- The final bosses of Sonic are generally agreed to be the best part of most Sonic games, but with more than a few titles, that’s not the case at all. In fact, in some cases, it’s the worst part of the game. In today’s video, I’ll be counting down from the final boss I believe is the worst to my personal favorite final boss. This is a long one; so be prepared. Also, sorry if the video quality is lower than normal. KineMaster was being a bitch, and I uploaded this at 3:00 AM. This is the best I could get.

With Ix, I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO FIGHT HIM. The game literally said: "Know what, fuck you. *corrupts your save data*" RIGHT AS I WAS ABOUT TO FIGHT HIM.

@@tonysonic456 To be honest, I was liking the game. Sure, it was kinda difficult at times, but I think of it as a 3 phase boss fight. One fight with Knuckle's team, then Sonic's team, and finally with Super Sonic.
I was lucky to not have to experience the embarrassment of the ending because of legal BS. But Unlucky enough to have to go through the entire game to have a chance to fight him.
Ix wasn't a good enough boss to fight, he just prevented you from fighting him. lmao
54:04 when the singer says "What I’m Made of" it kind of times perfectly with Tails, Knuckles, and Sonic showing up on the team blast screen.

I had this video just playing in the background and I thought to myself, “it would be funny if my favorite and technically the only Sonic game that I’ve ever played ended up in the top 10” … not only did Sonic Colors (Wii) ended up in the top 10…. a game that has worse graphics than the Xbox is still better? interesting. i didn't experience the Wii unforgettably but i see some people playing the final boss and it has more activity than the ''press the button'' mechanic. heck i even enjoy more the Eggman fight

Great list! The beauty of subjectivity is seeing why people have different opinions on the same matter. Solaris is my personal favourite, and the music is a big part, in both phases.
I like both the crush-40 song. And the instrumental remix.
This was a fun list. The final bosses of Sonic are certainly interesting, and it was nice to see them discuss after the last countdown. Also, I'm not a Sonic fan but I can still tell that the music is great! And I'm so sorry about the next video, but if it's any relief I'm going to suffer with you! Or before you.

Bonus Sins: So before I absolutely wreck Charriii, I noticed what you said at the end of this video was similar to what Charriii said before adding the sins. Was that intentional? Anyway, a lot of loading screens is a sin, but not one for every single screen. This falls under the "Charriii sins something a x time" cliche, and since you already sinned loading screens three times, you get one sin for the first loading screen, and five for the rest. Congratulations Charriii, you get 2321 sins!
Good thing I had nothing to do today, otherwise that would have been a lot worse.

The worst part about Imperator Ix in my opinion, is that the music that plays in the fight is probably the only good song in Chronicles, but sadly, just like the fight itself, it ends in under 40 seconds.
To be fair I dig Ix's design a little and also He, Shade along with the Nocturnis Clan has some potential in terms of story and lore

I know I'm going to enjoy this one for sure. Especially the rage with Metal Robotnik especially since you consider Metal Robotnik to be the worst boss in Sonic history.
This is a truly soild ranking of the bosses, and i after all of that i can say to you, good luck for Sonic 06 while handling Charriii's stupidity at sinning at the same time.

personally, I think the Final Hazard is my favorite because of how cinematic it feels, it was the first Super Sonic Battle I ever unlocked, and of course, Live and Learn. the lasers can be a deal breaker, but I never had that much of an issue with them personally. and yeah, Solaris is pretty great too

This insult of a final boss in Sonic Chronicles in my opinion makes the entirety of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric look like a 10/10 masterpiece in comparison, at least the villain in Rise of Lyric felt like an actual threat while Imperator Ix is nothing but a total joke of a villain, Lyric & Mephiles combined are better villains than Ix

Tbh Giganto if was a final boss for Sonic Frontiers (or Wyvern and Knight) would earn the best final boss of a sonic game for me simply due to based QTE, attacks and incredible music.

Hello everyone, today I'm writing this comment in celebration of TonySonics 1 year anniversary, I was 1st exposed to this channel back in January of this year through a 38 minute video called "Everything wrong with Chariii5s EWW Fnaf 1-5", I thought "whats this guys take on one of my favorite content creators?", so I clicked on it, it was cool to hear his voice for the first time, this was also the video that started the tradition of giving him 5 sins every time he sinned the same thing 5 times, which is fair enough, when it was done, I wanted to check out more of Tony's content, and lucky for me, he was exclusively making Sonic videos, and sonic was what I was interested in, I also checked out some his non sonic videos.
What I'm saying here is that I enjoy your content Tonysonic, and I look forward to seeing more of your Chariii critiques.

One of the reasons I don't mind or care that the 3rd phase of the Death Egg Robot from Forces is an Egg Nega Wisp copy, is because I actually played Forces BEFORE Colors.

I actually like the console version of the Time Eater. The absence of the constant shouting of Sonic’s friends in the 3DS version kinda made the final boss feel empty. Meanwhile in the console version, it feels as if all the friends Sonic made across the past 20 years are doing their part in helping Sonic save Time and Space as we know it, really gives off a sense of finality to 20 Years of Sonic.
As one of the five people in existence that actually liked Sonic Forces, I'm glad you ranked the final boss so highly. That was a truly awesome final boss fight.
Also, thinking through it, I don't get why people dismiss the final phase as just a nega wisp armor clone. They have similarities in shape and how you damage them, but as someone who fought both of them, the only attack they share is the laser. The nega wisp armor can't shoot lines of fire, and the forces finale can't summon cubes. The nega wisp armor can't shoot missiles and the forces finale can't summon spike balls.

