    Funny how employers expect notice of someone quitting but don’t give notice when they terminate someone.
    That said on the only occasion I was laid off I did get a severance package.
    And trust me, if an employer fights unemployment benefits (mine didn’t), “suing” isn’t all the employee is considering. Tread carefully. Very carefully.
