@Orthopox 13 on the series S I haven’t been seeing anything too crazy. Nothing like how Cyberpunk was when it dropped. I just don’t pay much mind to it bc my brain is rushing with serotonin bc of the nostalgia that this remake gives me😂 enjoyed every second of it
@Orthopox 13 I don’t think they’re broken at all I played both and never had and major problems. DAH2 has only crashed on me once. I kinda believe the last gen consoles are becoming a bit more dating and can’t keep up with the modern day graphic enhancements.

Take notes devs...this is how you handle a remake. I love how vibrant the DAH remakes are too.
Eh I'm still seeing some reluctance from the devs to be faithful to the original, like turning shama Llama white, as if that somehow makes it better

They remade the entire game instead of just slapping some "hi res" textures and new shaders over it. Compared to all the cheap cashgrab remakes this is something else. Redid every model, texture, environment, weapon and mechanic from scratch, keeping the old voicelines and gameplay.
Like Resident Evil 2, this is how remakes should be. Actually REMAKE the original game.

I love when small Devs like Black Forest Game put a lot of time of remaking a 15 year old game but keeping the original style perfectly

I cnat believe a tiny studio ACTUALLY recreated nearly 20 year old games instead of dumping it in an AI upscale program.
A remaster is not a remake, learn the difference. Still Rockstars remaster sucked pretty bad.

wish the design was alot more less cartoony like i know the game is exaggerated and isnt suppose to look realistic but the remake humans atleast look more cartoony than fortnite characters wish they looked a bit more human or like in the cinematic trailers

I remember buying the original when it came out and being so hooked, then the second game came out and it was even more fun. Now this has came out and looks extremely well done. My only issues however are: Everything looks much less intimidating than it did in the originals, the zap-o-matic looks and shoots like a toy gun and does not feel dangerous atall, it does not feel like actual electricity. My second issue is how the ufo Abduct-O-beam has been made completely and utterly terrible and does not have that ragdoll effect as it does in the original. When you swung stuff around in the originals it actually felt fun, whereas this just seems like you aren’t able to freely pick up and throw things. Other than those things the graphics just look SUPER well done

Isn’t it amazing how in the original intro crypto has a reflection on his eyes but the remake doesn’t have it
My only complaint about these remasters is how the death ray and the sonic boom handles. They were so much more fun to play in the original. In the first game the death ray could light people on fire from like 20 feet away and then vaporize anything closer than that, one shot of it destroys everything around it. Now you have to train the beam on a target and hold for a second. Small complaint, but it definitely effects the fun you could be having.
Yeah, and the Sonic Boom used to have some real OOMF to it. You hit something with it, and you KNOW you dealt some serious damage!
and they made the gongs not spawn ninjas anymore :(
Small? No way is it small. The original vaporized people and so did the meteor gun. The remake they both just ragdoll them. So annoying.

Don't forget how the Zap O Matic no longer sends ragdolls flying if you keep zapping someone once they've died. It was fun to try and keep them in the air as long as possible. Now they just kinda flop down without further reactions.
I already played the first remaster to death on ps5 and Switch, loving this new one so far - especially since it's an actual ps5 game this time, looks great 😊 never played the originals, but the sequel improves so much on the first one. Also digging the hippy vibe ^^
Still prefer some designs from the original. In the original only Crypto and Pox were cartoony, now everything is cartoony. I remember the mutants giving me the creeps as a kid and now they look just silly. Really sad that everything went cartoony but i still love the remake.
the only downgrade I noticed was the pistol silencer texture in the remake.
but to be fair, the cutscene is rendered in real time in the remake, unlike the original which is a pre-rendered CGI cutscene.
What is it mean to be rendered in real time
@@Jactional basically, it's like the PS5 is what's responsible for what's being seen in gameplay and cutscenes, so the intro cutscene seen is being created by the PS5 as we're running it.
pre-rendered is when it is rendered before the scene is played as a video, which is what the original Destroy all Humans 2 used for the intro.
@@Jactional Basically, pre-rendered mean it's a video that's been filmed by the dev and is being played by your PC/Console. Real time rendered mean the cinematic is actually being played live by the game's "actor".
Eh when I played it the textures would constantly be loading in every time the camera changed which is very distracting and bad looking

