  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

Its crazy to think that your videos helped me get a job! Ive always enjoyed them, and now I maintain a massive property in a wetland area, there are several culverts i have to constantly clear, and just watching hours of you clearing culverts and breaking down dams when necessary gave me a head start on what to expect, so i gotta say thank you!

If you make a habit of always doing that no matter what then you will never forget it when an officer is behind you. The same thing applies to every aspect of driving. The main rule of driving in the US is to keep to the right. If you always do that no matter what then you will never cut across the corner on a blind intersection and not have to worry about suddenly meeting someone else turning there.

I must say I have enjoyed your success on your tapes. I have several concerns and some suggestions.
    1) you have a great risk of staff infection. They make gloves that have higher on the arm and which you can tape closed.
    2) your hip waiters suck, buy the ones that go beyond the hips.
    3) set up a lander that will protect you from being sucked into your work, this is easy and well worth it.
    4) there is a safer way of cleaning the culvert, run a roap thru the colvert, pvc pipe with threaded connection. Put beam clamps on both sides. Put small blocks onto been clamps. Install rope thru blocks and have slack.
    4) attach a small anchor and or a graffle hook. ( this could be reversed at any time to unclog the tube. )
These don't take very long to set up but will have a fast result.
    Good luck.

Awesome video post! Love the new finds! Cool to see how nature/beavers will reclaim anything man made given the time to do so.

Your absolute joy when dealing with this culvert was pretty awesome and basically the reason I subscribed. Thanks Post 10 for another great unclogging video!

Person: So what do you do for a living?
Post 10: Well, I unclog water pipes and play with whirlpools.
Person: Uh, I don't think that pays very well.
    Post 10: Hold my rake...

As this was, as you stated, probably in this condition for years, what is happening downstream. Like, a mile or two downstream. Could be interesting to put a couple trail cameras a mile or two down stream to see it come rolling in. Well done. As usual.
