- In this video I am starting the 4.3L/5 Speed Swap on my 1984 4X4, 2DR S10 Blazer that had a 2.8L Carb/Auto in it but IMO the 2.8L just didn't have enough power in order to do any Off-Roading, So I'm doing a 4.3L/5 Speed Swap on it from a 1993 S10 Extended Cab Truck and I can't wait to get it done...

Thank you, I wish I would have gotten more video of me actually removing the Engine, But I was literally all over the place and if I would have had to deal with a camera at the same time then I probably still wouldn't be done with it LMAO, But I'm working on getting the 4.3/5 Speed out of the Blue Truck Now and I think I'm going to start setting up a time lapse camera in the background that way it catches Everything 🤔

Me too man, I've been waiting to get started on it, I just couldn't do it while it was super hot outside tho, but now that it's cooling down some I'm jumping head first into it LoL
My 86 s10 had a 4 speed manual I rebuilt the original 5 speed and put it back in the truck huge difference in power
Was it a 2.8L or 4.3L ??? Bc I haven't seen a 2 Door, 4X4, Square Body Blazer with a 4.3/5 Speed in it yet that someone hasn't built anyways...

Ohh ok, Yeah the Red Donor Blazer that I had bought awhile back for the Frame it was a 4 or 5 Speed 2.8L as well, When I bought it it still had the Engine in it which the guy had said was blown up but the Transmission was already gone, But I did get the Pedal Assembly out of it and I'm also planning on using the Floor part where the 4X4 Shifter & the 4/5 Speed Shifter Handle came up through it from it and weld it into my Blazer (I think) after I measure where the hole needs to go and all that, but the reason I want that piece is bc of the Factory Studs for the bolts that holds the Shifter Boot down, But then again it's really going to depend on how much extra work that's going to be to do or if I'm better off just cutting the heads off a couple bolts and welding them to my Blazers floor instead 🤔🤔🤷🤷 really the only thing that I'm worried about with this whole project is is the Wiring & the ECM, Bc where I am keeping my 84 Dash and where it's a Manual Dash and the Speedometer is Cable Driven and I'm going to use the Transfer Case from the 2.8L that way I can keep the Cable Driven Speedometer, Plus the Fuel Gauge, Temp Gauge and the Volt Gauge, I don't know how the ECM for the 4.3L TBI is going to like not having those items not hooked up, So yeah the Wiring is probably going to be the worse part for me on this project LoL
Also, After I get my Blazer done I'm planning on doing a SBC 350 Swap on my truck if I can find a good 350 that is, It ain't going to be nothing special, just another "How Cheap can I do a 350 Swap for" video LoL
They never come apart as one, lol. I've done a few in the past.
I had put it together planning on that if I ever had to take it back apart that I'd take it apart as one whole piece, But as I took what bolts I needed to out I realized that I didn't have a 2nd person to help me remove it LoL, So I just took it apart, which actually wasn't that bad to do, I just can't wait to get this done tho, I can't wait to drive it
@@s10_4_life6 yeah it takes two. Even then it can be a pain. But atleast you will know what goes where.
Yeah it just sucks that it's getting ready to rain here tho so I'm not able to work on it 😭

Oh yeah 100% LoL, Same thing with Snow, It's like people want to drive 100mph down the road with Snow on it and then get pissed off when they wreck their vehicle LoL, But Stupid People will do Stupid Things tho 🤣

Yeah I haven't posted any videos for a couple months bc I've not really done anything to the Blazer or my truck bc I haven't had the Extra Cash to buy parts bc my Bills have been taking it all 😡 but I did get the 4.3L/5 Speed out of the Donor S10 and now it's ready to be put into the Blazer, I just need to buy a Fuel Tank and Fuel Pump & Sending Unit for it, But now that the weather is starting to warm up some I am going to start trying to get it done and I'll start trying to post more, I actually might try to do a video tomorrow if I can ok

By the way where or what did you get those fender flares from they look sweet I need those for my 86
Hey I know this is 10 months old but RUclips never sent me a notification and I'm just now seeing all the missed comments 🤦
But I basically got really lucky and found a guy that had a NOS (New Old Stock) set of Square Body Blazer Fender Flares and he sold them to me, I've heard that the Front Bushwhacker Fender Flares will also fit the rear as well, I was told that you just have to take the Front Driver Side Flare and put it on the Rear Passenger Side and the Front Passenger Flare on the Rear Driver Side, BUTTT the last time I checked tho those Bushwhacker Fender Flares was like $300 dollars just for the Front 2 Flares tho 😳😱
