar can then process 1.60 mushrooms per 4 day harvest period. Each log is giving 5 mushrooms. This is slightly over 3 jars to keep up, assuming no rainy days, ever, and that you have jar emptying superpowers to get to them as soon as they are done, even when they finish while the character sleeps (lol). To be comfortable, you probably want the full 5 jars to account for rainy days and the fact you do other things in game. So it takes a lot of space. A LOT. Its probably worth it to still have , idk, a shed full of jars for purple shrooms/chants and then a few dehydrators to pick up the remainder. Dehydrating is better than no processing for lower qualities without artisan, and even for iridium if you have artisan.
This all tracks! Most of the time I'm weighing the time it takes me to manage revenue sources as well, so swapping 300 preserving bins on top of wine seems like a bit much! but early game before you can bulk process it seems worth it for chantarelles and purple mushrooms.

Hello! Can you share, please, what mods do you use for portraits and npc's?
Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic
&
They Deserve It Too - Portraits for Vendors
@@SwellWaters thank you!! ❤

can you make a vid about the mods you use?
Sure, I’m currently working on the next episode of my Skill Chain, but I’ll work on a mods showcase next!
7:51 As long as you WHATT!?!?!
Hit um from the back lol
How do u add mods on androidtho
According the the Wiki I linked, you need to install the SMAPI APK. Then you unzip the Mods into the StardewValley/Mods folder. So similar to Desktop.
0:14 but the music never plays
That’s a great point that most songs only last 2-3 minutes, but an average day is 15-20. Maybe there is a mod to loop the music…
@@SwellWaters But the seasonal music repeats twice and when it ends most places have their own themes anyways.
Very true, I didn’t notice the music stopping until I started looking back at footage too since you get kind of sucked into the day anyway
DON'T pronounce the "s" in debris. ;-)
Interesting, I thought that if you had many piles of debris you’d need the “s”. TIL! Do vet your your words next time lol
No offense, This feels like a gamerant guide. I'm surprised you didn't say, "DO use the pickaxe for mines." "DO use the WASD keys to move." You're just spelling out how the game works.
You must play have played a bit of Stardew, because I think most of these are good tips for newish players without spoiling too much. If you’re a veteran these will seem simple, but I was terrified of passing out when I first played because I didn’t know the consequences.
I avoided the mines because of my fear of battle. Basic reminders are helpful and boost confidence.
I have played a lot of Stardew and definitely felt like this video wasn't for me, BUT I still think it could be useful for someone else. So I gave it the engagement and stuff cause I wanna see Swell do well... And get back to chaining already, lol.
So what?? People USE gamerant, it’s useful 😂😂😂
Ty! Editing the next one now
