That marriage and kids will not warranty happiness in life. whatever you do, don't have kids young. You can change partners, but your kids can't change their parents. Don't ruin that for them

Save photos of your loved ones. At my mom's memorial last year, we had seven pictures total and I had one short video. She hated her photo being taken but I would have loved some more great pictures of her.

My mum was the same. My sister managed to get a couple of candid pics that are lovely, and before dementia stole her mind, we got a fantastic recording of her recalling stories of her youth.

Foreal. My uncle took a picture of my grandpa when he was younger in his 30s he was waisted drunk wearing a Pevey shirt holding a Coors Banquet . I was wondering where that picture went.

If you wouldn't go to them for advice, then pay no heed to their opinions.

That you can’t in fact, be anything you want. You would need the good graces of others and a bit of hard work and most importantly LUCK!! Also that just cuz you work hard doesn’t guarantee success financially. For example: I have Pursued various jobs and went to school for set jobs, but could never land, said job for said career, because the people hiring and interviewing didn’t want me despite my education and persistence and qualifications. So here I am doing something completely different.

That I had CPTSD at 50 and ADHD, at 58.
It has made me feel both less angry at myself for not reaching my potential, and more sad that I lived my whole life in fight or flight, with chronic insomnia, and very very low executive function and despite trying so very hard, and people only seeing the pretend me who they thought was strong happy and hard working, who became ill when things were starting to work, (I did become ill. I just didn't know it was burnout from hyperfocusing and trying to steamroll myself through to the end result. and did not live upto my potential.

Look after your back! You only get the one. If you are injured at work, ALWAYS ensure that you claim worker's compensation or, at the very least, fill out an incident report!
Also, tell your mum you love her (if appropriate), because before you know it you'll be middle-aged & she'll be gone.

Unconditional love is not real or a thing. Even for children or pets. That’s borderline obsessive and toxic behavior. There will ALWAYS be something a loved one can do to cause you to stop loving them. It can be an extreme thing because love is a very extreme emotion.

BUT conditional love isn't always the norm either. It's just way too many parents and close ones have very capricious standards of when loving their child/sibling etc can turn into hatred

Unconditional love is totally real for pets unless you’re abusive to them. Does your pet care how you look, how much money you make, what you do for a living? They’re going to love you no matter what unless you give them reasons not to.

Unconditional love always sounded like attachment to me.
People get attached to people and pets and SOs.
Love is emotion. Attachment is something like belonging, you are attached to you arm in more ways then just anatomical, it's a part of you and belongs to you and you happy you have it and will be sad if you lost it.
What do you think about that train of thought?

    Coworkers are NOT friends
Do not ever date people you work with or for.
    Keep your private business private

You're the one in the driver seat of your life, only you can step on that gas. No-one else can do it for you...sure, they can give you all sorts of advice on when to step on it and how hard, some may even be able to give you a little push, but you gotta step on that gas, for if you don't, you're just gonna be stuck on the racetrack of life going nowhere.

0:16 "excuses" yeah, right. try telling that to the people who have to work 2+ jobs in order to just barely be able to afford rent but get shafted just months later with a massive price hike. and oh yeah, this is what most americans have to deal with. you know, *in the most "developed" country on earth.*

I can’t believe something as simple as drinking more water wasn’t mentioned. Another is learning to breathe correctly. Most people are shallow breathers. There’s a reason people who are stressed out are told to inhale and exhale deeply. Our bodies and brains deal with the negative effects of stress more adequately when we’re properly oxygenated.

get therapy even if you don't believe that you need it for a shitty childhood, or a bad/abusive relationship, why you end up choosing shitty partners/friends, why you use drugs/alcohol to excess or often, and more. I really wish I had done therapy and now it's too late
