This is hands down my favorite video from you to date! Living on the coast the Pacific Coast never disappoints. Holy green at Hells Canyon too, stunning 🤙🏻🇺🇸🏔️
It’s been a while since I released a proper adventure series. Much more coming though. Feels so good to be working on adventure vids again!! Hope you stick around for the rest of the series!!
So cool to hear you listened to the podcast. I debated holding it back until after the vids..but sounds like releasing ahead of them was ok! Really appreciate your support!!
Great video Will. Can't wait to try this route. Our group just did the Idaho BDR inspired by you and your video. It was so fantastic. Looking forward to more of your adventures...
That's so cool to hear. I bet it was super green this with all of the spring rain/snow we had. So glad to hear your group had a good time. I think this new Oregon route will be pretty incredible as well.
Great episode!! Looking forward to the future edits. Scenery looks absolutely incredible. Jealous of the long range trails you get in the US too! Lucky to get 6 miles in one go over here.
Great start to the series! The amount of time (and love) that went into creating this video is evident. I think Hell's Canyon has been bumped up to a "must do" on our list after watching this one!
Thanks man. These longer trips are my favorite stories to edit...I love being able to develop the story over multiple episodes then combine into a full feature. Hells is incredible...one of my most favorite places. Hope you make it out there!
Once again I'm here at my lunch break watching the premier. My mind is traveling with you Will and for that I thanks you. Your editing and narrative are so good, I feel I'm watching a television show but way more entertaining.🤘Keep the videos coming. PD Are you planing on going to Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion next month?
So glad you are enjoying the vids and thank you for super kind words! It feels really good to be working on a longer expedition type series again - it's what I love the most. No Jeep Invasion for me...I'm not doing many events this year...maybe the Teton Overland Show..but that's probably it.
I have watched a few of your videos in the past and have enjoyed them all but, this one made me hit the subscribe button! I live north of where you are travelling (and across a border) but Oregon is on my list of places to go. Can't wait to see the rest!
YES! So glad you subscribed!!! I'm having a blast putting this series together..the trip was kind of all over the map..literally. Thank you for subscribing!
Cmon Will, your leaving us hanging! Not used to this. I can't wait to see this whole trip! Much love from a fellow Boise-an. ❤️ Don't forget to find Hindman lake!!!!!(central idaho)🎉
Hindman is on my list! I'm really enjoying making the series..the hooks at the end are some of my favorite things to play with...working on the next one now so no one stays hanging too long!!! Cheers to locals supporting locals!
Everything about this series is going to be AWESOME!!! What a great edit, and what a great challenge you have ahead jn this trip!! Really looking forward to the next one!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Another excellent video. Too funny, well not too funny about how we too had rain almost every day on our trip in June. Our channel is about our adventures with our son with Down Syndrome. He and I headed out on Father’s Day on our motorcycle for Wyoming. Out of 11 days, we rode and camped in the rain. We now hate rain 😆
My buddy @allthingsoverlanding was out in Wyoming around that time too! Rain is ok...but like...for a day or two...11 days sounds pretty miserable..BUT sometimes that's what makes the trip fun oddly enough. Thanks for watching!!
I'll bring a few bottles when we go for a run, some things that make Blantons taste like rain water. 😂 Beautiful run yall. Can't wait to get up that way.
@Venture2Roam of course!! My last adventure I had a bottle of Stagg for people to try. But I'm personally a hitter fan. Barrel proof and beyond. I'd bring a Larceny Barrel proof and Nulu.
They are Cascadia tech chairs. Super comfy and they pack down pretty small (and are very light). Costco special baby....just wait for them to go on sale and you can get two for like $70.
Having withdrawals since last camping video. Satisfied . Thank you. I know its dependent on the trail conditions but what is the average miles or time to you usually travel in between camp spots?
I was having withdrawls too..I love the garage stuff..but nothing beats getting out on the trail and, for me, making an adventure video. It's hard to say miles between stops because not all miles travel the same...but I typically try to keep it under 200 miles and 6 hours of driving per day. This trip was waaaaaayyyy more than that...but the reason for that will become clear in the next episodes.
Thank you!! We have Cascadia Tech chairs. Got them at Costco on a sale. Love them. Very comfortable, very light.and they pack down small enough to fit 4 on the side of my Jeep against the back windows.
Great video! I've spent a lot of time in the Idaho and Montana mountains but have yet to venture into Oregon. This video just convinced me of what I'm missing out on. Btw, what's that rain jacket you're wearing about the 15 minute mark?
Thank you so much! Oregon has a really diverse landscape. The jacket is a Patagonia Triolet. I’ve had it for years and love it. Very good in wet snow or rain.
@@Venture2Roam Absolutely nailed it. If my 200 sounded like that I'd be pretty stoked. Also, I'm with @RevereOverland I'm gonna need to see this route file...
I'm giving a thumbs up to help the algorithm and overall good video. From my humble perspective I would suggest less camera time on your faces. For example, when discussing weather, that could easily just be a voice over while you are showing more scenery. Also, less focus on you when driving, you can do all scenery while narrating. Try for an 80/10/10 ratio of 80% scenery, 10% maps and route showing, and only 10% focused on your faces, eating, etc. Again, overall a very nice video and thank you for the work.
@@BritGuyAbroad LOL. Well - jab accepted then 🤣. Those are Poncho shirts..made for outdoors stuff..but it does kind of look like I'm going to church lol.
@@Venture2Roam all you’re showing is just driving on gravel roads- you don’t need a bazillion-dollar rubicon to do that… but, ya, the scenery is great- I’ll add that ride to my minivan tour-
@@jrobdickson8498Ya, it’s tricky because we’re making a new route that we want to accessible for lots of vehicle types. And honestly we didn’t show some of the stuff that would cause a minivan to turn around…and we were just breaking in the new Jeep..getting a feel for it. We’ve got plenty of vids coming that show it being used on much harder trails/obstacles..but that’s why I love Jeeps. They do the easy stuff and the hard stuff really well. Glad to hear you liked the scenery. If you are looking for super sketchy Jeep stuff, my buddy Shaun has a channel called @thestorytillnow. We are a channel with a broader mix of content..including easy trails and family adventures…with some hard stuff, but not like Shaun lol.
@@Venture2Roam you guys do great work, and I love that you’re willing to share the trails with minivans, lol ! But ya,once while gassing up in Greeneville I was told by overlanders that we’d never make it to the Ghost Trains because my pickup had highway tires and wasn’t four wheel drive-
@@jrobdickson8498seems like we always run into a Honda Civic at the top of sketchy trails lol 🤷♂️. So you won’t hear me telling you it won’t make it…the driver makes all the difference.
The music is cringe and the fake exaltation is annoying. Stop trying to sell a lifestyle, you people aren't influencers or "media personalities" and mingling that with overly dramatic camera work and lame canned music is just really the worst.

Love it! So when can we get the maps/route for it?
I mean...you can get it anytime..but we won't publish publicly until we run it at least once more..so probably this Winter/Next Spring
Great video! Way leave it off on a cliffhanger, I’ll be back to watch the next one.
Next one is coming very soon!
