So, if you’re unsure while remembering the previous GT titles, this is the 4th-gen Civic, and it’s claimed to be 100% new. Not a returning car, because the EF Civic never made an appearance in any previous GT title, but its Kammback twin, the 2nd-gen CR-X SiR, made an appearance instead. I bet it’s because you might refer to the 3rd-gen Civic AH, which is last seen in GT4-GT6. Also, this Civic has a 1.6 ZC SOHC. Not a VTEC engine though, so by telling about its model year, the VTEC is first introduced in the 1989 Integra XSi with its B17A1. Still waiting for some Hondas to return, like the Civic Type R EP3 and FD2, Integra Type R DC5, that mild-hybrid CR-Z, and even crazier which is the Honda Insight LS (aka the true rival of Toyota Prius).
He might have just floored it at that point of the video. If you notice at other times at WOT before those RPMS, the sound just gets louder from higher revs and not like a VTEC engagement point. I'll have to check later to confirm on my TV as I play it, and not a RUclips video. But the engine note is spot on. The D16ZC DOHC motor kind of sounds like VTEC, just without the engagement, even though it is non VTEC.
Owned 2 ZC and used to drive it like that. Half throttle till 5krpm then full and the engine note got deeper. Used to just prettend vtec was crossing over haha.
@@joescivic no it has definitely got that effect. Just floor it from a standing start and there will still be a vtec-like sound change at a certain rpm.
JACCS, Motul, Mugen, Spoon Sports, what else lol ? Kanjokozu ? right .... Btw, This is the first time the EF Civic was in the game hehe.... Don't count this as "Duplicate" lol, cause this ain't Miatas / MX5s lol ...
Don't think that is the case. It might be just the higher RPM sound being louder and not an actual VTEC engagement. I'll have to play later to see for myself though. I nevwr base anything off of a video since it always sounds louder and better from playing it. At least from my experience.

As a red EF Civic owner, this video made me smile. After 25+ years, the EF finally gets its place in Gran Turismo.
Dawg GT already had one. The 85 one they’re the same car apart from being 2 years apart lmao.
@yeezyszn7208 that was civic ah lol this is new
Excellent model and great customization.
I think this update is a slam dunk.
Thank you, I know which car I'll be trying out next... especially since I haven't driven one of these in close to 40 years!

@_justtoomanygames_8857 lol. That's what it looks like at that point he mentioned. He was driving casually then at that moment he started going WOT.

Ibishu Covet from Beamng Drive
The notorious Covet lol
BeamNG players would go insane when they see this fr. 😂
My mom has an EF Civic Hatchback, and it's still here to this day.

My friend has one of these in real life and it's so fun to be in.
some guy flew past me the other day in a grey EF. So it's kinda funny to see this drop in gt7 shortly after. 😂
Not even the sir ver? That version is probably the peak of late 80s hot hatch cool.
Maybe they might add the sir version later on and as a facelift
Waiting for Honda City Turbo II
How do you record video of the start where you do modifications?
Mint!
I hope next update to see a 986 boxster
Is the standard hood the same as type c?
That circuit looks decidedly low-res next to the car model.
From 7:31 to 7:36 it looks freaking real!!!
0:55 sounds like my door hinge
Why not EF9?
Que bien 😍
Which graphics card are you using? It looks awesome!
PS5 Pro
If only the sound were on level with the rest of the car.
What do you mean? The engine note on this car is spot on. So which sound?
V-tec Sound by a not V-tec Car?🤔

@@joescivici Drive the Car in GT7, by 6000 rpm is the V-tec Sound listen, somehow funny.
@matimbalionkings637 I'll have to check, which will be soon. Not saying you're lying. I'll just check myself soon.
@@joescivic You can try 3:30 in the video
@@RS-nq8xk I already did. To me, it wasn't clear if he hit the throttle all the way at that point or not. Either way. I no longer care. Lol.
You can recreate the car from beamg drive
Just another Civic
Not just another Civic. The EF generation never appeared in any GT game until 7.
