Watch this video of how Fr Jude David became a priest and about his ordination (1 Jan 2014). In this video, Fr Jude David shares about his internal struggle into the priesthood. As the eldest son who had to help support the family in tough financial times, he did not receive the support to become a priest initially. He was torn between filial piety and vocation.
From stories about being at the lowest point in life, to losing a child or a spouse to encounters with the God who made us and knows us. These are just but a sampling of stories ‘new parables’ about how people have walked their journeys in life either with the Lord or finding him later as a result of the challenges they faced. Families and individuals have found the sometimes subtle but recognisable workings of the Lord in their circumstances.
