I'm not going to say the opinions of people that weren't great football players don't matter. But when the greats talk about Tom Brady I listen. And they are in awe.
Exactly. Very well said. If I know 100 people say one thing whose opinions I respect, but all of the great QBs say another, those opinions are all that end up mattering to me. I've found a good rule in life is to trust the experts. They won't always be right, but they'll be right FAR more often than the smartest people we know. And to clear anything up, ESPN analysts, by and large, are not the experts I'm talking about. If I want to know how to analyze an NFL QB then I really only want to hear from NFL QBs... and they ALL agree he's the GOAT.
That is a very truthful interview, thats proved what a great guy Brent is,lots of players have big Ego's, and would never admit what he did, very humble guy and very honorable.
I was never a Favre fan until that night he played in Oakland immediately after his Dad passed away. One of those magical NFL moments in my career as a fan that defies description.....Been a fan of his ever since that.
I never liked the Packers (still don't) but watching the show he put on that night (Monday night game) I had tremendous respect for him. I also miss the days of Madden and Michaels calling the games on ABC.
@@Toutvids Not to mention the show his receivers put on. I don't a ball hit the ground at all that night. A real testament to them honoring his fathers memory.
Brady's interview with Tony Romo. He really goes deep into how he has an obsession with making the perfect throw. And even when it looks perfect, he still feels like there is a detail or two that he wants to correct. Its incredible
Brady inspired Tampa coaches & owners to bring in 3 AFC players to join him. All 3 scored TDs in Superbowl. Brady is an inspiring General. He reads Defenses like nobody's business & inspires his soldiers to be the glorious bastards they were destined to be.
One thing that seperates Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr from other qb and players is he gives 100% devotion to his craft and work relentlessly and be a true General on the field.
One of Bradys most under appreciated Skills/Talent is SELF DISCIPLINE. Being Disciplined Enough to throw the ball away, then take a sack or try to force it and get an INT. Peyton lacked that Discipline and often threw INTs as a result. Rodgers is so concerned about his stats, he will take a sack rather then throw an incompletion.
Right. I've been saying the same for years. He's the most patient QB I've ever seen. He's only ever had a long game one time in his career, and that was with Randy Moss. The rest of the time he picks apart the best defenses with short, precise throws that he waits patiently in the pocket to let develop. That year he took apart Seattle's defense, he never threw a pass more than 30 yards. And then his comeback game against Atlanta, unbelievable how ridiculously sharp he was.
I have as well and you are ABSOLUTELY right! Been watching Tommy forever and it damn sure is incredible to see TB at 43 playing better than ever. You’ll never see this again folks.. Hate him or love him, (who could hate the man?) He is the Ultimate. Your favorite QB’s favorite QB, it’s no question. Reports are that they’re considering renaming one of those trophies after him. Brett absolutely nails it with his list of three between 3:50 and 5:20. I also absolutely agree with his comment between 4:40 and 4:45 about Brady's accuracy.
Not even debatable. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying out of jealousy or hate. If the Lombardi trophy is ever renamed... it will be the BRADY trophy.
Haha. Not really though. Brett and Rodgers have become very close over the past several years. Just a couple of months ago Brett did an interview where he was seriously praising Aaron. He was just talking about stature, and as great (and even better than Breeze) Rodgers is, he's just not as universally respected as Breeze. It's close, but Breeze is that other guy who has been going back and forth with Tom for years on all the main passing records.
@@BeauTylerMakesMusic Which is unfair, because Brees and Rodgers have both only won one super bowl, and Rodgers has 3 MVPs to zero for Brees. The knock on both of them is they only got it done in the playoffs once in thier careers.
@@TheFailedmessiah So was Peyton Manning. It's a shame he had the neck injury otherwise i think he could have played another 3-4 years. The downside for Peyton was that in big moments he got frazzled and that affected his play.

