Thank you, wonderful atmospheric video and very emotional day. I travelled on the final trip of 43106 and felt very priviledged. Over a period of several years I was a volunteer in the Motive Power Depot. Happy New Year SVR.❤and to all who help this railway to keep on running. It is precious!
Northwood - what an atmospheric shooting location, hairs on the back of the neck job!!! They certainly had a lot of toys out of the box for the beginning of January. Cheers Matthew👍👍👍👍
First time trying that location, after a very helpful tip from some friends more familiar with the SVR than me. Seemed to be a very well attended event as well. Hopefully it stays on the calendar for the future. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sadly just like our 2-8-0 number 60 over here at the railroad I currently work on over here in America. I got to see her up close in the shop on a recent training tour I got around the yard upon passing all my operation tests. Hopefully she should be back up and running sometime at the end of this or beginning of next year, depending on what amount of work needs to be done by the mechanical department with her overhaul.

As for the stanier LMS mogul this is the first time I get to see her in the 1990s livery and carrying the old number 2968
Lovely footage Matt. Great to see you again.

Great video footage. 🙂
Thank you
Awesome video! Just wondering, do you have any tips or directions on how to get to foley park and maybe where to park?
Is it just me or does the Stanier Mogul look really like a Black 5..i think they are both Staniers. Much the same look as Leander and Bahamas also.
Both designed by Stanier. The mogul was a forerunner to the 'Black 5'.

So just to be clear. 43106 will retire until they find the time to restore her?
Correct
