I really like that she is different from all the other dolls you've already made since she is the only one alive of them. I hope you will make the other living character's with printed faces, not that I don't like your sculpting, I do. It would just distinguish between the living and the dead so well. Love your work so much ❤️
Ahhh she looks gorgeous! You did a wonderful job with her and the dress. The billion hours of sewing paid off! Thanks so much for the shout out, my friend!
Hooray! I love how Lydia turned out! Different head caps are a massive bonus for sure! The magnets were a stroke of genius. The "eyelashes" were also a brilliant idea and I'll consider using that idea at some point. Lydia and Wednesday look so darn cute together LOL Can't wait to see what's next!
So glad you’re feeling better! The bride and groom is what my wife and I dressed up as for trick or treaters this year. Awesome to see what you’ve done with the doll!
Lydia looks awesome!! Beetlejuice 2 is due to come out in December 2024 and many of the original cast members are coming back including Wynona and Michael! I can't wait to see the trailers!! I look forward to see what else you're making this month!!
I am so excited about that too! I just saw this morning that they wrapped up filming and Tim Burton was sitting in what looks to be a perfect replica of the Waiting Room!!! Yay!
Ara, Lydia turned out sooooo well! I loved her finished look with the tiny details you made to her eyes and bangs. I didn't think you could get any better at dollmaking, but you certainly have. 🤩
Thank you! I got some suggestions from the doll body maker and decided to give this a try. Real lashes can be used too but I didn't have any of those on hand.
@@BentleyHouseMinis I'm so glad you did. It made a big difference! Does the doll maker make repairs on older dolls? I have a porcelain doll from my mother, and her arms have come out of her poor sockets.
So sorry to hear you have been struggling with your health❤ But I am very happy to see your name and have you back😊 Get lots of rest and stay well my friend!

Apparently I got lucky and they aren't easy to find everywhere. I am excited to make a 'play' bucket to keep in my studio so that they are easily accessible for anyone who comes over and wants to play around in the houses ;) Thank you Vicki!
Yay!! Lydia look so cute! I LOVE her dress! Makes me happy that we started to make the Deetzs! I think the next Deetz member you should do next is Delia Deetz! She has to see how her house is doing.😊
So true! She will definitely have opinions on what I am doing around the house as I work lol! I am excited about making Delia's iconic Day-O hair! Thank you😊
She looks so so so good! I recently found your Addams Family series about a month ago and have been watching through your channel since. It has been so wonderful to see the Beetlejuice house come to life. I keep your videos up on my second monitor during the workday to keep my creative juice flowing and break up the quiet monotony of WFH, so thank you for sharing your work with us and happy holidays!!!
I am so glad you have been enjoying the series videos! I hope to do more and more on the Beetlejuice house as I go forward next year😊 I hope you have a great work day and happy holidays to you and yours as well!
You did a wonderful job Lydia! The dress is perfect for her size. Did you know that there is elastic thread? It may be helpful allowing the clothes to be removable. I wish I had thought of this earlier. You will have to go to a fabric store or a yarn shop, to find it though. It's not used much for life size clothes but knitters will use for things like mittens. When knitted with the regular yarn, it give the more stretchable. Like in the wrist area.
That's such a good idea! I may need to get some and see if it makes it easier for these dolls to move and pose. It's easier when they are wearing a dress but pants can really make things difficult!
Thank you! It did come out better than I thought and I am super happy with it. I just tend to get all nervous before I start something I have never done before like this. Thankfully it worked out!
Thank you! Having more than one would definitely make them easier to swap out lol! But I do hope I can make her clothes changable and focus on some other mysfits I plan to change into new characters ;)
Fantastic! All that sewing of the lace, around and around. Before you fixed the eyelashes, she looked truly outraged at being forced to marry Beetlejuice. And finding the Doc Martin boots on the Dollar Tree doll was just right!
Outraged as she should be lol! But yes, I am so glad I was able to fix her eyes so she looks a bit more relaxed in other areas of the house😄 Thank you!
First - she's gorgeous!! The addition of the "eyelashes" made all the difference in her face. As always, amazing work! For the lace sleeves, have you thought about making them separate from the dress? It looks like you have enough fabric at the armholes that If you made them like extra-long fingerless gloves with a slit at the wrist for ease, then ties (like embroidery floss) at the top end to tie the 2 together between her shoulders and hold them in place, they'd look like set-in sleeves. Just a thought. Even w/o the sleeves, she's perfect!!
That's a really interesting idea! They would definitely be easier to add if there were separate. Perhaps they could loop around a button on the dress to stay up? Hmm I will think about it!
The cartoon outfit of Lydia's is my actual favorite of her outfits, followed by the all black with the hat. I'm so excited to see you do the red dress, though! Stoked for Deetzember!
Goodness! It has been ages since I've heard "polarity" of magnets! It brings so much good memories and, what makes it even more special now is that I heard it from you, Ara, during a process of creating yet another great work of art. I guess Arts and Sciences are more linked than we think! 😁
I totally agree! Understanding materials and how they interact is such an important part of miniatures because it is so much mixed media! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