Exactly..because guess what alot of qbs got talent or a skill set..so how can they compare if they all got talent and skill sets..so when it comes to brady they not in his class because he has something that with all that talent and skill set these other qb's has he has the most important thing..command..he's the guy that if he was in the military or army going to war his soldiers will lay down they life for him..step in front of a bullet..he's the spartan..the hero..the leader..the belief...he's the best..the best there is..the best there ever was..the best there ever will be
The Brady factor = If I hold my block a few seconds longer Brady will find a way to win, If I run a little crisper route Brady will find a way to get me the ball, If we get this 3rd down stop Brady will find a way to score.
I’ll start off by saying I’m a Giant/Dolphin fan. When it comes to Brady, it’s not just how many times he has won the bowl, but the true triumph is how he did it in TAmpa. 43 years old, new team, new book, no OTA, no pre season, And the only home post season game was in the “Bowl” itself. An absolute marvel.
I can't wait to visit that wing. But given that he'll play till he is 50 and it takes another 5 years after retirement to be inducted into the HOF, I think I'll be in the grave when that happens,
HOF BETTER have a huge wing for TB! Think about all the money he's made for the NFL! People want to watch him because he's a winner like no other in football, and they have seen how he's always cool under pressure and fun to watch. Then there's a big crowd who hate him because he beats their team over and over so they always root against him whomever he plays. His good looks Super Bowl appearances have brought female fans as well
@@vipahman I think Tom will go two more. Especially if he wins another ring in two years. The Bucs can't keep all those studs that long. They will cycle out.
This year gave me a clear picture how important Brady is to an organization not just his play on the field. I live in St Louis and was at the first Super Bowl he won, after this I can finally accept that win wasn't a fluke. It only took twenty years.
@@0bob0cya Brett is one of the toughest and best to ever play the game. He is at the top with the rest of the elite QB's past and present. Brady is a phenom, playin in 1 or 2 Super Bowls is a great career. Playing in 10 in unheard of and winning 7 by a QB will never happen again.
refreshing to hear Tom's peers & Best contemporary Quarterbacks acknowledge how incredible his performance has been. We are lucky to witness such dominance from such a diligent leader in Tom Brady
Kobe wasn’t scared of him. He went right up to him and told him he’d beat him 1 on 1. There’s a story when Jordan played Kobe that Jordan during a game told Kobe that you can wear the shoes but u can never fill them referring to him wearing Jordan’s. Kobe didn’t talk to any of his teammates or Phil for a week. When they played Jordan again he dropped 42 on Jordan in the first half and 55 for the game.

