    Looking back on this with hindsight, it's amazing how prescient this VOD is. You get to see Mr Girl's entire range of meta-argument style and rising rage as he decides a discussion partner isn't dealing fairly with him ultimately ending in a deliberately vile bridge burn, Vaush commit himself to people having Lolli is "sussi" and then being caught with it on his own computer, and Destiny watching two INCREDIBLY toxic people he signal boosted and supported who both turned on him for different grudges.

    • @subzero-v6h
      @subzero-v6h Месяц назад +2

      saying mrgirl turned on destiny is not my perspective. destiny allowed his mod to become power hungry based on a personal grudge against mrgirls style/communication on the reddit. mrgirl rightfully didnt let this go and refused to submit to the system destiny built, destiny subsequently hid behind the moderator to not have to take responsibility even though he hired the mod himself and gave exactly those powers to the moderator. the entire narrative that everyone turns on destiny is very telling in my opinion. when someone hates you, they might be wrong, but when everyone hates you then its getting more fair to say that youre the problem. destiny seems to be the one with the self fufilling prophecy of people stabbing him in the back, in reality i think he invites and facilitates it himself and then uses that events to play the victim

    • @TheAttercop
      @TheAttercop Месяц назад +1

      @@subzero-v6h He objectively turned on Destiny. You can argue that he was justified to do so, either over Fuentes or the subsequent Reddit shitstorm Max insisted on inciting, but you have to concede he went from "Steven I love you" to "Steven is Harvey Weinstein and I must destroy him." The fact is that Max is unable to handle any disagreement or criticism; he's more than willing to viciously attack people, but then plays the "I'm a very sensitive warrior" card to hide from the backlash. I'm no Destiny simp; as a conservative I'll be the first to state he is largely driven by his hatreds and is more than willing to empty the proverbial silos at people who cross his (often nebulous) redlines, but to pretend that he didn't treat Max with kid gloves over this is insane. He had multiple conversations about Max's arguments, brought the Mod on to debate the issues with the (as you admit, Destiny-owned and run) subreddit, and then AGAIN to listen to him argue for hours that Max should be allowed to continue to ragebait in the subreddit despite admitting he knew it was feeding the flames. Max was told explicitly that if he could simply stop inciting that dumb "war" he declared for 3 days it would all dissipate and he would be welcomed back, but he just couldn't do it. If you can really look back on all those conversations and his post-"Report" meltdowns with softballers like Whick, far-rights like The Crucible, and even the rabidly anti-Destiny mole Pres Sunday and still think Max is a hapless victim all I can say is I'm glad you enjoy the taste of the Kool Aid.

      I think his particular issue with Destiny wasn't that he empathized with Nick, and more that he opened his house to him. Which I still disagree is necessarily a bad thing (I think open acts of trust towards an opponent is probably one of the best ways to get them to be more open with their actual feelings and intentions, and thus find the root of the issue) but it's certainly different from Mr Girl abandoning his empathy. I will agree that the p 3 do jokes were bad and he shouldn't have done them, if not out of bad taste then at least because vaush was already having a hard time discussing the issue and some p 3 do jokes certainly wouldn't have helped. Other than that though what do you have to say that he is a p 3 do? If you, vaush, or vgg gets so insanely uncomfortable discussing what we think americas age preference is.... isnt that really really bad? If we cant even discus what we think the average American man wants age-wise without getting defensive and trying to point fingers than that is NOT GOOD and scary. All mr girl was doing was setting up a hypothetical to try and show what age men want. How is that bad? Again the jokes I think were bad taste but other than that I think it is a very interesting and almost necessary conversation to have. Vaush said 14-17, mr girl said 14-15, the difference being that when mr girl said that vasuh immediately jumped out of the hypothetical and started blaming him of pdf filia, essentially saying "do you think 14-15 because of your empathy with p 3 dos or because you are a p3 do" but couldnt mr girl have done the same thing? I mean after all vaush and him and the same numbers how is he any different? But thats not even the point, the point is that it was never about their individual preferences but the preferences of society vuash's defensiveness only shows how he cant handle converstaions like these.
      On the point of bad faith, how was mr girl bad faith? He bit every bullet in the hopes of moving the conversation forward while vaush debated the semantics of every hypothetical for 10 minutes. Mr girl, to me, seemed to be trying to have a conversation while vaush was trying not to get trapped.

