Got 7/10! Love these quizzes 😂
Haha thanks
Nice score 😆
11. I kept waiting to see Pink-bellied Woodpecker.
I knew you'd get 11 😝
Pink-bellied is potential future name of Lewis's? I'm yet to see one, unfortunately. I know there was one in Northern Ontario earlier this year, but it was quite the road trip!
Noice! Love this
5 out of 11, I fail. Fun quiz and good learning experience.
Thanks a lot Keith, glad it's helpful. This one and the sparrows one were more challenging, so don't worry!
I got them all correct including the bonus one.
Nice one! 😊
That was fun! I know the woodpecker 😂😂😂 Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas 🎅
I’ve seen all of them except for the Great Spotted WP.
Nice 😊
I got them all, except I’m not sure I should count the red bellied woodpecker because until you said woodpecker I was debating whether it was woodpecker or sapsucker for the name. So, 10 1/2.
You're in the West, right? Well then that's a pretty good score 😊
@@BritHikesOntario yes. California. I knew the acorn, Nuttal’s, and downy right away. I’m hoping to see at least one other when I visit family out east next week. Not sure if that’s possible though.
I got 9 -- not sure I've seen a Nutall's woodpecker before, or even heard of them. Wonder if it will have a new name soon ... Amazing you got 11 species in and didn't even include a flicker.
I'd expect it to get a new name, yeah.
I wanted to include the Northern Flicker.. but I usually stick to 10 (plus sometimes a bonus)... and I was torn between Flicker or including the couple of western species I had footage of. There's too many cool birds! 😆
@@BritHikesOntario Cool birds indeed, and wodpeckers are among the coolest -- so many crazy ways of making a living, likecutting holes in trees and making acorn larders. Flickers are the oddball among oddballs, spending most of their time on the ground while the others are out remodelling the forest ...
Didn’t do the bonus when you said “Eurasia” but otherwise 9 / 10
Good score 👍
I got 7
That's a pretty good score 😊
Yellow Belly Sapsuckers I call them squeaky toy birds, they sound just like a dog’s squeaky chew toy lol.
I am overrun with them here and they even peck at the hydro poles 🙄
Yeah, defintely see more of them once you're north of "the golden horseshoe" area.
First clip of the Downy I think is a Hairy. can you double-check
Downy, but it's a harder one to tell. The angle that the bird is holding its head away from the camera and the tip of the beak being hidden give the illusion of the beak being longer. But you can still see that it isn't as long and bulky as the beak of a Hairy.
You've instilled some doubt in me, to be honest. It's a tougher one. I lean towards larger Downy, but am always open to further opinions.
I was confidently wrong 😉
You're right, it's a Hairy.
Here's the clip in its original context (where I labelled it as Hairy at the time):

You're the only one who noticed this so far, so nice spot.
I only got 6 correct! 😣
That's okay 😊
The last couple of "Guess The Bird" vids have been a bit more challenging.
