I love this! I'm a beginner and was looking for an easy aromatherapy bag to make my husband to use after a long day of working as a delivery driver! I didn't think about adding the lavender flowers. 💕 May God bless you!

I had a very hard time keeping the rice to the side. I figured out, if you sew the sides and leave a good enough opening, you can sew the lines before you start putting in the rice. Where the opening is, you would make sure it’s big enough to put a funnel in and if you sew the lines, there will be 3 parts with 3 different openings to put the rice. I don’t think I explained it well but hopefully you get it!

Such a good tutorial thanks. I tired to section it and it didn’t work 😟 so I I picked it and sewed the top now there seems to be not enough rice 🤣🤣🤣. So will unpick and put some more in lol.

Am I correct that the thread and cloth should be all cotton rather than manmade materials?

have you tried using a scale to make three sections even? 15 x 12 inches rectangle?

Please someone answer this. I know that cotton is preferred but I need to know can I make one out of burlap

I wouldn't recommend it. Burlap is a looser weave material so unless you line it with cotton rice may fall out, it's scratchy, and absorbency of the hemp may smell after a few uses. Recommended fabrics are cotton, felt, and flannel. Do not use any with polyester or acrylic, it will melt.

Great easy tutorial thanks. I tried to do the sections and it didn’t work 😳. Uneven and not the same size of all three. lol. So I had to unpick the sections and then sewed the top and now there isn’t enough rice in it. Haha so I will have to unpick and put more rice in lol.

I think if you are making the 3 sections, why not leave the opening on the end and fill up and sew. You will have plenty of room to fill the bag and sew your sections.
