by placing the cube on the table you launch a preset/sampler that is recognized by the software. variating angle and position of the cubes towards the center changes frequency and amplitude. there are different cubes for different presets such as baselines or presets. other cubes help you sequence and harmonize the sound. basically it works like a synthesizer but it has a very extravagant tangible interface which looks pretty nice in my opinion.

I think also that every side of the cube has it own properties and you can put songs on each site like this one from rihanna.
