i am 72 yrs old and have been a avid Floyd fan since they came into existance.. never has been and never will be anyone better.............................
Married in 1993, my new bride and I travelled to attend this concert. Sadly she has passed 6 months ago, but the memories of seeing the best band ever will live on the remainder of my days!
Sorry for your loss, Pink Floyd live im sure is an incredible experience, I’m glad you got to share with her !
@@POPE. Thank you sir.
Unfortunely i lost my girlfriend too! She was Pink Floyd fan like i am! I share your pain😶
When you went to see Pink Floyd, it wasn't just a concert it was an experience.
It was mind bending !!!
it sure was i was thare 26 10 1994
Lighting/effects guy: "So what's the budget?"
Floyd: "Yes!"
-Floyd: Don´t worry we have an portable nuclear power plant backstage ;) Just clear the airtraffic for 2 miles and
we´ll be fine.
That is almost literally true. David has said in interviews that in 1994 basically they thought... well if were going to do it again, we'd better do it right...
the truth was, PF asked 1000000 $ for a concert, the electricity was paid for by the city
@@damirhlobik6488 Really? Where did you find that story?
@@secondchance6603 When "Pulse" tour started, I read in the newspaper, but after almost 28 years realy don't remember which, sorry
Delighted you’re enjoying & appreciating their music
It's not an English degree. And, your English skills suck.

Better than yours. Sentences never begin with a conjunction.

@@plunger110 You're not banal. Nope. Not at all.
I am lucky enough to have seen this tour at the Syracuse Carrier Dome on Day Day 1994. I was in the second row of the second section back from the stage. I am glad you are watching the live performance - although the sound of the original recording is great, getting the full Pink Floyd Experience (Sounds, Lights & Props) is really mind bending. At the end of this song - a smaller version of a WWII bomber flew across the arena and "crashed" into the back of the stage.... Anyone on hallucinogens that day had their mind erased. Some day - just play the whole concert from beginning to end on the biggest television hooked up to the best sound system, sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
Oh - and there are lyrics just 12 words: One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces.
I love that people sit at a Floyd concert!
well this was filmed in England at Earls Court, as you probably know, so that didnt surprise me all that much. Much more 'proper' people and etiquette. But they also know how to take-in the experience. I saw them twice in 94 once at Yankee and once at Giants' Stadiums in NYC. Believe me, no one was sitting. lol. i was 10th row front and center for the first one and 15th row a little off center for the second. You could feel the flames as if they were 5 feet from you. Priceless!! Also, side note, that was the year I turned 21...these were my first concerts ever. So grateful.
Its called listening to heaven
7:03 -- David Gilmour, looking directly into your soul, smiling and thinking _"Hehe! ... EAT THIS!!"_
8:32 -- In fact, Sid Barrett created the name _Pink Floyd_ on the spur of the moment when he discovered that another band, also called the Tea Set, was to perform at one of their gigs. The name is derived from the given names of two blues musicians whose Piedmont blues records Barrett had in his collection, '"Pink Anderson" and "Floyd Council" ... So, now you know!
Incredible performance. I saw them live multiple times in 1988, 1990 and 1994. It just never gets old.
Same here, having seen this tour, Dark Side and Animals. The videos are great but can't compare to seeing them perform live. Cheers.....
Me too I saw division bell in 1990 and pulse in 1994! I was 13 n 17 my mom n dad were the shit! 😁
Was at this concert. They were Amazing!!!!!
My too
What a show!! Astounding! The audience is just sitting there being blown away. Great reaction!
I went twice to Earl’s Court to see this.
Audience we’re in shock tbh!
Took me weeks to get over it. Best gig ever

That's what a great concert does. It lingers with one long after the show is over. I've been to many concerts and I can tell just from the video that this was a triple A class production gig. The last thing on anybody mind is.....did I get my money's worth?
"It has passed like a hundred other moments, but we know it is eternal, because it is kept by hearts and not words."
My first music love is Pink Floyd. Later I dived into extreme metal but PF was always my alma mater.
When I saw this gig, I was a full blown metal head, with really long hair in a sea of mostly older people.
When this song came on, I started headbanging with the fury of a thousand suns, and when the music ended, there was an empty space around me and 500 people looking at me in shock :D
Those were the days :)
You really should react to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," "Time," and "Money" from this PULSE concert. They are some of their all time classics
Pink Floyd is amazing! And you are now a Pink Floyd Fan, because is to hard not to be...... unfortunately it's a shame there aren't more bands like these nowadays!!
Pink Floyd introduced “One of These Days” to the world with the release of their album “Meddle” in 1971. It was great to see them still performing the song 23 years later at the 1994 Pulse Concert. Pink Floyd is a true gem of the music world.
