The Saturday Picture Show was TV children series broadcast on BBC 1 from 21.04.1984 till 20.09.1986. The series was somewhat similar in format to its predecessor, Get Set, and was presented by just Mark Curry for the first part run during 1983 (as the Get Set Picture Show). Mark was joined for the next two years by Maggie Philbin, then in the final series of the show he was joined by Cheryl Baker (of Bucks Fizz) and the show gained an studio audience. There were 3 series and 66 episodes, all produced by BBC's North West studios in Manchester. The show had a vehicle (The Mobile Picture Unit) which was in pre-recorded segments when the crew 'went out' to some place or other.
Comments: very rare TV appearance - it is officially marked as: "missing" (early television programs which cannot be accounted for in studio archives usually because of deliberate destruction or neglect). Almost all episodes of this show were wiped, including this one.
