    Exactly my same repair. It went without much of a hitch. Thank you for the diagnosis tips. Down to the motor burnout dust on the floor.

    Hey. That’s the same garbage GE dishwasher I have. Nothing but trouble out of the first one I had. So they replaced it with a newer model. 14 months in, start the same cycle over. Thanks for the video and the service mode steps. I’ll be needing it again.

    I have a GE Adora. When it doesn't clean, remove the motor, and clean the impeller. It's easy to do, and it will save you from buying a new pump.

    Hi there! Thanks for this video! It helped me locate the diagnostic mode. My book does not include the instructions to pull this up. Where were you able to find this? Mine also has 8 modes. I’m trying to determine why mine shuts off in the middle of a cycle, but seemingly all of the test modes are functioning normal. TIA!

    Mine is a 2020. Last year the rubber elbow split and it leaked water on the floor. I had to buy the whole pump. Worked like new until last week. Now is not cleaning top and bottom. It used an oem GE replacement pump. Could it be bad already? BTW both spray arms are clear of blockage.

      UPDATE: I just fixed it at no cost. I removed the lower bar, removed 3 screws and pulled out the center piece. The white spindle inside has 2 magnets on the end. It had a black goo all over it. Degreaser wouldn't even touch it. I had to use a toothpick to scrape the magnets clean then more degreaser and an old toothbrush. Put it all back together and it works like it should!

    Thank you for your time and information. I called ge and got no help from them so maybe you can help. When i start a cycle from the beginning the pump comes on to drain the sump and doesn't stop pumping. It doesn't go into the fill mood when I go through the steps that you show it also doesn't fill could there be a issue with the board or is there a float not working to show that the tub is empty? 2:19

      @@FastestSoccer take the bottom cover off. Look under the dishwasher and you will see the pump. On my pump there's a float sensor on the left so I popped it off and found food buildup on the open end so I cleaned out the buildup and popped it back in and reconnected the wire harness then I started up the dishwasher and no problem sense then

    Awesome video. I have a GE GDT530PSP4SS, so I noticed that there was no water coming out to wash. Therefore I replace the "water inlet valve" thinking that was the issue. However I watched a video and cleaned out the "pressure switch" as instructed. I still get no water on washing cycle. Would you know or have any suggestion as what else can I check on it? I would really appreciate you assistance. Thank you in advance.

    • @hobbyhandyman
      @hobbyhandyman  11 месяцев назад

      That’s an interesting issue. I would look for a clog in the inlet line and confirm that then inlet valve is turned on at the house side.

    • @MajHazrd
      @MajHazrd 15 дней назад

      This is the same issue I have. Plenty of water and pressure for the initial rinse cycle, pumps it out, it will open the soap door, but there is no water in the basin.
      Did anyone ever figure this one out?

      If it’s the same dishwasher as mine, the part number is GEWD19X25700. Otherwise google the model number of the dishwasher you have and look for a parts diagram. That will show you the part number for the circulation pump.

      Hello! Thanks for posting this video. When I run a cycle it starts and sounds like it’s going good, then just stop with the washing. The heating and drying cycle works perfectly. But when I open the door, the soap dispenser is either unopened or it’s opened slightly and the soap is just sorta melted, not used. It’s like it’s not getting enough water? Any ideas? When I run the diagnostic thing I don’t hear anything happening on #3. Thank you!

    I had to replace the wash circulation pump, and when installing it the diverter started leaking. When I pulled it off the diverter rubber boot was disintegrating, if you rub your finger on it the rubber comes off onto your finger. Pure Junk. The dishwasher just over 4 yrs old. GE is making pure junk.

  • @1Half1

    My identical GE dishwasher flooded my entire floor! The culprit was the rubber 90 degree pipe. It turns out that it's a well known, well documented defect. GE has/will do nothing about it! Even though other models have a similar rubber hose for $8 this model doesn't. You have to buy the entire pump $100-$160. SMH 🤬
