I am not a gas engineer or installer, this work was not carried out in the UK. Please be aware of the dangers of doing this kind of work yourself!
Take note of how easy it is to be self reliant sometimes!
This is the same for any type of gas cylinder or bottle connection. LPG Liquid Petroleum gas, Butane or Propane.

Working on gas installations requires certificates of competence in some countries, depending on where you are the rules may be different. Suffice it to say, this video may not have been filmed in the country where you think it was! If you wish to rant about the various safety implications about doing gas work then please feel free, I love deleting comments without reading them!

Fantastic! Exactly what I needed. The manual was fuzzy on this point, but now it works like a charm! 🙏🏻

Thankyou. I'm off to check my annoying hob....
Update: thanks again. We had an IKEA hob put in, by IKEA, a year ago. They adjusted it for bottled gas, and said that's as good as it gets !!!! I haven't been able to 'simmer' for a year - I believed them !!! Thanks to you I found the little adjuster screw and put it right. I love cooking. 🎉❤

Great video. I installed a Bosch hob in my kitchen over five years ago and have never been able to get it to simmer properly and have burned several dinners. I adjusted my hob this afternoon and it's made a considerable difference! I look forward to using it on a lower setting in future.

That was what prompted me to check, I had to use multiple heat dissipaters to get a simmer, which must be a waste of gas! Glad it helped, I have another one to do now!
Remember to check if the gas pressure can sustain all 4 burners on the low setting and the high setting.

Great! this worked on my gas hob which is an entirely different brand and design - seems to be a common feature.

    Great tip!
My hob has a wok burner who's flame doesnt seem to be as it was when new. Jet is clean so perhaps your adjustment tip and be used to increase maximum throughput.
On the otherhand, my smallest burner could do with going a bit lower for the mokka pot or individual egg poacher. So this tip should definately work for that!

It is one of those things, I didn't even know it was possible, but it is well worth doing if you are on LPG! worth a try Ian.

Owen, I'm wondering several things, who knows where the manual is, was it thrown out with the box, do modern appliances have this feature, cheers

Please waffle, you have the loveliest accent in the world! I have a question: Does it need to do the click even if you don't have the electrics plugged in and light the hob manually?