Ha that is a great thought BUT can you imagine a loose cannon like Brett working with the best coach and his philosophy. Belichick would be foaming at the mouth HA
I was not a Brady fan for years. But what he did in the 2nd half of that SB vs the Falcons just forced me into his corner. And then his FIRST YEAR in Tampa they beat the mighty Chiefs. Just....damn. I put him in Jordan territory now. He has mastered the game of football like Jordan mastered basketball. Goats. 🐐
@@payless51980 Amen. Minnesota would've beaten the Colts. Favre had Ring #2, and with that, you know Favre was happy watching Brady and the Buccaneers end Drew Brees' career in beat down fashion in New Orleans during the Divisional Round.
I still remember the first time I saw Brady with the Patriots, after watching Eason and Bledsoe. My first thought was.....My God, this guy is so calm and quiet in the pocket. I couldnt believe it, he had no panic and no fear. To this day that quality is everything, all else emanates from this. Think about it....he will go for broke anytime, any situation, no fear. And then you just listen to the commentators....."OMG, I cant believe what just happened"!!!!!! Football is not for the faint of heart.
Absolutely agreed. I recall in a pre-season game of his second year (before he played a single down in reg season game), his play action motion, quick read, accuracy, timing, command of the offense all stood out at an elite level. Those qualities were all the more remarkable in contrast to Bledsoe. I knew then it was just a matter of (short) time before he will replace Drew, whom I am a big fan of as well. The truth is TB12 built the Patriots offense and he was the system, not the other way around. If the Patriots system was all that, they would have been able to turn Bledsoe into a HOF and other QBs they have drafted since into pro-bowlers. And all their departed OCs would have at least been good OCs elsewhere (they haven't). Brady makes the entire system run. I am a life-long Pats fan and I am happy for Brady. I am a lesser Pats fan today than 15 months ago because of what they did to him after all he has done for us.
I’ve always been appreciate of Brady. When he retires there goes the only player left from my childhood. I’m 32 was 12 when he won his first super bowl.
With that stat you have the 2000 and 2008 seasons included, in which he barely played due to being 4th string and the knee injury. Take those out and its 55%
The only reason Brady did not have the stats earlier in his career as he has now with Tampa, he never was given Exceptional WR talent. The Patriots never drafted young talented WRs, 1st Rounders.
Look at KC, they should have gone to the running game to stop the pass rush, and bring in the secondary. But because they were focused on passing they lost. Passing yards mean nothing, when you don't need to pass, you may want to use up the clock and run down the defense.
It's on record that Bill and the Patriots have never drafted a first round WR in over two decades. Terry Glenn was the last in 1996 and Bill wasn't the coach or GM. If i were to look up the statistic, i can almost be certain Bill has never drafted a WR in the second round. Tom got his WR's through late six round picks or trades, and the man was still successful...
@@spacepioneer4070 well...you're wrong Deion Branch was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Chad Jackson was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Aaron Dobson was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2013 Draft N'Keal Harry was drafted by the New England Patrionts in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
@@fomalhauto "Almost be certain" - Means i haven't looked at the statistics. I don't count N'Keal Harry, considering him and Tom never truly got to play together, he's injury prone. Nonetheless, N'Keal Harry is the only WR(He's pretty much a TE) that Bill has ever drafted in the first round. He did it to try and keep Tom in New England. I'm not trying to make this about who's right or wrong, i was obviously wrong about second round picks. Let's leave it at that, have a good one.
He's made the right choices in every instance. When at New England, the offense developed, gave him the ability to transcend his skills to the highest levels in every aspect. The scheme at the Patriots was great, and he perfected it. He proved everyone wrong for drafting him late. But that has been the motivating factor in perfecting the perfect offensive game plan. Hes done it again with the same system. He is great, and has proven it.
For all the wow trickery of running qb's, the odds of getting injured playing that way is inherently stacked against them having a long career. Tom knows that wasting his energy running around trying to make a play all the time is counter productive because he's not trying to catch his breath all the time which keeps him calm & aware instead of panting in panic after every scramble. This is his true Genius. The less you have to move the more focused & aware you are to make the right decision on every throw minimizing mistakes & conserving energy to finish the game & preventing serious injuries not taking risks on every play.
@@yellowbmblbee I just kept noticing Trick Homies was always so outta breath most of the time he was on the field that he couldn't focus on the next play & couldn't get them into the right one most of the time. The greatest compliment comes from one's peers of equal or greater standing in a field. I take what other greats say about Brady, not armchair experts. No doubt he will remain a legend! So fun to watch Brady all the way back when he was a punk QB at Michigan! Loved those old games! Go Michigan!
Over his career, yeah he’s the most talented. Not as a runner or strength of arm but seeing what’s going on with the defense. Getting rid of the ball so quickly. Brady is not just some great motivator. He just destroys defenses.

"He's not the player he was." Right. He's better now. If you could transfer the wisdom he has today to the Tom Brady of 10 or 15 years ago, his barren stretch between Super Bowls 39 and 49 (rings 3 and 4) would look better (lost two Super Bowls to the Giants during those nine years). First decade in the NFL: 4 Super Bowl appearances, 3 rings. Second decade: 5 trips, 3 rings. Third decade: so far it's 1 and 1.
Also, Brady's durability and knowing how to take a hit. He's had a single major injury and that's when he blew his ACL. Other than that, he's been insanely durable.
Don't understand the not the "most talented" comments always directed at TB........he is by far the most talented....he has an immense talent for throwing touchdown passes and is by lightyears the most talented ever at throwing complete passes when it really matters........or do they mean talented as in looking good in the hot tub after the game? Only the most talented player in history would hold the amount records and rings he does.
I think what they mean is physical ability or natural talent. He isn't a gifted natural player like Mahomes, but he makes up for it with hardwork, dedication, and preparation and of course fitness. I think that's what makes him so great. He is just a regular guy like us who we can relate to and follow
@@shankp2302 that is the thing , I think he is more talented and naturally gifted than Mahomes. For all its worth and it means a lot hard work dedication and being prepared only gets a person so far.......and that distance is a million miles away from 7 super bowl rings. 7. It takes the maximum of both hard work and talent to get even close to that. He makes it look really easy and he does the basics perfectly with no extra embellishment....that alone takes phenomenal talent and is obviously the best way to play the position. In the end it looks very vanilla (the way he plays) but is the exact opposite.
As a 40 yr fins fan I've watched TB Whole career. He has kept my Dolphins out of the playoffs and has owned that division since he walked on the field. I've lost count on how many times he's pulled a rabbit out of a hat on any given Sunday or Monday. Considering Brett Favre played at a high level when he was in his 40s, I consider him a great choice to speak on this matter. His opinion carries a lot of weight. The points he made were spot on. I remember when people were talking smack about Tom Brady when they were 7-5. I was like as long as they make the Playoffs, and he has about 30 something TDs he's going to have a very successful season. They went 11-5, winning 4 next reg season games, and he got to 40 touchdowns, and minimal interceptions total. In another year, that's the MVP, especially seeing that they won the next 4 games and the Superbowl. If Rodgers and Mahomes didn't ball out this year, Brady is the MVP. And he might take that personally next year, recognizing his teams strengths and really ball out, ala 2007 all over again, next year, seeking his 4th MVP. I CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!
Mahomes is good...but he won't endure runnin around like that... Bucs are physical, punch in the mouth defense...Brady said... "We know the answers to the test....execute...and didn't think he meant execution...lol