I've listened to Pink Floyd over 40 years only Pink Floyd will bring you to an outer body experience Dave on the Stratocaster a lot of people don't know fender guitar company made a special award only a one time award to David gilmour the greatest Stratocaster guitarist ever. That's the title and it never will change
in short that is what artistery and showmanship is
Guy Pratt on bass is a fantastic bass player, and "joined" PF in 1986 after co-founder Roger Waters quit. He has also played with among others Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bryan Ferry, The Smiths, Robert Palmer, Iggy Pop, Gary Moore and Tom Jones.
There's one line of lyric: "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces". Brilliant.
DUDE!!!!!! Imagine, you're in a STADIUM and the sounds were coming from EVERYWHERE, all around you. I am now 58 years old and I STLL remember that show VIVIDLY.
THANK YOU 😁 for keeping Music, Instruments, Bass, Drums, Guitar, song righting, ROCK & ROLL!!!! KEEP up the great show 👍🤘
( some classical ain't bad either)
Comfortably Numb is always the one everyone is impressed by and I agree it is AMAZING ... but One of These Days always knocks my socks off .. with the only lyrics (said only ONCE) ... "one of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces" !!
Loved Dave's little smile at 7.03.To me its saying"sounds good don't it" You not wrong there fella.🔥👍🔥👍🔥👍🔥👍.
It's great to see the next generation seeing this for the first time and loving it just as much as we do. Keep up the great work man, big fan here.
i saw them in 1994 in Toronto. Easily the best show I have ever seen. 232 thousand watts of sound, several hundred thousand watts of lights. They had set up surround speakers around the stadium, and at one point in "another brick in the wall pt1" the helicopters sounded like they were actually flying overhead. Incredible band.
Pink Floyd s an amazing "tornado" to be in, especially the Pulse concert from 1994. They give you an awesome show both visually and for your ears
I was lucky enough to see them twice in '94, at NC State and at RFK in DC. AMAZING visual and sound experience.
I was at this gig mate...... no words can describe how it was, it was Pink Floyd; end of..... glad your loving the Floyd ❤
Bass player was slaying it.
Saw them at the Rose Bowl, this was the encore song. Without a doubt the best concert I've ever seen it's not even close.
I saw them live in 1988 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse NY during their 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' tour (the one just before the more heralded 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' tour). Much weed was smoked that day - lol. It was by far the best concert I've ever experienced.
The bass player is the fabulous Guy Pratt.
I spent a lot of my years listening to Pink Floyd with a nice big smoke and all my worries drifting away for a few hours...My favourite jumper still had the blim burns to prove it 😳😉😁♥️🤘
You been "Floyded". Your life will never be the same!!
I was there in Rotterdam in 1994. For me still the best concert I have ever experienced.
Yeah dude.. once upon a time long long ago people made MUSIC with INSTRUMENTS because they were REAL musicians. You should start at the beginning with ECHOES live Pompeii 1971.. raw EPIC psychedelic FUNK
It didn't begin in 71
@@secondchance6603 That was another Floyd.. without Gilmour. Echoes is considered the beginning of the as we generally know Floyd today.. Echoes Dark Side of the Moon etc. etc. etc.
Gran trabajo amigo! Pink Floyd! Lo mejor! 🥰
I was there live in '94. Wish you could have been there too young friend!
You spoke across the only vocal in the music.
"One of these Days, I'm Going to Cut You into Little Pieces."
I heard that part lol but my fault, it’s hard to know when’s the best time to talk I’m still new to reacting.
@@POPE. no worries. lol hard to predict when it’s one sentence right in the middle
@@POPE. Roger Waters ( the bass player ) left Pink Floyd after 'The Wall'. But he's still out there touring.....& I believe he's doing another tour next year. Go to his RUclips channel & the schedule should be up. Here's a video from 2016? ruclips.net/video/QWLBtMz5OuY/видео.html He's performing 'Pigs' from the Animals album....in Mexico City.
@@195511SM
He left after The Final Cut.
It's a Pink Floyd Vortex, once you're in, you'll never escape! But that's good thing!
You had my like at "Pink Floyd Tornado" :)
All from the bass guitar of Guy Pratt, bass virtuoso, running through a double echo repeat effect
Only one lyric "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces"....and the rest is history. Glad you are getting into Pink Floyd brother!❤
Imagine.being there!
I WAS!!!
Same.. saw them in San Diego in 94.
Me too, Foxboro MA 1994, I'm 62 and saw many concerts in my life but none better than Pulse Concert!
There will never be another band like pink floyd
"Floydian" I love that term, I'm gonna steal it.
