Just came across this review on the IBEX 800 T and I found it very helpful. You pretty much laid out all I needed to know about the bike. I live in Florida as well and the heat has been an issue as of late. I'm 71 years old now and am riding the Triumph Tiger 850s. Great bike but the heat off the motor hits my knees directly. Not bad in the winter but the summers are brutal at stop lights. This bike and the new Moto Morini X Cape looks like a nice option in the future for me. I appreciate your video review. Have fun and keep it real!

Glad to hear! Thanks and hope you find that bike that does burn you up! Cheers

Great review. I actually went to look at one at my local dealer. It's very impressive and looked great. Maybe this summer...

New ones run 8-9k around dallas and Houston (for the T model). Still working on the wife and I’ll have one.

I’m 5’5” and ordered that lowering guide for the shock but don’t know how to install it. I haven’t been able to find any info on doing it. If you post up a vid of your install, that would be great.

Yes once I find a good spring compressor for the shock I will. All you have to do is compress the spring and the cup slides right out. That’s why is has that cut out.

I did one on a V strom. Pretty easy. Be sure to use blue loktite for peace of mind.

Hi, sorry I didn't get what you said about the engine coolant, you swapped it for the engine what?

    • @MJTechChannel

I swapped it for a coolant called Engine Ice. I shared the link in the description of the video.

Nice ride. 👍🏻 How about the stock wind deflector, do you think it could use another one on top when riding on the highway? I may be purchasing one in the near future also. It's full of features I like. 🤔

Yes you can buy an extension.

I stick over the wind screen maby 2 inches but after 600 miles (mostly highway) in 4 days I dont personally think so but also it's like 30 bucks off amazon.

Definitely too low. Especially with ADV helmet like my Kim Karissa pro. Hits it right in the bill.

Hi! Are there any disturbing vibrations you can feel in your limbs on the footrests?
( I had a V2 V current, 650 Transalp bike, no problems, but I tried the new 750 Transalp, it had strong vibrations on the footrest, handlebars!)

Did you regret your Z900? I'm about to make the same move...2022 z900 ->2023 Ibex Touring, how's the bike compare to each other un the twisties? I know, the Ibex is not a sport bike, but can you have some fun anyway, or the bike scrape at every little bit fast corner 😂

Wish I could afford keeping both bikes, but don’t regret the Ibex at all.

If you want some excitement in your life, forget the Pan America, try the KTM1290SAS. About same height, eletronic suspension. It handles well, very fast and buckets of torque at any rpm. I like my CF Moto, but it doesn't have the WOW factor of the 1290.

The old me would have told the young me to get an adventure bike instead of a sportbike or a 690 700 supermoto that can be converted from super moto to dirt bike or adventure bike by changing parts.

you should never pay above 1500 from msrp price including fees, mark up, etc. Of course it's going to require you to have some negotiating skills.

Hit up moto 4 play if you wanna get that shock fixed. He is up north Florida but will ship and is a trusted suspension tech for Florida Trail Riders harescramble series.
