Location: Houston is located in Southeast Texas, near the Gulf of Mexico. It is the seat of Harris County.
Population: As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Houston's population was over 2.3 million people, making it the most populous city in Texas.
Economy: Houston is a major economic hub with a diverse economy. It's known for its prominence in the energy industry, particularly oil and natural gas. The city is also home to the Texas Medical Center, one of the largest medical complexes in the world, and it has a strong presence in aerospace, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
Culture: Houston has a vibrant cultural scene with a variety of museums, theaters, and cultural institutions. The Museum District, for example, is home to several museums, including the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Museum of Fine Arts.
Space Exploration: Houston is famously known as the home of NASA's Johnson Space Center, where the Mission Control Center is located. The center played a crucial role in the Apollo program and continues to be a hub for human spaceflight activities.
