There is much easier ways, I’ve literally only did the opening mission and loaded right back in and have 60,000 dna after goofing around. You can still use the brain scan while in the space ship only took me 30ish minute.

They get unlocked playing the levels and getting all the accomplishments. There’s a level that deals with cows, I guess referencing all the UFO and cow memes out there. I unlocked it there.

I never found a way to put in cheat codes. Just a way to exploit some of the gameplay to max out your character and spaceship, especially on the map in the video.
Unfortunately I do not have the game installed any longer but the video I made shows you an exploit, it's not really a "cheat" in that you don't put codes in or take advantage of fake duplicating items or anything that would defy the logic of the game. You should be able to do the exploit in the video, camp out on that balcony, and get as much DNA for your alien and ship as you like.
