I have been building more 3.5" quads than any other size lately, because they fly a lot more like a 5" than a 3" does. But they're still fairly quiet, and it doesn't use the amount of space a 5" requires. Gemfan is supposed to be putting some 3.5" props out soon, which we need badly! More 3.5" prop choices would be wonderful! Awesome video! That area is unbelievably beautiful!!

My 1st build was the GepRC Sparrow 3¨ and there´s nothing else I´d rather fly 4 yrs later for all the reasons you mentioned! I have 5 inchers and personally don´t like all the noise, cost and space they occupy when you go flying making my go-to the 3¨ Sparrow.

Wenn ich den Quad verbinde (hab ne TX-12 mit crossfire, fliege also nicht mit der DJI Funke) erlaubt mir die goggle bis zu 700 MW und 50 Mbit sowie 8 Kanäle (bei 25 Mbit) - kann ich mich auf diese Angaben verlassen? Weil im Display immer noch 25.4 Mbit zu sehen ist auch im 50 Mbit Modus? Schalte ich die goggle ein und sie ist NICHT mit dem Quad verbunden hab ich die 25 MW und kann da auch nichts einstellen. Übernimmt die Goggle tatsächlich die Einstellungen der Caddx Vista? Und ja...ich flieg natürlich nur mit 25 MW, mehr ist in good old Germany ja nicht erlaubt :-(
Danke fürs Lob. Wenn du bei transmission auf 50mbit stellst, musst unter Player wieder einen Kanal wählen, erst dann aktiviert er den mode. Dass siehst dann auch im osd rechts unten. Von 50 wieder zurück auf 25mbit geht übrigens nur, wenn man sich mit einer airunit oder Vista verbindet. Allein mit den goggles geht das nicht, was ärgerlich ist, wenn man zb nur den audience mode nutzen will und seinen quad nicht dabei hat...

@@Rcschim hi ya, this is my second build, i have mamba f722 mini with 128k f40 esc, tmotor f1404 3800 and i have all the express lrs working, gps and then went to motor settings and no.3 smoked and this is after all presets, dshot 600 rpm filtering, blheli 32 latest edition, 22° ,ramp up 40% and 128k by rpm. im gutted, must be bad motor
Yes, the polar is pretty ok, outstanding in the darkness. My only little complaint about it: for freestyle it feels a bit to slow (of course with 60fps and motion blur). for scenic flying the polar is really nice! Smart35 still my fav copter this year!
hey man, i knocked the top off my hglrc long antenna, (while sitting at a park bench) the active element doesnt seem to be soldered to the center of the coax?, is that normal? or have i knocked off the solder too? bit shocked how easily it came off. ( i slid my bag with drone mounted on it, along the bench and antenna got dragged across the back metal strips of bench.) should i just solder it, i'm going to solder it unless you tell me not to.
Hey, I'm on the road and can look in the hangar tomorrow. Check my one video with wrong polarization a few month back, compare the pics in the meantime.
This ticks a lot of boxes on my list: DJI, available with Crossfire, F722 and below 250g, at least with the smaller batteries. Just flew one of my 3" quads after months of only flying 5" and 6" quads (and a lot of fixed wing EDF jets🙃). It really feels less stressful because it is a little slower and more agile. It's easier to hit gaps and gates. Btw. if you are done reading that book, could you record an audio-book version of it? 😄
But, it's got the terribly reviewed by everyone on RUclips, Caddx Vista Nebula Nano camera! IT SUCKS! Do your research... those camera equipped quads are sitting on every dealers shelves and not selling because of that cameras image quality! They're even on Clearance sale for $200, and still not selling! 😩🤬
obviously someone is even more fed up with the cam as I am (ScootRotor) :) Yep, if those smaller copters on oldfashioned 4cells can give us enough thrills - whilst at the same time being easier to fly anywhere - they will be very popular for sure. I'd be too lazy to rec an audio-book ;) But it has lots of pis in it :)
@@Rcschim Well, I haven't used an air unit with the nebula nano yet, but I guess replacing it with the camera of my normal vista would be an option. And if the copters with the nano are sold that cheap; at least it has the air unit, maybe buy a better cam later, when they are available again 🙂 I'm also waiting for a crossfire nano RX receiver for more than two month now. They all are having these chip-problems.
Awesome flying and locations! Is this your favourite quad? I'm just switching to DJI digital system on my 5" and I'm wondering if I should get a 3.5" too on DJI, either this or babyhawk ii hd (which I can get locally and comes with caddx nebula pro), which would you recommend?
Thanks! This little one definitly got a lot of flying last year. 3.5" is so agile and so much fun and not so loud, noticeable as a 5" copter (for park flying). If you can get the babyhawk2 Hd - I'd go with this. they fly pretty similar but the good nebula pro is important for freestyle. low latency mode is a must imho, if you wanna fly with tricks. For just cruising around a normal cam is ok.
All DVR I will upload a tutorial about how to get the best DVR quality out there soon... of course the 50mbit mode is most important - then you can choose between high quality and lowlatency (lot latency is faster, better for you to fly, a bit lower quality later, but not much).

i watched the rimzler review, he was completely smitten too, i'm getting kinda desperate for a less dangerous quad, almost everywhere i fly i am restricted by blind spots and paths i can't see people coming that need to be avoided which really spoils the vids, imma watch long version now. ps. i was forced to build number 2 quad with nebula v2, i did not hate it.

@@diixx_fpv Recursion Labs has a video testing 3.5" props on 1404 and 1408 motors. The HQ T3.5x2x3 is significantly more efficient at all thrust values than the emax scimitar props, but gives you only about 1-4% less peak thrust, so it is definitively recommended to switch to them. Gemfan also has a prop almost as good as the HQ one.

I was looking the cinelog 25 because of wheelbase and propeller guards for resistance. Regarding durability, crash resistance and the fact that I am a beginner, which one would you recommend between one of these 3 drones : cinelog 25 or cinelog 30 or this one ? I was really thinking that a cinewhoop is better for a beginner because of propeller guards but maybe I am wrong. What would be your advise ? Best regards
To learn with id go with something a bit smaller and cheaper like a larva x or geprc phantom, they both fly really well... and get a simulator to practice on you'll save yourself alot of money from crashing and breaking your drones and having to repair them
Looks a really nice machine...BUT,here in Portugal they insist on you requesting permission to fly from the Portuguese CAA for ANY kwad,with any type of camera, regardless of weight! Apparently the police or military police can fine you up to €20,000..if you don't register your flight.. 😳😲 Paranoia or what?
That sounds bad for you. But Portugal liberated drug use on the other hand, right? You cannot have everything ;) ( hope it gets easier for you soon tho)

@@Rcschim yes the Apex. Chris Rosser did a resonance review on the frame and it doesn't have the vibration issues of a lot of frames out there.

Stimmt, Versicherung brauchst theoretisch für jede Drohne eigens.

I was wondering could you get any camera tilt using the dji camera?
Not any, but decent enough uptilt. I couldn't screw in the cam, so it is just clamped between the plates, but it holds pretty good.

my drone flies for 6 minutes instead of the promised 8-10. I still haven't been able to solve this riddle.
if you fly slower, cruise around you should get more time. Or try 18650 4S LiIon packs (less punch, more flighttime)
