since u guys wanted to see, you should go back to this video and go to the part where yangyang was about to speak in all the languages he knows, and you'll see that the video lie the red part where it shows how far you're in of the video, it has little sections and in that section where he begins speaking, I think it says the name of the video also
Yangyang, the guy who can speak spanish lived in german for years so he can definitely speak german better than spanish although not fluently but he's more familiar with german than spanish.
As a german I tell y’all, it’s like one of the hardest languages out there and it makes German Ncitizens appreciate Yangyang even more :)

Watching WayV on livestreams is honestly fascinating. They really do mindlessly flip languages mid-sentence and someone would answer in a different language and no one questions it. The people who translate thier livestreams are amazing because the guys would constantly switch between Mandarin, Korean, cantonese, and english. And honestly, it's not hard to stick multiple languages in one sentence if you're fluent in it and not thinking about it? Like most of my convos with my parents is a mix of Mandarin w/ english stuck in between. But it is much harder to "forcibly" switch languages when you're thinking about it. Like if I'm speaking to someone in english, and they tell me to "speak chinese", I'll freeze up for a sec because I have to "rewire" my brain to switch on the chinese. Yes, YangYang speaks German, he lived there for about 6 years before coming to Korea. His Starbuck microwave story, he was having the convo with the barista in Korean and didn't understand the word for "microwave" and thought she was asking if he wanted it as "take out" the whole thing happened in Korean, he just said the story in english.
I am Thai live in Bangkok(speak Thai) born in Nothest(speak isan dialect). My husband is Japanese, he never speak Japanese to me(we speak Thai sometime to explain in English or Japanese)I study short corse of Japanese while my husband watch Japanese TV, I am an anime lover. I used to work in tour company so I have a few friends speak English plus my area of living in BKK most neighbour are foreigner. While I speak Isan to maid in my apartment,Thai, English, some Japanese sometime to people around. To tell you the truth. Sometime I even take a short break to think what language I heard. I am not that smart so this happend to me. Haha

I am Lao so I know Laotian, my mom different Lao dialect, Thai, Issan Dialect, grew up in USA so I’m fluent in English, but I live in Hawaii so I know Hawaiian Pidgin English, studied Japanese, know some Korean as well and now I’m picking up Mandarin. My mind is a mess. 😂
That's how I am with my family. I am fluent in three languages, but I freeze up if I force myself to speak another language that I don't use dominately.
@@NawalKirmani12345 It's honestly a fascinating topic to get in to. I think it also comes down to what language you associate with what person or place. Like at work and most places, my mind automatically just spits out english and english only, with my parents, it's a mix of english and mandarin, with my grandparents it's just mandarin. But when someone who I'm not used to speaking, say mandarin asks me to, my brain needs to rewire to switch on that language xD.
I think they didn't show off YangYang's German because none of the other members can speak it so there aren't many clips of him speaking in German though he definitely HAS shown off his German before. He said that since he moved to Korea he's been using more Korean and Chinese and haven't had a chance to use German so he's lost a bit of his abilities but that he started studying German again so that he can keep up his skills.

about the whole starbucks microwave thing: wayv live in korea and can speak korean pretty well (some members are close to fluent but all of them can make their way around) so yangyang spoke in korean for the whole conversation. the starbucks staff must've not noticed that he's a foreigner because his pronunciation in korean is really good, so she must've been like ?? why doesn't this dude understand heating it up?? and then later she must've either said 'microwave' in english or korean which yangyang finally understood. he also said "I want it to-go/take out" in korean itself.

The way this video was 90% yangyang yeah he’s crazy 😭 like while ten is the multilingual that has a hard time like switching and sticks to one at a time YangYang is the type that speaks all of them at once 😭✋🏽
I’m kind of mixed between them the way I speak changes due to my setting like during school hours I only speak English naturally ;unless I’m tired then it’s a mess) but then after that when I’m with my mother I mix english and somali at the same time and when I’m with my sibling I mix english somali and arabic. Since our parents aren’t fluent in arabic it gets confusing af sometimes.
I think Yangyang said the take out part in Korean to the lady but he explained it in English to the fans.

As a German nctzen I really appreciate Yangyang cuz German is probably one of the most difficult languages and he still keeps up with it for the fans
Yes yangyang is fluent in german and yes they can speak 7 different languages and usually they speak at least 3 or 4 in every damn video... it's very entertaining to keep up with😂

There’s a couple of clips of Yangyang singing a German nursery song, I’m surprised they’re not in this video.
The multilingual struggle is real! Even in my country, English is the other main language, and it's what we're taught our whole lives in school. But when we step outside our classrooms, we speak our native language. Then it has evolved into mixing both in daily conversations. It's fascinating, yet at the same time, true fluency in a both languages is a bit compromised because if, for example, you don't know who to say a word or a phrase in language A, your brain easily switches to language B.

-Mandarin and Cantonese (two different language in China)

-Japanesse (ten used to live in japan)
-Thai- (he lived in Thailand)
-Cantonese- (he learned since her mom speaks Cantonese)
*KOREA( they needed to learned it since they were trainee in Korea)
1. Yangyang doesn't speak Cantonese or atleast he is still trying to learn.
2. Ten didn't live in Japan.. He understands Japanese because in SM, trainees has to learn Japanese, Mandarin or English besides the foreigner trainees who need to learn Korean and most NCT members took Japanese lessons.
3. Ten also doesn't speak Cantonese (tho he is learning these days)... when he first went to Korea, he is only fluent in English and Thai.
SM's language genius unit, they use a lot of languages, 4-5 languages spoken a day. As you can see, they even ask, What language will you speak today?😄

Yangyang is better in German than in Spanish as he used to live in Germany at a young age. His German is slipping away though because of the lack of use on a daily basis, but he's been studying it again to refresh his memory and so he wouldn't forget it. There are lots of videos of him speaking German actually.
On another side, pretty sure Mark knows a good amount of French as well as he's Canadian and he showed that he knows a few words in French on random occasions. Johnny knows basic Spanish I believe! They're pretty much a walking dictionary of diff languages...

I can feel YangYang sm. Sometimes I think in English and sometimes in Tagalog. It depends upon the situation I guess. I speak 3 languages I tend to mix them up and I get confused too sometimes.

I am taking French but I know Spanish but I know Korean Chinese and Thai so sometimes I think in all different language I sometimes confuse myself bc I be think in Korean sometimes but try to translate it back in English for the people around me to understand

In French we have lots of muted letters in a word that's why sometimes it's hard. I've never studied Spanish but I can understand some things because of the common Latin roots with French

Yangyang grew up in Germany speaking Mandarin & German
German is actually pretty easy from English (I say this from experience) because english is partly derived from german so a lot of words are similar, Korean has an alphabet so its easier than some languages, mandarin is quite hard (though I really enjoyed it in school) cos they don't have an alphabet so most words are their own thing (also pronunciation is super hard to romanize) I'm also pretty good with french (once again english derived from french so not that different) its jsut the masc & femme things that are WILD for me
For me it was harder to learn Spanish than French, but I think that's because I had an actual teacher for French. My Spanish teacher worked at a different school, so we taught ourselves 99 percent of the time. At one point French was almost like a second language to me, but I forgot everything when I started learning Korean and Spanish. I started learning German but I gave up.

I took Latin in school (worst decision ever)
I actually wanted Spanish but the class was full and as my second choice I had Latin because I can talk a little bit Italian so I thought it could be easier and because my brother had it. Anyway I was really bad and later switched schools.