Perhaps the ultimate compliment from a top Hall of Fame quarterback is Brett in this interview actually saying, then demonstrating through becoming stuck for words, "I'M SPEACHLESS". Simply astounding!
Absolutely! I saw he waived off at least three sideline instructed plays in the Superbowl, and called his own as he saw the situation. Magnificent! Still a brillient gameplan by the offensive coordinator as well!
He's coaching, he's been a GM, do we really think he'll stop footballing once his body finally catches up to his age? He'll just do those things from the sideline or up in the GM booth.

So brady passes the ball can read defenses, knows how to speak to players to get the best, can analyse and change up to win games and he is not the best?? Why because he has to do tricks and run? And throw the whole football field just because it excites people? Getting your team to superbowls or getting the best out of your team so that you can win is the most talented you can be. Jaysus you people need to get your priorities straight. People want to see a dog that does tricks and sometimes gets the bone not one that gets the bone 7 out 10 times because he doesn't do tricks. Jaysus do you people listen to yourselves even if it just that he places himself in the right place to win the mental capability to that is more than any of all those other qb combined because clearly the can't even do that. But keep on enjoying your quarterbacks with tricks but no bones jaysus help this people. Simple answer is no that year would not have happened because firstly is a stupid what if and secondly none of the players that brady got on board would have played gronk ...ect And none of the defense would have felt what they did with rogers that has not won in a while, so if you are going to ask a stupid hypothetical question atleast answer it right.

Great interview, Brett Carve a class act talking about Tom Brady another class act. The "it" factor is correct, Brady is a good leader the team plays as a team and not individuals trying to overthink their positions to do better.
I get so tired of people saying Tommy isn’t the most talented. Why does people think a QB has to be so athletic. If you can throw as accurate as Tom. Pick apart a defense and move in the pocket that is talent. That is all a QB job is. It’s not to run fast or scramble or tackle. Tom Brady is talented he is the best at his job.
The knowledge of the game and situations is unmatched. He’s played more playoffs games than most qbs play games in their career. When he goes the post season he’s playing against a qb with 0-5 or 6 playoff games started. Sometimes he’ll play a brees or rodgers with 15-20 but Brady’s played in 45... Winning those first titles so early on was huge for his confidence. If you go your first 7-10 years before getting to a conference championship or SB you’re nervous in that game.
There is some great comments and rightly so. You know for 10 years every time Brady was featured I was like a magnet gravitating to that game on TV. Same as Manning, Bret, Montana but their gone. Only Brady left. Thank goodness. Look Brady attracts super players because they want to win the big one i.e. AB, Gronk and Fournette. Did you ever miss a game with Mickey Mantle or Micheal J or Larry Bird all goats in their time. I did not
Yeah, GOATS in their time. It is a historical version of Hallowed ground. I still re-watch the Atlanta Super Bowl and Tom Brady and Edelman became legends that night. I wish Edelman was with him now. Edelman’s mental toughness rivals Tom’s. Nobody on the offense of Tampa has that right now other than Tom. He made Tom a better player just by being his best friend.
@@wishingb5859 Exactly the fact and you will never witness a better one two punch than the 13 to 3 win over the Rams for #6 in which Edelman received MVP and 162 yards when the poor defensive backs whether cover 1 or 2 could not stop this guy. The "B" and "E" combination were on fire. Re Atlanta, yes when Patriots kick the field goal to go to 12 pts I told the gang in Laughlin at the Super Bowl party look out they are going to beat Atlanta. You could just feel the momentum and Edelman was again the man as was Amendola. If Godwin moves on AB will take his place and Miller will take the other wideout. OR Brady will make the phone call because I believe Edelman's contract expires and you know Belichick rather than franchise him he'll deal him out.
@@terrypaulson5945 You just made me shiver. Those games are the stuff legends are made of. Edelman would come and seriously transform that locker room almost as much as Tom has. Maybe more because those two men together take it up about 10 notches. It is almost like a chemical reaction. You could visibly see the mental moment the Atlanta game changed when those two men's minds connected.
What is impressive aboutTom Brady is that he has had several years when he didn’t have a loaded offense or he had a defense that wasn’t championship caliber and he still went to or won the Super Bowl.