No joke it took my father 40 minutes to defeat the Death Egg Robot from Forces.
FORTY MINUTES? HOW? Even if he isn't that great at video games, the only level that should take that long to beat is Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed on the Xbox 360
Tip: you don't HAVE to fight the Egg Gravity again to enter the Altar Emerald Final fight. If you continue to the left when you reach the Chaos Angel boss gate, you will find the Final Zone ring, which will take you straight there. However, to fight Ultimate Gemerl (Nonaggression EX zone boss alongside Eggman) you will need to have collected all 7 Chaos Emeralds and picked Sonic as your main character before fighting the Hyper EggRobo.
I wasn’t talking about the Egg Gravity. I was referring to the Hyper Egg Robo.
@@tonysonic456 Got that a few seconds later. It's an identical sitch with Mania's EX zone boss. To fight the Phantom King + Klepto Mobile, you need to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds as Sonic (or Sonic and Tails), select Titanic Monarch, play Act 1, defeat the Crimson Eye, play Act 2, and fight and destroy the Phantom Egg, after which you will continue to the Egg Reverie Extra Zone. My confusion stemmed from the fact Ultimate Gemerl only appears in the true ending (this means finding all 70 chao in the game (10 in each Zone) and then finding those f***ing SP Keys, which are wasted whether you get the emerald or not, clearing the SP stages and procuring said emerald, and then entering Altar Emerald with Sonic as the main character. Soz

To me, the final boss of Forces is the conclusion of long and draining war within the sonic universe. Dismantling the control of the eggman empire. A indirect happy ending to the cliffhangers in the archie comics
Mega Wisp armor’s THEME- I loved. But to me it’s really bland. Besides the cube attacks, it’s always the same things. (The game not the music.)
Here’s something I thought about WHAT IF the sega made a sonic game that incorporated every sonic boss battle put them into a single boss battle combining every sonic boss up to that point from the original Sonic game to the latest release and fused everyone to create the most powerful boss the sonic franchise has ever seen and takes the power of sonic, silver and shadow in super form plus everyone else helping even reviving some characters we lost down the line somehow and together they beat this… abomination and had this collision where all the realities and timelines merged leading up to another game… also when I say everyone I mean EVERYONE sonic has met built a friendship with or even had a small interaction with this could be… well… a very interesting idea… I’m just now realizing how long this looks and is and I apologize for it

I enjoyed this video so much here is my biggest like I gotta say I didn't expect a few choices in some the spots but I like this ranking and Sonic 06 is next one huge movie video I'm up for it :) question why were the spinoffs not added and if they were where would you put them.
Depends on what you mean by spin-offs. If you're referring to Mario & Sonic and Sega All-Stars, those don't have final bosses so I can't say.

Wii / PS2 Unleashed’s final fight and Xbox 360 / PS3 Unleashed’s graphics.
And maybe make Dark Gaia’s first phase of the Wii version when you control Chip / Gaia Colossus longer so you don’t end it in 30 seconds.
Still an amazing game tho. Favourite Sonic game.
Fighting Dark Gaia as Super Sonic face to face in the Wii/PS2 is the coolest and most terrifying thing, that close and personal and the fact that you need to hit his eyes is crazy

I never really understood why the Wii U version of the final boss of Lost World is always called a Nega Wisp Armor clone when the 3DS version is right over there literally using Wisps instead of pure planet energy.

46:23 the way i look at Shadow's death and Ressurection. The explanation given makes sense of Eggman grabbing him with one of his robots, he gets saved but with Amnesia so he still had proper consequences of the fall. Now he had 2 whole games of trying figure out who he was. By the time of 06 Shadow gets argubly is best story and conclusion. Too bad it was in 06 but Shadow story was genuinely good in that game.
It took till Xgens to continue Shadow's story again. No forces and Gens dont count, he was there and interacted with the cast but he didnt do much that continued his character. Had a good boss fight in gens and his worst line of dialogue in the ending. Forces he developed a villain in a really stupid way but it said more about Infinite than Shadow.

I saw the 1st sonic riders and I want it but...do I buy a game cube(Nintendo fan)which is expensive these days and a copy of it or do I wait for Nintendo to release riders on the switch?(if they ever do it) old games can freeze on new consoles but they'll look old on new screens and the subs barely readable so... what do I do? game cube or (switch)?
The current odds of Riders coming to Switch is zip. So you can either buy a GameCube or a Wii which can make play GameCube games.

@@tonysonic456 What is sad about that guy, is that he looked more promising than Henry from the first game because he had 3 phases, and Henry only had one. But in the end, Jasper got ruined because of how unfairly difficult he was.
ok I agree that the HD version of unleashed boss is worse than the wii but you can't keep it too low. It's still fun in my opinion.

Hot take: If I had to play one of the 3 main Sonic Boom games I’d be Rise of Lyric. I’ve seen playthroughs of it on YouToube and it honestly doesn’t seem so bad. But that’s just my opinion. Everyone can hate on it all they want but I’ll be Boom’s side. Plus I do like the show. Kind of wish we got to see more connections to the show to the games considering RoL is supposed to be a prequel to the show. The only episode that we get close to relating to the games is the small robot from Fire & Ice.

I mean… in 2006 people would hate it… but I like to dub it as the end of old Sonic
I mean the ending of this game felt like the ending for the series, I mean it was different from most Sonic games and the main villain actually kills Sonic "Only for him to be brought back to life" along with Sonic, Shadow and Silver fighting against the most powerful being in the universe and wins.
Even Sonic finding love and learning that life isn't about speed.
This would have been a perfect close

Well, as a whole, the Wii version looks worse and has a couple design decisions that hinder it like not being able to boost continuously.

Only flaw with unwiished is the controls. They set the most akward inputs for basic moves, like, shake the remote for a homing attack??? spamming the A button wouldve made a lot more sense...
I think the ultimate final boss does look awesome, but I prefer the original final boss music, the remix is really good, but there’s something about the original that I like more
