I live by the Rockford, IL Woodman’s. I have gotten so many good bottles there at great prices, including allocated bottles. Their everyday price for Old Forester 1910 is $46.99 and $48.99 for 1920. Picked up a Blanton’s Gold there last Saturday for $126 and 3 weeks ago I got an Elmer T Lee for $48.99. 🥃

No one beats Woodman’s prices
$32 for Russell's Reserve is unreal!
We were completely blown away!
They use to be that price at the woodman's by me in Illinois a month ago but they NOW raised it to $39 😒
Huh it's $28 at my local store. But then again almost everything at their store is cheaper. Redwood is $28 also! Just the regular pipe dream. I've seen on bourbon hunting videos Russell's 10 go for $50 and a lot higher.

You have one of the best hunting videos on RUclips as the perfect pace and distance from the bottles and you always make sure you have the bottle and price in the frame. I love your videos. We in Kenosha know what a great liquor store this is! Bourbon selection is great. While Binny's in Gurnee, IL may have some great prices for their sale items, they cannot compete with the everyday prices at Woodman's. But they don't have Glenn's Creek Distillery's OCD# 5. Have to go to Woodman's in Oak Creek, WI for that.
We've only seen OCD once and we passed it up because we didn't know how good it was at the time. This is great advice, thank you!
If you like the Woodman’s in Kenosha, you have to go to the one in Rockford. That’s their bourbon store. Cheers!

It's not their "bourbon store" but those two locations are known for putting out random gems. Rockford will put out Pappy/BTAc/other allocated one or few at a time on a whim at MSRP in the middle of the week.

Great store. That is where I picked up that OH Ingram Single Barrel. Wolfersheim is a distillery in Wisconsin that is supposedly good. Cannot beat $31.99 for Green River and Redwood Empire and $21.99 for OGD114. $47.99 for Kentucky Spirit is unreal. My Woodman’s in Rockford, IL has the best price on Old Forester 1910 ($45.99) and 1920 ($48.99).
Middle west pumpernickel rye !!And all of the Ben holiday stuff for sure also you can never go wrong with a Jack Daniels barrel proof

Driftless Glen Bourbon De Naranja and Templeton Bourbon are two I'd grab
Some great Values there. Ones that stand out to me is Starlight VDN, The Bowman Port Barrel, The Jack SBBP Bourbon, High West Cask Collection, Ben Holliday Rickhouse, and The Knob Creek 9 Single Barrel Reserve, all great prices for these bottles.
Some good callouts here!
The Noteworthy is fairly bland, and for a finished product, that is noteworthy. It was one of the few finished product I didn't dislike, but it also wasn't worth buying again.

Thanks for watching! $30 is a little pricey. Surprisingly, that's not even the ceiling for WI pricing. We found it at the Costco nearby for $19 later! Wisconsin clearly knows what they're doing.
I would have picked up, Rawling station, Driftless glenn,OGD114, or any store pick at cask strength. Cheers 🍻

The Widow Jane 10 year for $69.99 is a good price. $10 cheaper than I have been able to find it in Iowa. I definitely would have purchased one.
So cheap! We thought about grabbing that too, but we couldn't pass up the Russell's. Maybe next time.

Thanks for watching! We had a SiB bourbon that we really enjoyed on the neck pour, but it immediately changed and we didn't like it as much. Which bourbon would you recommend?
@@BondingOverBourbon Their Rye is actually really good and sought after. They are doing great things a Driftless. They are young. They put their first barrel up in 2014. Their 5 year bourbon is what a 5 year should be but can't wait for what's to come. I live just down the road from the distillery.

Great store, I live in Illinois, had to go to the Kenosha Woodman's to pickup Fortaleza Blanco tequila, cannot find it in my neck of the woods.
Fortaleza has definitely been elusive for a minute. We even see it in allocated raffles now.
Wow --- incredible selection and some great prices! Never seen a bottle of the Old Forester Statesman in the wild before! Funny though, not one Buffalo Trace product ANYWHERE!

I live 15min from that store, all that bourbon and I can never get anything from Buffalo Trace there.

Blue ash farm is good I haven’t tried the maple since I don’t like maple flavored bourbon
We tried the small batch recently and weren't crazy about it. We're not big fans of maple finishes, though, so I'm not sure if we're going to try it.
Look for kings county barrel strength bourbon. Should be around $100 but it’s amazing!

Right!?! The sales tax was only 5%, but the liquor tax is $.85/liter. That's about half the price of what we pay for tax in Chicago. Thanks for watching!
I think those prices and selections are better than the Woodmans in Lakemoor, IL... They are great stores for more than just liquor, too!

Hatch is distilled in Egg Harbor, WI and is outstanding.
What's it like? We couldn't find any reviews online.

We were surprised by that as well! You think they'd have a bunch being in Wisc, but we didn't find any at all.

@@drinkthebottles We cracked open a Binny's SiB Cask Strength that was truly remarkable. However, the next time we poured it the taste completely changed in under a week and we didn't like it as much. What's your experience with this?
@@BondingOverBourbon Hmm...that IS interesting. Yes, I've experienced this with a couple of bottles, but not Driftless Glen specifically. Nothing more heartbreaking then having a bottle that doesn't live up to your expectations or that goes south after opening it.