I always love the remakes with these games but I do also still think that when they sell the remade game they should make it so you can also choose to have a save or otherwise they include the original game as well so you can play both versions considering how these games are different enough where it would be nice to be able to play the original sometime.
I really dislike how they changed the mechanics of alot of the weapons. It's actually super depressing because most of the fun of the second game was the wacky things you could do with the guns. My favorite was the like purple disc gun you could use to make stuff fly away. Now you just use telekinesis which is cool. But tbh it just rubs me the wrong way. All I wanted to do was make people fly away with disks again. Like now I just wanna buy a PlayStation to experience the original masterpiece. Hopefully they like idk. Get enough people upset that they drop a DLC which includes the original mechanics. Like modifyers. You can modify how the guns shoot to shoot like they originally did. Because everything is beautiful but it feels we were robbed of core memories. I feel like they could've done something to satisfy everyone equally.

Some things I can, like the voice I feel it
It may seem absurd, but I miss the camera movement when making an explosion, now the explosions look much better, but I notice them as if they were slight, I also miss that when you raised the search level, you heard how the police asked for reinforcements every time more desperate.
Not really a big fan of how they changed some things in the remake. They made the KGB look like over-the-top supervillains, especially in the opening scene. Also, Crypto pulling out his Zap-O-Matic feels a lot less awesome and threatening than in the original.

My only gripe is that Coyote Bongwater has less expressive animations, but that's rather superficial

Nostalgia is a hell of a filter.
visually its way better, but the weapons were just so much more fun in the original. theyve dumbed down pretty much all the ways to attack.
Every weapon is nerfed really bad and doesn’t feel as powerful
I think this is the first time I've ever preferred the way the remake/remaster of a game looks compared to the original. The color palette of the original being in the brown and grey era of games. I think the more saturated and vibrant colors fit the tone of the game much better

This remake is overrated. The original is hands down a better game than the remake. In the remake, the physics, weapons & saucer functions, controls and character models are worse for sure comparedto the original. Aside from some graphical advances, the remake is 100% a down grade from the original, in my opinion.
the animation for body snatching in the original is way better than in the remake imo, dumb thing to prefer i know but honestly the original wins on the nostalgia factor alone for me
@newmoneymadeit since making the comment above I have attempted to play the original. I realized how dated and not fluent the controls are & I have almost completed the remake. imo the remake is far better the only thing I like more about the original was the character models not looking as cartoony. besides that the remake is far superior in almost every way. I take back my earlier comment, I was probably influenced by the nostalgia of this game for me bc I played the og destroy all humans 2 alot as a kid

i got it yesterday and in the intro i was confused cause i was expecting the nuke to come from earth and not a satellite but i like it, the game is awesome but the saucer is a crackhead now, i enter all it shoots straight up hitting anything near me

This game remake is much better from the old one but the old one is much more nostalgic.
I think the remakes graphics and how dynamic it looks is significantly improved, definitely a lot of effort put into this game and the first remake. But I dont understand some of the creative changes that this studio made with the first game and now this one as well
Like why do they change how Orthopox reacts to being blown up? Or why the KGB agent looks radically different than his original design? Or why instead of the cool way Krypto turns around to face him, the KGB just shows up behind 2 chicks running away? The Freak looks objectively worse with his needless redesign. I don't think any of these changes "ruin" the remake, but they're lateral changes at best and less impressive at worse
The first remake had tons of these changes too, and these small complaints add up because theres a lot of changes for changes sake. Some levels are during the day instead of at night, changing cutscene cinematography beyond just graphics, etc. Idk, like I said it doesn't ruin the games, but it just feels so unnecessary to even consider changing things like this throughout the course of a remake where it hurts the charm of it all after awhile. Hope new players enjoy it though for what it is, still a great game imo

I'm sorry but I kinda hate how cartoony the characters look in the remake, that and Crypto seems to move around more and be more expressive in the original too. Those and other small complaints aside I am absolutely thrilled to be playing one of my favorite childhood games again as an adult on my own PC and with updated graphics and such.
