I have an MPK Mini Play Mk I, I have everything seemingly set up correctly (proper notes, midi channels, etc etc) However, when I assign the drums on my MPC One to the pad midi channel, there’s no audio, but the MPC Recognizes it’s receiving a MIDI Signal. If I switch those pads to a plugin, it plays that just fine, and the keybed will play the drums - but I want the opposite

Sort of an off-topic question about the MPK Mini. Have you or anyone taken one apart to check the connections for the keys? I haven't taken my apart as yet, but before I do, i wonder if anyone knows if each key has just 1 contact or 2 (or more??) ?? The reason is that I have a set of bass pedals from my old Yamaha HS8 organ and I want to build an interface to the MPK mini so that I can play bass with the pedals, having many options for types of sounds. Also, if that works well, I want to also add to the interface, one of the keyboard beds from the same old organ. Basically, I want to build a stand-alone unit with pedals and 1 keyboard, using the mini as the engine. So I have to decide if it's worth it. IF the keyboard on the mini just uses 1 or 2 contact per key, then it's worth it. But if it's using more, then perhaps not so much. Ideas?
Thanks for the tutorial ! I've plugged my MPK Mini Mk3 in to my MPC One... and followed the tute... it works, keys seems to work as expected... but for the Pads... Pad1 on the MPK is triggering Pad13 on the MPC One... Pad2 on MPK is triggering Pad15 on the One.... what's going on? How do I fix it?
Quick question. I had recorded a lot of music on my dp-24sd on to an sd card. Then i put it in my recently purchased mpc one where i can possibly add to some of the beats i already made. When i put it back into the dp-24sd, the file is gone. But when its in the mpc one, theyre all there. How can i get them back?

Great video as usual 👍. A question - I presume the mapping of the pads is compatible with the MPC's native mapping? I use a Roli Lightpad Block to play Bank B while the MPC pads play Bank A but the Lightpad uses chromatic mapping so I have to remember to switch the MPC track's map to chromatic so that both sets of pads are mapped the same way. My wish is that Akai would add a mapping feature that translates the input's mapping to the track's mapping. This was a handy feature in Cubase during my Atari days.

Any clue on how to configure a LaunchPad X for MPC Beats? The device is there in Preferences, but the typical chromatic midi note assignments don't seem to work with MPC Beats. It's possible MPC Beats expects midi channel 10, whereas default LaunchPad X might be midi channel 1.
I'd imagine you would have to make sure CONTROL is turned on for the LaunchPad X and you would likely need to manually map the software pads to the hardware pads using learn mode in the MPC Beats software.

You can save the whole project as a template. When you press "save as" you can check the box that says save as template and you can load the template up from the start screen.

Man I have dyslexia and trying to learn all this from videos has had my MPC one setting on my desktop looking at me. I cannot get it. Do you know of any people who teach? I'm in New Jersey but can travel to New York of Philly. It's just way to much for my brain to learn from watching videos. I really would love to learn.
I bought a mpc a year back and I’m still learning new things on it, it just takes time , probably like 3-5 months until I understood the work flow without frustration

I got both the One and MK3 but am still playing around with the One. It takes me a while to understand everything conceptually.
Can encoders and faders from midi keyboard be assignable to control any other modulations ? filters, lfo...volume from each track...etc ??

You need to push play in mpc and send the sync out to MPK. MPK needs to be set to external for it to sync with an external device.
