I like the pixel 8 pro images much more than iphone 15 pro as the highlights are well exposed with minimal noise in every aspects . Iphone still takes stunning pics too . In video category iphone is slightly better but I believe as soon as video boost comes around the night video graphy would definitely be superior than iphone
This is literally how I feel! Both are very capable camera systems and each have their pros. Pixel seems to have a magic edge though that produces lovely colorization. Can't wait for video boost!
Idk if I'm wrong here but you're the only RUclipsr noticed that there's a difference when taking portraits of humans and pets on those phones. Great job! New subscriber here!
Oh wow, really?!? I am still surprised about it tbh and I don't really understand how it happened haha But the proof is in the pics I guess! Thanks for subbing, welcome to the fam!
Great video, as usual! I still have a 6 Pro and the rest of my family have 7 Pros, and I know you talk about how great the telephoto camera on your 7 Pro is, so I would be curious to see how they stack up against each other
Google has a better UI. Gboard is superior to 🍎 keyboard. Google search bar is better optimized on Pixel and Samsung. On Google if you right scroll on Home screen it takes you to Google Feed. On iPhone it takes you to useless information. Google Maps is easier to navigate and superior to 🍎 Maps. On Google the Home screen is more customizable. Only 🍎 🐑 would make a statement like yours.
the ai features are useless lol. You will never use it and when you view it on a monitor it will not look as good as you thought. All-rounder, iPhone dominates
Great comparison. I've got some stunning shots of my cats on my P8P. It does really well with fur and the oversharpening isn't evident with pets like it is with human portraits. My gf has the iPhone 15 Pro and her lowlight cat photos look way softer and noisier than mine, but her human portraits are much better. Both great in their own ways but also have their own drawbacks
So basically if you are into yellow tint on your photos go with the iPhone but if you are into more contrast in your pics go with the Pixel. I'd pick a Pixel phone for snapping photos over everything else, any day.
If you do a comparison video then you should pick the phone you would go for. So many comparison reviews sit on the fence, yet most of us only buy on phone at a time.
It's so weird that Pixel takes better shots of everything else except for humans. I thought it was the Lidar sensor on the Apple but that should work on pets to. Hmmm...
@TasiaCustode Maybe everyone does, including Google. I've loved my Pixels over the years (I now have the 8 Pro), but most of my pictures are of people. Maybe the temp sensor was originally a lidar sensor that got nixed to hit the $999 price point and if so, I wish they would have just had an "ultra" model with it included for $200 more, even. I wouldn't put one in the selfie if it meant bringing back a chin or notch though.
This is what I noticed on Pixel 4 as well. It takes much better animal picture. It does better job with the fur. I had a Samsung S23 and they oversharpen everything including the fur and makes it looks unnatural
iPhone for video but pixel 8 pro for pictures definitely. And being $300 less than the iPhone. Imagine what else they could've done for those extra $300 in price 🤔 and I love iPhones.
Really nice comparison. I own a pixel but Im pissed off as I was with last 3 models. It can make wonderful photos and portraits to almost every kind of thing BUT humans. I dont know what the hell they do to humans underexposing, losing hdr, really bad cut outs... Thats the reason i always change from pixel to other brand. Seriously, I would like to disable that IA human detection cause is really bad. Who is calibrating the cameras, Google?? Great review btw!
Congratulations on the comparison... I think that on the S23 Ultra you'll get the best of both portrait worlds, both for people and for pets and objects. But here in the comparison, I think the Pixel's edge detection, detail processing, and focal lengths for portraits, give the Iphone the win, despite the slightly more yellowish colors, which sometimes bother.
To be fair on zoom, 15 Pro never stood a chance unlike the 15 Pro Max, but even with the 15 PM I find all of my high zoom photos at hockey games to carry a grayish hue…. Pixel doing some magic for sure
Pixel has one difference with portraits. If I make a regular photo, and add a portrait effect in a Google photo, this portrait photo will be much better than the portrait photo from the camera app.
Day time Poppie needs the Pixel, while night time Poppie needs the iPhone.....lucky you have both ! I have a Vizsla and Rhodesian Ridgeback and Pixel, so it's day shots for us 🙂 On a different note, do you know if it's possible to have one's name displayed differently between gmail accounts ? By that I mean, I have RobP as my name on my main gmail account, but would like to add my full last name on my iMap account (office emails).....so far, I've not seen the option to do that Thank you !
Let's be honest iphone produce the better looking photos to the eye and social media ready pictures however pixel more natural and true to life photos and more detailed while losing the brightness of iphone photos really comes to personal taste
What I think? Firstly this is the most commonly understood video comparison I've watched in a long time. As an Android person and person of color, I can only use a pixel phone because of the AI stuff but not for the camera, and that includes Samsung. Google cameras make dark skin darker, especially around the face and then make dark shadows around the neck when the lights are gone down. Samsung overexposed everything and colors are off. Samsung only does better with selfies. If our Chinese counterparts were releasing their phones globally with all the preorders and trade in deals that we enjoy from our north American phones, I could never buy these ones we get here. Vivo, Oppo, and Xiaomi are better when it comes to cameras, especially Vivo and Oppo
I prefer iPhone as not into AI, erasers etc, as I like everything natural looking. Never go to concerts and rarely use zoom; don’t own any pets either so every way iPhone is the clear winner for me 😊.
iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max has more attention to detail when it comes to color accuracy & details on portrait modes. They’re still king when it comes to video. The other categories are a toss
I watched some videos comparing Pro Max to Pixel 8 Pro and some people said Pro Max was better at telephoto - certainly wasn't the case for my 15 Pro. The portrait modes just keep getting better and better. It's so crazy what we can do WITH OUR PHONES!
When photographing humans I think the overall pixel can do it better because you can edit the photo best very easily and quickly , control shadows, brithness and everything you want
Both the phones use computational photography to process the image. So isn’t this a comparison of who really has better AI for image processing? In theory you can take a picture with any phone from the last year or two and use a good AI to “clean up” the image! Great video as usual. Thank you.
I went from the Pixel 7 Pro to the Pixel 8 Pro and the quality of the photos have definitely improved, It's clearly noticeably. I'm looking forward to the December video updates along with the enhanced zoom.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro have excellent camera systems, with some key differences. The Pixel 8 Pro has higher-resolution sensors for all three cameras, while the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have a larger aperture on the telephoto lens. In a nutshell, Tasia, I am rooting for the Pixel 8.
That's been my findings in this test too! The resolution of Pixel 8 Pro is honestly remarkable for a PHONE. 🤯 But we really can't knock either camera system - it's really like nitpicking at this point.
Pixel all the way. The wider ultrawide is pretty impressive and the telephoto lens is way superior. I also prefer the colours produced by Pixel overall.
Hey friends! It's a head-to-head battle between the iPhone 15 Pro camera and Pixel 8 Pro camera! What photos do you prefer and why? Comment below!
Truly said by u
Pixel 8 portrait mode is not good, there are many errors and unfortunately the skin tone sometimes remains pale.
Pixel allways
Pixel is the best i really like it's

