    I’m thin, always have been. 5’2” weight is 122lb. I do not drink alcohol. I walk for exercise. My AFIB comes in the early morning now, 3 or 4am 🤷‍♀️. I take metoprolol.
    I’m more burdened by PACs and PVCs.
    I’ve done everything possible to not have this terrible condition. No Gluten, FODMAP diet. Nothing helps for any period time. Life is stressful. No one can get away from life unless they are dead. Doctors need to figure out this condition. I’ve been to the best doctors at Mass General in Boston. No one is helpful

      Me too. I had A FIB during the morning as well. Check for your potassium level. I bet it will be low. Take some supplements.

      @@kimfox8742 Hi Kim, I take potassium liquid supplement also magnesium. 🤷‍♀️ I think heart arrhythmia is a chronic condition. I’ve had this problem now for almost 8 years. It has changed over time like arrhythmias tend to do. It started with tachycardia. Morphed into Afib a few times a year that would last 8 hours. Now I have less AFIB but days upon days of PACs, SVE and PVCs hours a day sometimes. I just live my life and deal with this constant chronic condition as best as I can.

      I think sometimes there is a genetic risk that is difficult to override with lifestyle modifications, but there is no doubt that your AF is better controlled because of your healthy lifestyle. My 38 year old son has paroxysmal AF, both my parents had it, and so did my sister. Luck of the draw. I'm still waiting...

    Had it for 14 years now. Chose not to do drugs but I limited salt, sugar and especially caffeine. Drink plenty of water AND aspirin 81 MG works as.a thinner as well as.other natural thinners. Doing very well. And DONT overeat. Stresses the heart.❤

    AFib is on the rise because we're living in an increasingly narcissistic society of people stressing each other out above and beyond anyone's capacity for handling stress. As a result, it's driving our health into the ground.

      You are so on point about that! It's been a really rough couple of years for most folks. These past few months I have finally noticed a change. People starting to be a bit more tolerant and kind to one another. Constant stress and anxiety is very harmful to our health in so many, many ways!

    I got afib after my house burned down in Jan and my son was killed in a car accident in 2010. The doctor said it was Stress along with the other things going on in our lives at that time. I am on predaxa and I take metropol. I recently saw where they can put a clip in to stop the clots from forming and you won't have to take the blood thinner. Has anyone tried the watchman or heard about it? I hate taking the blood thinner because I'm afraid I make a mistake and mess up on my pills. It's supposed to stay in your body and it doesn't need replacing.

      I've persistent afib. On Edoxoban, with a view to getting a cardioversion in the future. Tbh, AF doesn't impact my life much. My AF was discovered a by product of other symptoms I had (cold extremities) . Not heard of the watchman. Sorry about your son and the house. I doubt anyone would have anything as stressful as that to deal with in their lives. Awful.

    • @gloriamaryhaywood2217
      @gloriamaryhaywood2217 Год назад +2

      Yes, I've heard of the watchman. Also there's another option you can choose as well. I've forgotten just what It is exactly, but you should easily be able to find out by doing a Google search!😉
      I had to edit this bc I wanted to say so very sorry for your losses.🙏

    I have Afib, but I hardly feel it if at all. I'm on Eliquis and Coreg. BUT on 1 Eliquis a day, I can bleed very easily so I put MYSELF on ONE a day. Am seeing my cardiologist in Sept. Been taking one a day for 8 or 9 months. I WANT to see him 2X's a year to monitor me. He likely won't be happy with my self treatment. So see me without going thru my MD first!!!

    I stopped eating high sodium foods, chocolate, & Stevia. Stevia acts as a vasodilator as well as a diuretic. I rather use Monkfruit or Allulose as a sweetener.

    • @gloriamaryhaywood2217
      @gloriamaryhaywood2217 Год назад +1

      I've heard Stevia can lower your blood pressure. That's good news to my ears as I have moderately high BP. I just have to be careful when I'm fasting. It can drop a bit too low then!😉

    I have had 4 separate cardioversions and 3 ablations. Normsal sinus rhythm lasts for a few hours after each procedure. I am ready to give up. All the medical procedures doesnt seem to work on me.

    • @Doc..dattrite

      I'm certainly not qualified to preach to you, but I hope you'll hang in there for a while...your condition could reverse!

    • @gloriamaryhaywood2217
      @gloriamaryhaywood2217 Год назад

      Goodness! I've never yet had to have a cardioversion done. But I've considered having an ablation. For most folks it's generally very successful. But my AFib is finally settling down a bit on it's own. If it ever becomes quite persistent then I would consider ablation. Because it's not something I care to deal with on a regular basis. So sorry to hear that those procedures did not work well to keep you out of constant AFib? Hopefully, in the not too distant future, AFib will be more fully understood, and options will be created to Halt AFib once and for all!!😉

      Have you ever had or suffer from pericarditis? Or only Afib only? I ask this because many people get pericarditis and don’t know if it’s pericarditis and if it goes untreated it can cause Afib or aflutter. Many people who had Covid had pericarditis and didn’t know, they just thought it was Covid.

    Don't eat or drink anything that you really enjoy. Live on a steady diet of bitter greens and pungent vegetables, and you'll be sure to beat your AFib.
