UPDATE TO THE 1974 reference:
The first strip appearance of Snoopy as a scout is in the strip from May 13, 1974. Snoopy reveals that he is a "tenderpaw" when Lucy asks what kind of Scout he is. The word "Beagle scout" (a pun on Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America), first appears in the strip from May 14, 1974. Before this appearance Boy Scout troop 109 from Erie PA wrote to Mr. Schultz and received written permission to use Snoopy as their troop mascot.
On Snoopy's first hike he gets lost in the woods and is rescued by Loretta, a scruffy looking Girl Scout selling cookies. When Snoopy comes back home Lucy calls him a disgrace to the Beagle Scouts and when Charlie Brown asks him about his compass skills Snoopy admits he thought N meant "nowhere".
Snoopy's bird friends first join him as Beagle Scouts in the strip from June 9, 1974.
1974 was the year Snoopy became a Beagle Scout in the comics!

It looks like all theme parks are getting rid of live entertainment, not just Knott’s. It really does suck for when I take my mom during Christmas because that’s all she is able to do being 70+ years old. You need live entertainment for elderly, disabled, or just people like me who don’t feel like getting on rides. With very little entertainment, ride lines will be much longer.
I know Disney has cut a few shows, but both Sea World and Legoland added several new shows and parades this summer season. Knott's was known for its entertainment that drew families and guests of all ages. Sad to see the shows slowly disappear.

I miss seeing Gary's show during the day. The school groups used to always watch as well, but happy he is still there at least for the few shows a week.

The train was supposed to be extended based on the video showing it going by the car ride also but that didn't happen either.
I was wondering that too. The original video showed the train passing the off road rally. It doesn't even come close.
Updates=I went to Knott's yesterday, Thursday. They stopped everyone at the Wagon Wheel area until after the National Anthem. The Galloping Goose is going to be running 4 days a week while they work on the tracks.

We are so disappointed Knotts is getting rid of their little theatre and the great shows. We use to take our kids and now our grandkids. Sad news.

Oh my gosh I can’t believe ghost rider had a 3 hour wait when they barely opened at 10am!!!! What day and date was this???? I have a season pass but I’ve been avoiding going to Knott’s berry farm because the lines have been getting longer from April-May because of spring break and graduation ceremonies and parties. When I went on a weekday silver bullet and Jaguar always had a 60-90 min wait!!! And that was on a Tuesday!!!!
That’s because they don’t care that’s why we canceled our passes!
Ghostrider has been running one train as the other is under repair. I was kind of shocked by the quoted wait time as well as the line barely extended out of the queue building. It may have been a way to get guests to go to other attractions and spread out the crowds.
I’ve never heard of the summer nights tasting cards before. When are they going to release the summer tasting card ???? I know you mentioned it in the video but why are they getting rid of some of the famous camp snoopy attractions and rides???? That makes me so sad 😞 I also don’t understand why they’re getting rid of the summer shows and live concerts!!! Those performances were perfect 😍 for families, children and young adults.
The Summer tasting card starts 6/14. Not sure why the show are being cut either. But, definitely looking forward to Ghost Town Alive, Miss Cameo Kate's show and the Summer Nights bands.
For the refillable bucket, do you have to pay for every time you get popcorn?
Yes. I believe the refill cost was around $2, but details have not been released on the new one.
So excited for Ghost Town Alive! Do you know if they are going to have a DJ for Summer Nights?
There has been no mention of a DJ or the characters. We shall see!

@theFUNnelCakeBlog silly me, I would think a gift shop or some food would be a better option than a bank, but what do I know.
So glad we canceled our annual passes and annual fast lanes at Knotts ghetto farm! It’s really gone downhill. All they do is more or less put WD-40 on all of their horrible rides. Don’t miss this place at all!
Knott's is still my home away from home. Definitely looking forward to Ghost Town Alive. There's nothing else like it in the industry and the talented performers always do a great job interacting with guests.
