When I go to visit my parents, my mom will ask me ahead of time if there's any food I'd like her to make or have on hand when I'm there. I used to ask if she could buy a few cups of my faovite yogurt, but I've stopped because of the situatiion that happens every single time. My mom always has yogurt cups in the refrigerator for my dad, so she'll always tell me I can have some of those. They're not the kind I usually buy for myself, but it's a kind I like, so I don't push the issue. Well, when I get there and say I'm going to have a cup of yogurt, my mom will say, "Well, those are really for your dad . . . ." and doesn't want me to eat them. It's absolutely maddening. My parents definitely have the money to buy a few cups of yogurt, but my mom can't bring herself to do it because there's already yogurt in the fridge. But then I'm not supposed to eat the yogurt she told me I could have, since it's supposed to be for my dad. *sigh* I gave up.

My mom treats me according to whatever age she finds appropriate.
Ex: Whenever she needs a responsible adult to help her with anything, she always comes to me knowing I'll do it. Whenever she needs to feel like she knows more than she does/wants to seem socially sophisticated in front of other people, she talks down to me in a condescending manner as if I'm a child.

My parents do this occasionally, it drives me bonkers.
It’s mostly my mom who does this.

Using religion to justify whatever they said and did to overrule whatever I wanted to do and keeping us in a conservative/christian ONLY bubble. Even THINKING they were wrong was a HUGE disobedience to God and I should always be ashamed of myself cause I can't ever be good enough.
Also my parents made me, cause of religion, have to put all my wants and needs last and everyone before me to the point of being a looked down upon doormat otherwise I was not doing what God wanted me to do...but NO ONE ELSE was doing that!!!

When I do the chores around the house or do some yard work, they always wanna brush it and act like its no big deal, but when they do them instead, they treat it like a monumental achievement and pretend like I don't that shit every single day.🙄🤦‍♂️😑

When I drive my mom somewhere, it's not enough that I turn on GPS on my phone or in my car. No, she will turn on GPS on her phone, too, on full volume, and of course it will drain the battery, so she will start fumble with cables and charges while I'm driving.
Also my mom: "your car is so low, it's so hard to get into". I drive a Mazda3. No, I'm not going to buy some fugly gas guzzling SUV.

Both of my parents are narcissistic. No matter what I say or do it's never good enough for them and they dispute me on almost everything even if there is no reason to. Facts or legit evidence doesn't matter to them. If they say the sky is yellow then it's yellow end of discussion.
Another thing that annoys me is how they just use me because I'm more intelligent than they are. I would understand if it was something complex that they can not do. Instead they want me to figure out everything including stupid crap that doesn't matter. Here are a few examples of the questions they ask:
"Why would they put ugly lights like that on a new car?" (Do I really have to explain aesthetics of car design?)
"Who is that guy and why do they keep showing him on screen?" (Watching TV its the main character, if they paid attention they would know)
"Is your brother working again?" (Parents see brother more often than I do but are too lazy to call and ask him)

I am always the last one to find out something or to be informed.
Mom:"That huge thing is happening tomorrow, you ready."
    Me:"What huge thing?"
Mom:"The thing we have been planning for months, noone told you?"

My mom often times refuses to admit when she's wrong, even when at least three other people are telling her that she's wrong.
    I still love her, though.
She's also technologically challenged, and I've grown to despise trying to help her with that stuff, because she also never retains the information I give her

I have two things from my father:
    1. He never actually washes his dishes. He just runs water on them and puts them in the other side of the sink to dry.
    2. He’ll say he’s leaving to go somewhere, and then after 15-20 minutes of hem-hawing around, he says “I’m actually gone now”.

Wait, how many people are flushing toilets with the lid open?! Yeah, particles fly out otherwise.

I absolutelydisliked and was annoyed by the AI-generated narrative. I can read; just wanted that "voice" to be silenced. (Humans are, after all, quite intelligent. We invented AI. LMAO, such a mistake that was.)

I have a friends dad who follows into a LOT of these examples. Usually the ones where they're being condescending/not acknowledging either adulthood/knowledge.

Not as bad as some of the other stuff on here, but my dad is very stubborn. He once had a stomach virus and wouldn't go to the doctor because he believed it was just some bad food that didn't agree with him. It took me bluntly telling him that he always taught me it was better to be safe than sorry and should apply the same logic to himself to get him to go get checked out, and it turns out, it was the stomach virus I believed it was. I love him very much but I'm afraid his stubbornness will kill him one of these days

Growing up as a Jehovah Witness. I absolutely hated how my parents forced their beliefs onto me. It is still a sour point in our relationship

When I visit mum and one of her friends calls her she tries to get me to talk to them "Glen, want to say hi to Karen?" "No I don't want to say fricking hi to Karen, you know I worked in a call centre for 30 years and if I never have to speak anyone again it would be awesome " I only go over each day for 5 minutes to make sure she didn't die in the night.

This is a tiny thing but it bugs me like nothing else I know.
My mother is the only person I know who says "black pitch dark". Everyone else I know says "pitch black", usually with no dark added. I know it's stupid because I generally don't care about stuff like that, but this ONE phrase drives me so insane that I can't even look at her for a few seconds after she says it.
Worse, she's one of those people that tends to rephrase and restate a point for about five to ten minutes. So it's less that she says one thing that annoys me, and more that she'll turn it into a "story" that is really just her saying the same thing in three different ways. AND YET she still never manages to say it the one way that wouldn't bother me!