    If you watch the show, you realise his reasons for some of his worst actions are just from petty grievances and pathetic narcissism and it makes it 1000x worse. Understanding why he does what he does, allowing yourself to feel what he feels for a moment, reveals how utterly pathetic he is.

The act of pedophilia is not normative and distasteful for most of us in Western culture. We can't have thought police go after peoples thoughts so I can be empathetic to people with that inclination. But it's not acceptable in most societies so that's it. The questions regarding what underage demographic is your preferred age is a loaded question and I would have just responded "I'm indifferent to that question." Regarding reasoning people to end slavery instead of having a Civil War. Frankly that was a fucking stupid discussion. mrgirl with his thought experiments and eluding what concrete things could have been done were a total waste of time. Are geopolitics so boring that normalizing pedophilia is now all the rage to produce useful discussions? Wow. If I missed stuff it's because I had the discussion playing in the background and I fast forwarded thru parts that were pure word vomit and painful to listen to.

    I dont see whats hard to grasp. There could have been a better resolution to slavery. It was a very long racist fight to abolish slavery that tbh slaves had to really do themselves. Its not crazy to say there probably was a better way to abolish slavery its kind of obvious.

    • @AbsoluteUnit333
      @AbsoluteUnit333 2 года назад +1

      what could they have possibly done to end slavery better. it's all subjective btw. If you prefer the saving of human lives rather than ending slavery faster then you would think that not doing the civil war is preferable even if slavery went on for a lot longer. If you are rational and sane then the civil war was the best as it is the fastest possible way to get rid of slavery. But please, tell me, in your opinion what would have been a better way to end slavery? just magically change the South's mind through persuasion? Do nothing?

      @@AbsoluteUnit333 i feel like people have it so ingrained im thier minds to view history as a sign of constant human progress instead for what it is. Im not saying ik a better way to end slavery, and neither is mrgirl. But we should be able to look at history with a lens of critisism. Slavery was a huge problem and went on for so long. To think there was only one way to fix it and that way was war seems ignorant. To my knowledge the american slavery problem kept being pushed off because people didnt want to even deal with it. Im sure it would be easy for someome knowledgable on the politics of that time to think up a hypothetical way that could have ended slavery in a completly different way.

    • @AbsoluteUnit333
      @AbsoluteUnit333 2 года назад +4

      @@The_Critique the only way someone could come up with a hypothetical way to end slavery better would be if the north started war, but they didn't. The south literally started the war. There is no reason to say that the end of slavery could have gone better when you don't give any way it could have gone better. I could understand if mrgirl said "the end of slavery could have been better if the north had pushed for the end of slavery earlier" but mrgirl kept arguing that the civil war was a bad war on both sides even though the south literally started the war. Literally the only other choice in how the end of slavery could have been "better" is if you think the north should have just let the south secede and have slaves and then maybe possibly 100 years later they maybe end slavery. Even though the south is still trying to get slavery back today with labor prisons in the south filled with black men. The only definitive way to end slavery was to win that war. Trust me when I say the end to slavery could not have gone better then the war. At least to me it could not have with my axiom of ending slavery by any means possible.

      @@AbsoluteUnit333 i think your missing the point. There is always a better decision with hindsight. I dont think you have the knowledge to make an educated guess on this. He is saying both sides because they are a nation as a whole.

    • @AbsoluteUnit333
      @AbsoluteUnit333 2 года назад

      @@The_Critique obviously hypothetically there could be a way to end slavery "better" than they did. When the south fired on fort Sumter the north could have hugged them and talked them out of seceding. Or the north persuaded the south into seeing the error of their ways. But in actual reality blood must shed to free the slaves from their masters. Even if the north pressured the end of slavery more that would have done nothing but hasten the start of the war. If they did nothing and let the south secede then slavery would still be going on today. They fought the war and guess what happened? Slavery actually ended (there's still slavery in prisons though). If you want to argue that reconstruction could have gone better I would 100% agree, I think every confederate should have been put to death or thrown in jail. But instead they were given reparations. War must be fought to free people. I'm reiterating this point, war was the only way to free the slaves. I'd maybe understand your point of view if the north started the war but the south literally started the war so your point of view is absolutely useless.
