FINALLY found this masterpiece of a drum demo.
It's been too many years to track this down again.
Drumming is still fresh as a decade ago!

are you a drummer ? you got some skills man. Would you recommend this for me, i'm trying to build my own homestudio. I'm a guitar player, but i find it hard to record drums on the piano, this looks a little more easy to deal with.

I'm thinking of getting an SPD-S, what kind of kick-trigger you got there? You're using a regular Axxis pedal with it right?
    Useful vid btw, thx.

I can see you have a kickpad connected, is it possible to connect more triggers?
I have a trigmic (snare) and an auxilary pad running through an old Ddrum AT brain at the moment. Sounds fantastic but it is REALLY heavy to carry around so I was thinking of getting this one. Good idea?

Wow!! You've inspired me to learn how to do more with mine. Great work there! Q: please, what is/are the model(s) of the foot pedals you using with the SPd-s?

Hey man, Just recently I borrowed a pair of some 80s tama electronic drum pads, and used it at one of my gigs. First time playing electric and acoustic and it's really great fun. I've been looking at buying a 'current' pad mainly for the portability and ease of adjustment into my setup. I've seen the spd sx but for what I want (hand clap, percussion and general effects) I am thinking of this. would you say this is too complex for what I need? Thanks man!

Hey man, does the bass pedal plug directly into the spds? Also can you hook a roland hi-hat pedal up at the same time? Cheers...

  • @sachinbeatmaker

    Good video brother.
Let me ask you a doubt. Can we use a hihat pedal, say Roland fd-8 with the SPD S? I believe it is not possible in the updated version SPD SX. Any chance with the SPD S? Thanks in advance.

I was unsure of the compatibility too, so I bought the cheapest possible hi-hat controller pedal that I found ("Millenium" brand name, it has a switch w/reversable polarity). To my happy surprise, it worked with the SPD-S without any issues! However, adjusting the SPD-S's mask times and mute groups to suite your needs is an entirely different topic. There's a lot of instructions and examples at various forums. Getting the "typical" hi-hat pedal feel to work isn't all that easy - it requires quite an amount of fine-tuning especially if you're using your SPD-S to send out MIDI data to an external synth/sampler/drum machine. But on a rudimentary level - it works, and once you get all functions mapped to suit your needs, it's actually quite useful.

I've got alot to learn on this damn Spd-s. I have it set up with my acoustic set and would like to use it for a few effects in our songs and just for soloing. I might be sending you questions over the next few weeks. Thanks man, Cool Vids btw.
