I made something similar, maybe 15 years ago, using only 2 layers of wax paper. It was popular for a brief time as an alternative to wrapping paper. I decided to buy a roll of waxed paper to try it out again and spotted this video. Thanks for the tips.
Just found this older video of yours, what a great effect you achieved...thanks for the demonstration. I think I might try this to see if it could be used as a journal cover...

Instead of paper attached to wax paper can you use fabric?
Mod Podge is not archival. It yellows over time. Best to use professional artists medium
