  • Full tutorial! Please go easy on me for the video production! I’m new to uploading to RUclips and I was kind of in a time crunch!
If anyone would be interested in plans or a materials list, let me know!

I would love the plans for this. I build props for theater so this would really come in handy!

If you didn't want to draft up whole plans, just the dimensions would be fine.

I knew I should have drawn up plans when I built it! I unfortunately don't have any. I literally just built this as I went, with no plans. And I can't even measure it for you because
I donated it to the city and they have possession of it. So the only measurements I have are at the beginning of the video when I was making the wooden jig. However, when the time comes, and they have it set out to be used, I can take some measurements for you!

You should build to sell. They look great !

Thanks! If I got more efficient at building them, I could see that being profitable!

Unfortunately I did not make any plans for it. The only thing I have is this video.

Hi! I just came across your video. I'm trying to make this exact same thing but it will be a flag retirement box for the American Legion. Do you happen to know what kind of sheet metal was used? I know you said in your video you just asked for something sturdy and flexible but maybe you remember the thickness or gauge of the metal. Or if you could tell me the total cost of your project, and the cost of the metal?

Ugh! I knew I should have kept better records. I have no idea what the gauge of metal was. It wasn't super thick. All of the sheet metal was donated to me from a local metal shop (since this was being made as a gift to the city). The angle iron was maybe $50 or so. Of course there's primer and paint and all the little extras that add up. One mistake I made was getting galvanized sheet metal. Do not get galvanized. It's much harder to paint.

Do you have plans for this?

I don't as of right now, but was thinking about making some, if there was interest. I don't really have much of a RUclips following (new to this), so didn't want to go through the trouble of making plans if no one wanted them!