I never had a smartphone such as the P8P where the macro is totaly amazing!!!
Isn't it crazy what we can do with our PHONE now??? My goodness, it's never lost on me how impressive these camera systems are.
Yes totaly!
Pixel is the best
I love it so much!
@@TasiaCustode 😍😍
Lmao Nope
for gaming nah.
If you're a human want take fabulous portraits get the iphone
If you're dog cats snakes lizards etc wanna take fabulous portraits get the pixel

Well done! Very detailed review ever. 👍
Tasia, I really love your energy in every video. Makes the review video isnt boring as other reviewers. Loved from Indonesia (and a P8PRO owner✌😬)

Thanks for the sub! I appreciate you!
Wow! You did a very nice job with these cameras. Definitely, you need more likes and subscribers
Thank you so much 🙂
Really enjoying your Pixel videos! thanks
Glad you like them!
Both have decent cameras, but I think the Pixel is the better all round together with the added extras from the AI.
It's really, really hard to compete with Pixel computational photography/magic AI editing features!

Hi there, your videos are great. Watching since yesterday to make a mind about which phone should i choose, 15 pro max or an pixel 8 pro?

@@TimBrownTownnot including a good lidar sensor in the P8Pro is a legitimate actual crime! 😭

Totally agree. It oversharpens the heck out of people and makes every line and pore visible. Pixel portraits can make you look 10 years older 😅

Thanks Tasia. It depended on the picture. I noticed that the Pixel 8 Pro brought out the colour of your pet's eyes better.
It was a really tight race! We're really nitpicking here haha
Pixel for sure thanks to nice review
Thanks for watching, and I agree the Pixel is exceptional!
Iphone does better on portrait it has a lidar sensor and the pixel doesn't but no excuse because my s23 does a good job without it
You didnt do a regular video comparison
I want to take 15 pro, how is it, is it ok to take it or not?
To be fair on zoom, 15 Pro never stood a chance unlike the 15 Pro Max, but even with the 15 PM I find all of my high zoom photos at hockey games to carry a grayish hue…. Pixel doing some magic for sure
All right, that's enough for these iPhone versus pixel camera test. Everyone knows pixel is the winner. Let's move on now. #Team pixel 💪
hahaha we've declared a clear winner then it's official 😅
Pixel has one difference with portraits. If I make a regular photo, and add a portrait effect in a Google photo, this portrait photo will be much better than the portrait photo from the camera app.
In your opinion, is Pixel 8 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max better in terms of camera?☺️📸
If you are comparing zoom you should go with the iphone 15 pro max and not the pro because it has dedicated telephoto lens of 5x
I think Pixel has definitely improved with updates, the front camera was kind of garbage at launch
It really just keeps getting better and better!
Why not compare with Pro Max at that has the zoom? The Better comparison here would be Pixel 8 (non pro) vs iPhone 15 Pro.
Pixel Always ❤
It's really so great.
Pixel is by far the best, coming from a person who has been doing photography since 1961
Maybe if you had a fur you would render better in portrait mode
