Can you point out which episode they started dating? And the minute? And when do they confess their love? When do they kiss? When were they holding hands? with the minutes and episodes, please
I think he's already well known for being a detective and that's why his friend Dogo asked him for help, and also made that remark that he never knew him to fail a cerebral task.
I think him trying to be ordinary is he got tired of doing favors for people but doesn't know how to say No and him going out with Osanai is his way of getting out of it be using the "I have things to do with my girlfriend" excuse.
But we see even then he's bad at saying No.
The Author likes to have themes of people that are gifted accepting after first denying they are not normal and them trying to not being taken advantage of in Both this work and Hyouka.
I think the bridge and river scene was the girl unleashing her domain expansion "Confusing Subtext"

kidding aside, I kinda like it when they're already friends when introduced. both of them are an interesting bunch.
what I can interpret in the scenes where they kept changing locations is that it is their shared mental space, which I guess that's what makes them special, I assume. oh well. overall, fun first episode!

I do think the deduction in terms off where they found the purse was kinda half assed even if who did it seemed like it worked.
I was completely sold out when it was first announced and when it was teased that Hina Youmiya (Yamada's VA) will gonna voice the main girl
It's not my kind of anime but I really liked the first episode. Hearing yamada's seiyu (Hina youmiya) makes it even more enjoyable.
I have no clue what the plot is for this anime.
Starting from the scenes at 18:45 I have a strange feeling that those 2 are not human and are trying to fit into human society by being "ordinary".
The bars have to do with the video having a wide aspect ratio. You know like when you watch movies on your TV.
Lol literally got the same vibe especially from the op at first 😂, but the scene you mentioned i just brushed it off as hyouka done something similar aswell

Mmmmmh it most definitely was not, it had romance undertones and teased it but there never actually ended up being any romance with Oreki or chitanda by the end of the series