Been into the floyd since Umaguma,
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
I was at one of those Earls Court shows and the last half of this track was a real sensory overload, you could feel the heat and shock wave from those explosions half way down the arena, combined with the lighting and the sheer volume (this was back when concert sound systems actually sounded decent) made it way over the top. The show was designed for outdoor venues and even somewhere the size of Earls Court felt like it was too small for it really, it was shock and awe.
No one catches the Doctor Who shoutout in this version of the song. Starts at 3:22
Wait until you get to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon. It's audio LSD without the drugs. But... smoke em' if you got em' and sit back and enjoy the ride. MUST HAVE LYRICS.
Great Gig in the Sky, any version is good, but off of the Dark Side of the Moon was the first time I heard it
A quick cruise across the galaxy.
Listen to Run from pulse
I love the bass guitar in this
Thé best...!! Ces diables d anglais ...!!!!NC est les plus forts ...
There actually were lyrics. One of my favorite lines ever.
You can see this original song on "Pompeii" 1972. What they don't show on this video , at the end the pigs are thrown out of the towers. A slam to music critics that said Floyd's music will sell when pigs can fly. I recommend David Gilmour " live at Gdansk" " ECHOES"
welcome to floyd amazing
I was fortunate enough to be at this concert 1994 Earl's Court London
DAVID GILMOUR the time of the lead guitar 🎸 brilliant will take you to another
Place..my friend 👍
There was a single line: "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces".
What lovely heart felt comment s
Homes, this song was played live at every show they performed from 1968 through Pulse 1994
hi Man ! It"s so good to share this with You ! I"m 63y old' and it"s always so deep pleasures with this Music ! Pink Floyd - Yes - Genesis - King Crimson - Van Der Graaf / P. Hammill - Roxy Music - Blue Öyster Cult - David Bowie - Gong - The Stranglers ... Have a nice time !
Hey dude.. welcome to the professionals..be good!!
Pink Floyd - Shine on you crazy diamond (Pulse) next please!
And after that you might wanna start checking out their old but GOLD records - The Dark side of the moon, Wish you were here, Animals, The Wall... In that order!
You are in for a journey my man!
Floyd. Seen them twice......I have seen a LOT (more than my fair share) of concerts. Floyd is in another galaxy....
I was there in 1987, 1988 and twice in 1994. Those were the best concerts (especially 1994) of my life. :)
Anyone else hear the "Doctor Who" theme in the first few bars ? Clever!!
Welcome to the board :D
That's all from the guitar? No, that's so from the bass! Guy Pratt kills it!
" One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces " , the only lyrics on the track .
I was fortunate enough to have seen that performed live
one of my fave versions of one of these days
I like the fact that this commentary KNEW what lap steel was
Live, when the pig flew (mid point and across the stadium) it was like an out of body experience . The oscillation was insane.
David can ware a steel guitar up, one of the true music masters 😊
3.23, a short burst of the Dr Who theme tune.
I LOVE PROGRESSIVE ROCK. 😎💪
In case you have wondered what that pig was doing there: at one point, Nick Mason, the drummer, says: "One of the days I am going to cut you into pieces." Hence the title of the song
That’s why they have been making music for so long.
bass player is hammerin it,,like noone else
Pink Floyd name comes from two famous blues guitarists Pink Andersin Floyd Pattersin whio they adored ,your vids are great as is the band.
that fucking bass. maaaaaan
David Gilmour showing us once again why he is the best there ever was or ever will be..................... awesome....
Thanks to you tube young black Americans are being introduced to bands that would never be on their radar pink Floyd led Zep deep purple etc great music is colour blind as long as your human it will blow you away
love this guy!!!!
Yeah man, one of the reasons this is my favorite Pink Floyd song.
I like the Dr Who nod.
Best concert ever recorded,Best tour ever "Pulse Tour"
Dude...... The Floyd is their OWN genre.
Timeless
I would pay a $1000 to be at this concert.
Say hello to the first part of the concert :)
I was at this fabulous concert, sitting on the right-hand side and I happened to glance up just as that huge pig came flying out of its hole right above me, nearly gave me a heart-attack! Loved every second of the show.
best version of this song is on the delicate sound of thunder album,, its immaculate
"Tune up the guitar" Lol.
Bad bad boy nazareth 👌
Married in 1993, my new bride and I travelled to attend this concert. Sadly she has passed, but the memories of seeing the best band will live on.
Nice
try dogs of war from the pulse concert it is a side of pink floyd you have never heard.. Its very aggressive. its not dogs its called dogs of war... Great reactions by the way
This is track 1, side 1 of Meddle, so two albums before Dark side of the Moon. Now try the only track on side 2, Echoes either studio or Live in Gdańsk, simply amazing 🤩
Been there
I thought that I had heard everything・・・and then this!