Brett knows how much work you have to put in to be stay great in your 40’s.
He’s a loser.

Yeah, that was an amazing game played by one of the toughest competitors in that position.
Favre just gave the NFL the key to winning against Brady, DON"T PISS HIM OFF.
Yeah, THAT'LL work...
Totally disagree, he throws lasers. Pretty sure that was a laser to Gronk in the back of the endzone.
I know! Thats such a tired narrative.....The dude has one of the strongest arms in the league lol
Fucking DIME to Gronk baby!!
Brady's interview with Tony Romo. He really goes deep into how he has an obsession with making the perfect throw. And even when it looks perfect, he still feels like there is a detail or two that he wants to correct. Its incredible
laser! trust me , I have seen over 50 quarterbacks play.... role the tape
Tom was drafted by MLB as a catcher. You have to have a great arm for that. At 43 he was tossing balls 60 yards this year.
Brady inspired Tampa coaches & owners to bring in 3 AFC players to join him. All 3 scored TDs in Superbowl. Brady is an inspiring General. He reads Defenses like nobody's business & inspires his soldiers to be the glorious bastards they were destined to be.
Great comment and so accurate.
Montana is his hero. He plays just like him. In an era which allows QBs to last longer if things go their way physically

When it comes to Brady, it’s not just how many times he has won the bowl, but the true triumph is how he did it in TAmpa. 43 years old, new team, new book, no OTA, no pre season, And the only home post season game was in the “Bowl” itself. An absolute marvel.
Tom will have his own dedicated wing in Canton, that's just a fact.

Just his Presence makes the team play at a Higher Level.
Here's a stat for Hater Nation, Tom Brady has a better chance(%) to make another Super Bowl then Steph Curry making a 3!!! 47% to 43% .
With that stat you have the 2000 and 2008 seasons included, in which he barely played due to being 4th string and the knee injury. Take those out and its 55%
TB12 has played in 5 of the last 7 & won 4! Beat those odds!
That's crazy but facts are facts.

Not too shabby rolling out either.
Maybe second to Marino or first not sure

I think what they mean is physical ability or natural talent. He isn't a gifted natural player like Mahomes, but he makes up for it with hardwork, dedication, and preparation and of course fitness. Mr.Brady is a money ball player the Mr.October of football, a winner and a class act....CLASS DISMISSED

