Above & Beyond, to say the least. I have been trying to decide which service to use. This video was most helpful in demonstrating real-time visuals of the process. Also, your analysis of facility security is very accurate. 😊
Always makes me feel better about doing business with a company when they allow visitors to see how they operate. When I see an investigation get turned away or hear “company choose not to respond for comment “ it makes them seem quite ominous.
Really appreciate how much you went above and beyond, in creating this youtube video. A lot of planning, traveling, and expense. I hope that your viewers appreciate this as much as I did. Thanks again.
@AllThingsSecured What about a pmd (Personal mail box) from ups, which is not a po box? I've had one in the past for a business, and didn't have any issues. But my main concern will be how are these virtual addresses looked at from lending institutions to establish business credit, and also for a logistics business that requires a physical address? I know a shared office spaces cover all aspects , because they actually allow you to use their address, to receive mail, and temporary office space when needed. I hope this makes sense , just looking an affordable way to do this. Thanks in advance
1. What level of security do we want? 2. Need option to pick up mail in person? 3. Do we receive time sensitive mail (make sure it’s not a forwarding address)
I found out something very interesting. I was looking at mailbox opportunities as I will be selling on Amazon and getting a virtual address. I typed in the address for PostScanMail and Anytime Mail - They use some of the same addresses. When I typed in the physical address on Google - over 25 different businesses showed up using the physical address with different SUITE #s
If my streaming becomes even moderately successful then this is exactly the type of thing that I'll need. That'll be months from now at best, realistically, but it's nice to know that this sort of service exists and is trustworthy.
@@cloud24patrol Good question, and this is a nice progress check for myself as well. I've since learned that it's a very slow process & that some people stream for a year or two before they find a niche where they take off. As of now, I have 20-some followers (the number fluctuates, but it's typically between 20 to 25 and I'm told that this fluctuation is normal). People join the stream depending on what you're playing or doing and when you're doing it, so you'll get a few percent or so of your followers into chat. I do have a regular lurker or two, however, and lurkers are the backbone of any stream. In hindsight, I should have originally said "in about a year" rather than "months from now", but it is steadily if slowly improving.
I’m moving in a few months, something that I do regularly enough that I should look into these companies to get an address that will persist over years. Getting tired of moving and having to update my profile on 45 ish services.
My dilemma is I have people from out of state that want to send gifts and donations but I don't want them to know what city or state I'm in. The town I'm in is small and Amazon Wishlists exposes my name, city and state. That's enough info to find my public record information and locate me. It's scary to think about.
This is a very good video, thank you! This answered literally every question I could have possibly had and even gave me some recommendations. This was exceptional!
1:24 It's my understanding that PO boxes have allowed you to use a physical address for many years. This is right on their website, along with other features you state are not available, like FedEx and UPS delivery: "24/7 PO Box access at most Post Offices. Street Addressing: Get a delivery address for packages from other carriers (including Amazon, DHL, FedEx, and UPS); subject to availability and restrictions. Keep your signature on file so you don’t need to wait in line to sign for a package. When your signature is on file, we’ll place mail in your PO Box or in a secure parcel locker for pickup at your convenience. Small businesses: Whether you've got a side hustle or a storefront, get a professional-looking address and keep your personal and business lives separate."
Although this is true, a lot of people use these companies as a “residential address” so you can actually be a resident of that state to get a license, register a car, get insurance, etc.. a PO Box does not allow this. This a great option of people who live in vans or RVs and constantly travel around.
I used a USPS p o box for years in an affluent neighborhood in Oakland, CA. I purchased the largest parcel box they had but, due to a design flaw in the actual box, very few packages could fit inside (mostly just envelopes) and still have the drawer open. Thus, I ended up standing in line to have them get my packages, and it took forever because I was in line with everyone else who had business with the USPS from passport services, to picking up their packages, to buying stamps, to whatever. Then you have the seniors who ENJOY going to the USPS every single day, and standing in line, to have their once-a-day interaction with the mail clerks. They have nothing to do but chit-chat, and take their time, while everyone else is standing there tapping their foot trying to get in and out (and I'm 56, so I'm no spring chicken myself, but I work and time is valuable). Since 2005, I've had approximately 9 different USPS post office boxes...all with a physical address...in 4 different busy cities in an urban-dense region (Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, El Cerrito, right across the bay from San Francisco) and no matter which city, or which one of *multiple* USPS locations, all were very time-consuming because you must stand in line to receive any package that is a shoe box size or larger, or one of an odd size. I've vacillated from almost 100% strictly business zones where all the people were business owners/employees who were in a hurry, some with a dozen or more boxes they were just dropping off to areas that would be considered extremely affluent (not a condo less than $1M), all the way down to one servicing students at UC Berkeley. If you are in an urban-dense area the USPS is *not* the way to go if your time matters to you. Now, if you live in a small city like Wichita, KS, the USPS might be great. Moral of the story: know your market and know it well. If your time, or your employee's time, matters to you, I would encourage you to avoid the USPS. Also, I've used the USPS in other states and other geographic regions in California, and had the same experience because they were all densely populated (Dallas, Houston, Manhattan, Hoboken, NJ, Hermosa Beach, CA, Playa del Rey, CA [where LAX is located]). You spend a lot of time in line waiting to get your packages even when you have a signature on file.
Decision points: 1. Security level 2. Willl/could you pickup mail in person? 2.1 Could you do that for the bigger central mialing locations? (Even if its like once a month/for bank letters, within return windows etc.) Could be your monthly cycle endurance test - however you want to justify this journey could be worth it. 3. Do you receive time sensitive mail?
Watching other videos on virtual mailboxes, it seems that there are younger people getting into the business. Living abroad, the last thing I need is one that will close down because they couldn’t run the business profitably. That’s a huge headache thinking about everything I have to update. So I think another important consideration is to find a virtual mailbox that is backed by a solid company and not a mom and pop operation.
I settled on Traveling mailbox, in the checkout (annual plan) it has a space for referral/promo code that isn’t auto filled. I used your link, just wanted to make sure I don’t miss a step.
Thanks for this! I'm caught up in an estate battle because of a will not being notarized correctly. Since it involves people I know nothing about, I'm not giving my home address or po box. I wanted to give 123 I don't think so st, but that wouldn't work per the attorneys hahaha. I signed up for one but then asked for notarized documents and I started to wonder if I did the right thing. I don't anticipate anything ever actually going there, it's just for privacy.

