Just after the 9:30 bell, I look for an uptrend. If it's a good one, I will put in a trailing stop. If I get stopped out and I have gained 1% of my account, I call it a day. When I get in trouble is when I try to push the gain too far or hang with a bad trend. I usually only have to trade thirty minutes to an hour each day. No indicators. Just the trend and news.

Stick with the trend. resistance levels are important. Two MAs running. Market is below both.... retraces to one....STICK WITH THE TREND. until when.... until it hits support. What is it going to do there.... it is probably going to go up to the 2nd MA or even resistance. anyways. this simple concept of trading with the trend is pure gold. the win rate is nuts. And yet... people will ignore this. Or worse... rush it. Even when you know what to do.... people are doing what? Rushing it. chasing the rabbit. Shooting themselves in the foot. CLOSED CANDLES. Everything is done on closed candles. An open candle in live trading is like a scared squirrel trying to cross the road. There are cases where a good trader knows where the squirrel is going... but most of the time, even the squirrel doesn't know.

resistance levels are important.
Two MAs running. Market is below both.... retraces to one....STICK WITH THE TREND. until when.... until it hits support. What is it going to do there.... it is probably going to go up to the 2nd MA or even resistance. anyways. this simple concept of trading with the trend is pure gold. the win rate is nuts.
And yet... people will ignore this. Or worse... rush it. Even when you know what to do.... people are doing what? Rushing it. chasing the rabbit. Shooting themselves in the foot.
CLOSED CANDLES. Everything is done on closed candles.
An open candle in live trading is like a scared squirrel trying to cross the road. There are cases where a good trader knows where the squirrel is going... but most of the time, even the squirrel doesn't know.
