How to Become a Top Negotiator - Robert Kiyosaki, Kim Kiyosaki,

  • Robert Kiyosaki’s rich dad would often tell him that learning how to sell is the most important characteristic of an entrepreneur. Today’s guest explains what it takes to become a top negotiator to improve your ability to sell.
Chris Voss, CEO & Founder of The Black Swan Group and author of “Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if your life depends on it” says, “A tiny shift from yes to no is monstrous.” This one shift is the most difficult shift to make because we’ve been hardwired to go for the answer yes.
Hosts Robert and Kim Kiyosaki and guest Chris Voss discuss his background, what mindset shift is required to be successful, and how to become a top negotiator.

The quick story about working with Trump (32:00) and what he's like on a personal level- almost everyone I've heard that has worked with him says the same. He's personable, real, and at heart- a business guy. Not only wants success, but wants others to have success. Hence his Make America Great Again slogan. He wanted success for EVERYONE. And still does. Hope he gets the four more years that he legitimately earned in 2020.

Oh yeah I just read a book of 1,000 pages of a karate master probably when the foremost best Masters in the martial arts and he didn't he wrote a book a thousand pages and not one word of that is about the technical aspects of martial arts it was totally how to run a martial arts school a thousand pages but not once do you ever mention how to do karate in a technical way the book was about how and after you read a thousand pages this is the gold nugget that positiveness always overcomes negativeness and that's the gold nugget and that hit me harder than a truck because this guy was the master of martial arts and it had schools the number one master in the world Martial arts and he had schools and he comes down and it's all about positiveness overcomes negativeness but when you hear it come out of his mouth it blows you away like you just got hit by a truck because the 9 out of 10 people I talk to in a day are so negative they hate themselves and they they're injured and their kneecaps are blown they're all they hate the fact that they're old and they've given up their lives they're not exercising their back hurts their knees are blown out and they can't even step on the tennis court to hit up ball because they're done they're finished and I talk to people every single day there the friends that I used to know are demolished by the time they reach my age at 62 that they're they're just wasted out on the side of the road and yet I've seen this guy about 5 years ago and it was the greatest athlete he moved like a cheetah he was like an some Micah animal out of the Amazon he was so smooth and then I saw him and his whole body was complete covered with arthritis he couldn't move and I've seen another guy who's back locked up where he can't move it all this is the guy that was so flexible so fast just about a year ago but all of a sudden his life just changed overnight and I realized this is all caused by what you're thinking in your mind your mind controls your physiological neurological like you're talking about the reptile brain and yeah we have this this guy mastered the what the reptile brain the difference between your cognitive brain I got a video on this guy it's all about reptile brain and cognitive cognition of the different types of the brain this guy was expert at it and he showed you how to do self-defense moves when you're attacked on a street

Yeah I started reading psychology and mindset and that's attacking a sport from a whole different idea it's not technical so what we're doing is psychological and you're dealing with mindset you can see the mindset like you're talking about is is a psychological aspect of a tennis player you're not looking at it from a tactical stand book standpoint where it technically if I move my feet or my racket is certain manner it's going to come up with this outcome but there's a whole another world when you're just studying books on mine psychology and mindset this is where your mind has to be in the zone or you have to put your you have to think a certain way when you're walking on the tennis court because it's all confidence usually they said by the time you shook your hands with rod laver the match was over because he was so confident that you could just look in his eyes you know you would beat this is where the mind you have to convince yourself not to convince you and or anybody else that I'm who I say I am or I have to convince you that I think I'm really attractive person if I think I'm attractive person regardless the fact I'm attractive or not does not matter if I could convince myself I'm attractive then other people will be attracted to me if you can get that point this is this is hard to believe but I will tell you this you are what you think you are and that's what the only thing that all the philosophers agreed on is you become what you think about

Yeah that sounds smart yeah because what I thought in life is communication was a win lose situation just like you said and that's not the way to go about it the negotiation in the first place

Please could someone let me know what Robert Kiyosaki thinks is a good place to have our money when the stock market crashes initially, I've heard him say that during this period the price of Gold and Silver will crash as well, if initially when lots of people are selling their shares won't the US Dollar go up as people will be selling their stocks and having US Dollars in place of them?

Yeah I think I totally understand where you're coming from is a person military train but you know you have a kind heart and a good you're a good person no matter how you relate to other people we're all learning I'm on the same page as you everybody is we're all on reading books constantly trying to better ourselves but you know I'm smart enough to know that you know you're of a kind heart and you are changing just we're all working to become better people and so we're all students of the game I'm not a teacher or a coach maybe I play that role but on the end we're all students of this world and we're all learning so you know this is what we're all going through what you're going through and it's the same thing I'm going through and everybody's going through there's constant change when the most difficult times right now but you know you'll stand up love yourself and and tomorrow you'll better be a better person and and not that you're not a great person I can see of a kind heart both of you do all you guys do but we're all different if you look at me you and your wife and negotiator we have different personalities because we came from different backgrounds but in the end we're all trying to do the same thing making a better world and who you vote for for president might change that world but we probably are voting for different people we all have different opinions of who might want to lead this country in 2024 I just feel that Trump can do the job he's doing a good job and I think we need some change with the police officers in the way that they're being treated it's getting shot by legal immigrants coming over the border that have name been checked and these people have crime criminal backgrounds this last police officer they got shot by some illegal immigrant in this country point blank makes you feel with the summit ceremony they just had how awful that situation is and what the military is going through right now too is something that I have never seen before

Right the key I totally understand because I know a lot of people in the military doing security so I totally understand the military complex in the personality I've worked with guys that have been you know in the military and what you understand is the total opposite is that the whole key to to is trust loving and communication can be any which Way but loose see if my my motivation is to help you become a better soldier than you know I have your back and so I might be very mean to you and abuse you or maybe even punch you knock you around quite a bit that's the way the old military was they actually punch you right in the stomach today's Marine corps they can't touch you the old Marine corps guys I know where they punch you right in the goddamn stomach the old Marine corps was tough and really a different where they really made real men quick where the the Marine corps today they don't touch you but but they're still hardcore stuff because you're sending men out there that don't the bus comes back only less than half the bus is coming back this is serious s*** from day one a marine is he's putting his life on the line protect this country and that it doesn't become any more serious than that there's guys that just jump on a landmine to save his buddy that kind of stuff is just beyond comprehension I read I used to read all those military books all the time a fascinated by military books about Vietnam and stuff like that and it turns out that in playing tennis that I've I played tennis with a guy that was in Vietnam and he he told me a lot about what was going on right in fact a lot of people that I in my lifetime have fought in Vietnam and I've read a lot of books about it too but yeah it's that's incredible what these men went through and what especially the real world is so different than the communication at that level is so different because that's buddy buddy you know it's when you're in the military it's just so much different than the outside world that guy like me hasn't been in the military really cannot relate to somebody who's been in the military so I can't pretend that I know what it's like to be in the military if you've never been in it okay but you have an understanding if you have friends that were in the military of how how they how they communicate is so much different than how the general public okay the people have never been in the military they don't communicate at on the same level or playing that's what I'm trying to say it's that's why you the way you act and react maybe different than the way the civilian acts because you've been in the military so long you've been conditioned in trying to certain way but that doesn't mean that the way you're interacting right now is any better or worse than the way the civilians are you're actually just learning how to communicate the way civilian people communicate in the world whereas when you're in the military complex you keep your mouth shut you take orders and otherwise you might end up blasted or

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $960,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