We would like to use a virtual mailbox to keep an address in South Dakota as a tax shelter from the oppressive taxes of California. Of course I will speak with my tax attorney before I do anything, but could you recommend a service? I’ve read that a lot of expat’s use traveling mailbox and I see that you do as well. Possibly. If you ship using logistics companies other than USPS (such as FedEx or UPS), then you might want a virtual address in order to receive returns if that's a possibility. The USPS won't accept packages from other logistics companies.

Hi Josh, this is very helpful. I have two questions. 1) Are you familiar with a virtual mailbox service which shows something residential (Apartment High Rise for example)? (Specifically, I have to list an address with my employer on a document each year. I'd prefer for a busy-body who decides to search it to think it's plausible I live there. I'm looking to set this service up in the coming months, and would be happy to subscribe via a link which may benefit you. 2) I'm new to your channel, and the 1st video of yours we watched had multiple cc languages available. This one for example doesn't. Do you plan to upload text files with permission for RUclips to translate them into at least the same languages you had on your excellent 2 FA video? ruclips.net/video/fzUVrz0ixn8/видео.html Thanks for your help, Pedro
Hey Pedro! Hmm...residential. Personally, I think that the Traveling Mailbox address I link to in this video (the one in North Carolina) looks very residential from the Google Street view. Just my opinion, though. As for languages, I used to have a service automatically translate the captions into various languages, but then I had some people tell me that the translations were a joke. Did you find it useful? If so, I can go back to translating them again.
@@AllThingsSecured On the language front, for your videos I've seen where this was available, the translation was quite respectable. I have yet to see even a movie where 100% was translated correctly, however with 20+ countries speaking Spanish, there's always going to be variation. As a subscriber, and fan of your skillset, I'd be super appreciative if you could add the language options to all of your videos. It allows me to comfortably watch this with native Spanish speakers and will keep us on your channel longer. From what another RUclipsr (a Foodie) has shared, if she doesn't upload a text file to her videos, the translation does get garbled, however she's said when RUclips has the transcript as a text file, the translations are quite good. I think she typically has 6-7 languages available. Here's a link to her most recent video. ruclips.net/video/kkuGve_Hyns/видео.html I assure you, we will get deeper involved with your channel when the videos have these language options.
Please can you let US know the best mailforwarding service in Ohio? We apprecciated your excelent video and professionali help, We are shipping in the USA and sometimes in Europe. Regards Stefano

Do you plan to upload text files with permission for RUclips to translate them into at least the same languages you had on your excellent 2 FA video? ruclips.net/video/fzUVrz0ixn8/видео.html
Thanks for your help,
Pedro
Here's a link to her most recent video. ruclips.net/video/kkuGve_Hyns/видео.html
I assure you, we will get deeper involved with your channel when the videos have these language options.