Well when you lose when it matters your not in that discussion. So made sense he didn't mention him. Hes got the stats and the magazine covers, but not the command.
He was right not to mention him
Hat's off to Brett !!!! Great take on Brady and his attributes. Thank you Brett!! I respect you so much!!
Self discipline is the key and believing in yourself.
Brett was always a class act and 1 of the most exciting QB's of all time to watch play, and for Brett to talk about how great the GOAT is means alot....
Tom has the "Mamba Mentality"
Yes!
No the mamba had Brady mentality
Bird had that mentality first
I'm a giants fan but I have to take my hat off and say he's the greatest to ever do it. After that win. Nothing to say but congrats and feel inspired. That's so amazing
Hard work and great leadership beats talent every day of the week. Twice on Sunday!
Just happy I've been alive to see this Tom Brady play! His belief in himself!
That way they can say oh that dog that does tricks isn't he the best!
Jaysus do you people listen to yourselves even if it just that he places himself in the right place to win the mental capability to that is more than any of all those other qb combined because clearly the can't even do that.
But keep on enjoying your quarterbacks with tricks but no bones jaysus help this people.
Simple answer is no that year would not have happened because firstly is a stupid what if and secondly none of the players that brady got on board would have played gronk ...ect
And none of the defense would have felt what they did with rogers that has not won in a while, so if you are going to ask a stupid hypothetical question atleast answer it right.
Non football fans I tell ya. I told my bro we (bucs) are going to play football on the chiefs, smash mutha fucking football no tricks straight dominating
I agree. People were getting all gaga about Mahomes after the superbowl loss. There are a couple of youtubes that detail just how poorly Mahomes played but most are screeching about him throwing the ball while falling over.
Being a huge Brett Favre fan it was awesome hearing one of my childhood heroes confirm my opinion of Brady.
Let's do it 2 more years Tampa Bay. Defense is badass. And Young..
Love the respect here.
New England made a serious mistake
On So many levels. But the one benefit is that it exposed bill b, as the wizard of oz. He had a losing record before Tom and he will not get to another Superbowl without Tom
@@whyhasgooglemessedwithmych1423 clearly you havent watched much football. Brady is the GOAT and Bill will be top 3 coach of all time. He was part of the Giants defensive dominance in the 80s. He built the Cleveland browns team that got moved to Baltimore and won a super bowl a couple years later in the 90s. Then he went to NE and had 20 years of dominance. I can't understand why people have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to sports. They're both elite at they're jobs.
@@davidmorgan5820 josh mcdaniels is a great offensive coordinator ( 6 SB's) but can't head coach as well. I think same goes for bill. You will see it more clearly now that brady is gone.
@@sarahthule3034 Bill has already proven himself. Just look at his records and accomplishments. I believe neither Brady nor Bill would have been as dominant without each other. It's okay for them both to be great.
@@davidmorgan5820 of course its ok. But bill as a head coach is significantly better with brady. Brady without bill, so far no change.
We've all witnessed history. And it may never be seen again. Certainly not in my life time, I'm 39. And he's still playing. Wow
Tampa Bay had a very good team .. but they were not making the playoffs before Brady.
Tom Brady is a complete person. He is a leader and lives that role on and off the football field. He brings way more than talent to any team. He makes the team be their best
Dam Fave is feeling all those hits. Praying for him
Cool
Great interview, Brett Carve a class act talking about Tom Brady another class act. The "it" factor is correct, Brady is a good leader the team plays as a team and not individuals trying to overthink their positions to do better.
Favre looking like he could come out of retirement. Wonder if he's using the TB12 method?
More likely, the HGH method
I get so tired of people saying Tommy isn’t the most talented. Why does people think a QB has to be so athletic. If you can throw as accurate as Tom. Pick apart a defense and move in the pocket that is talent. That is all a QB job is. It’s not to run fast or scramble or tackle. Tom Brady is talented he is the best at his job.
There is no reason to think swap Tom out for anybody they’d be as successful because no one thought Brady would be as successful
You know for 10 years every time Brady was featured I was like a magnet
gravitating to that game on TV. Same as Manning, Bret, Montana but their gone. Only Brady left. Thank goodness.
Look Brady attracts super players because they want to win the big one i.e. AB, Gronk and Fournette. I am going to drop this one on you.
and that is Odell Beck who wants to play with the great. And of course you have Edelman at beckon call . Great players gravitate to great players.
@@wishingb5859 Exactly the fact and you will never witness a better one two punch than the 13 to 3 win over the Rams for #6 in which Edelman received MVP and 162 yards
when the poor defensive backs whether cover 1 or 2 could not stop this guy.
Thank you Brett Favre. I was your fan when you with the Packers and the Vikings and the respect you show to Brady. Thank you.
1:23-lol..lol,,, he didn’t wanna say Rogers
What is impressive aboutTom Brady is that he has had several years when he didn’t have a loaded offense or he had a defense that wasn’t championship caliber and he still went to or won the Super Bowl.
