Hey so Revolutionary Girl Utena is actually one of the earliest subversions of the magical girl genre which makes it Madoka Magica's grand-mommy. No disrespect to it here. I understand that you might not be aware of it as it's an older show. I also only recently knew of its existence while doing a deep dive in shoujo for my dissertation but I must admit that it's an absolute classic. It's somewhat like NGE to magical girl-ism
Utena is *so good* and I wish more people knew about it. But as someone who loves it I am immensely aware that it isn't for everyone. It can be _a lot_ at times.

You get a match, you learn about the opponents justification mid match and leading up to the match. You move on. That being said. Wind breakers is a top 5 sports anime
