I purchased an earlier version of the Asus monitor and have used it for Work From Home the past two years. It was a game changer compared to using a one screen laptop.
Yep. I've been really enjoying the monitor. Although today, my light-stand fell over and dented the top bezel. Thank goodness the screen still works. Whew!
Asus MB16ACE has the advantage for a single USB Type-C cable connection without DP Alt mode needed but its color gamut coverage is very poor, around 63% sRGB as I measured via Datacolor Spyder5 (44% on Adobe RGB). This is because the displayable colors on this monitor specs are only 260,000 colors. This monitor works fine for normal usage without color accuracy needs.
Hey man, great video. Just a quick question. Did the monitor have a hole in the back for screwing it in a tripod? This is so it can attach to a tripod stand instead of relying on the provided stand or a pen?
Hi Gianna - This monitor ASUS MB16ACE - I think is a good choice for photoshop. However, if you're looking for an option that could double as an input device, I would recommend the KAMVAS 13. Although the resolution isn't going to be as good as the ASUS MB16ACE, and the screen will be smaller, you can draw and work directly on it which eliminates the need for something like a Intuous tablet. I have a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/GeziUCiAtoM/видео.html
Hi, thank you for the information. I was wondering if this monitor works as a main monitor if I colse my macbook? My macbook screen has a problem and I was thinking if i can use the asus as the main one. Thanks in advance
Hi - my main PC has a dedicated GPU (RTX 3060), but my MAC M1 Mini and my Dell laptop both have integrated graphics unit. All of them work well with the ASUS monitor featured in this video.
I have this monitor and I have a no name brand monitor and it's the same thing. Nothing special about it other than name brand and maybe customer service if you have issues. Aside from that there are many cheaper options on Amazon that offer more bang for bucks.
Thanks. I was tempted to go that route, one with multiple inputs incl. HMDI, but decided on a safer choice with a trusted brand. But this day and age, I'm sure the no name brand would have worked just fine. Thanks for watching.
does it work with ipad mini 6 or samsung galaxy s21. i need to use google docs and view webpages away from home as a trucker. the phone is still small enough screen it is less comfortable. on small screen.

Hi Giuly - It should work. I use it with my MAC Mini M1. However, I have to use the USB-A port on my MAC and the USB-C on the monitor AND make sure the Display Link software is active. I could not get it to work plug and play using USB-C to USB-C for MAC.
@@aniketthakurdesai4345 yes usb-c to usb-c DisplayPort aka thunderbolt cable. Not a slim usb-c cable that charges cell phones and peripherals those don’t work

Great review, I was actually here to see how to use the use the protective cover as a stand but the pen trick is awesome! Thank you for sharing that!

For color accuracy you can check out the ASUS ProArt Display PA148CTV
This is a fantastic review video. Thank you!
What are the power requirements...(How many watts does it need to draw from the peripheral port to turn on and function)?
Great video, i would prefer more screen time for the product though.
Let me know if there is anything specific you'd like to know more about. I'll try to answer. Thanks.
@@AndyPark365 The info was adequate I suggested a tad more screen time to get a sense of dimensions.

Just a quick question. Did the monitor have a hole in the back for screwing it in a tripod? This is so it can attach to a tripod stand instead of relying on the provided stand or a pen?
No, unfortunately, there is no mounting option built in to the monitor. No tripod thread or vesa mount.
Bought one.
Now I watch movies at work : D

Yes, I use it with my ThinkPad docking station

Hi Kevin - unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it work using usb-c port on my m1 mini. It only works when I have it attached to usb-a.

If you have Type C USB connection, you should be all set!
