Photoframe as monitor on QNAP

I recently came across this page www.puschmann.n... which explains how you could use your old photo frame in linux. Photoframes like Samsung SPF-87H.
I wanted to use the photoframe on a QNAP nas, but unfortunately you have to compile the spfb kernel module described above yourself.
I only had luck with the instructions found on the German QNAP forum (forum.qnapclub....)
You have to cross compile the kernel and then build the framebuffer driver module and copy it to nas
Other than that, everything else is straight forward.
I used the images produced by mrtg (oss.oetiker.ch/...) which i have running on nas, so i can monitor internet traffic on screen and i also download and display images from on live web cameras for start and as POC.

is it possible to make it a tv wia rgb connection or using a vga connection to make it a monitor?
