@@lifo hi. No licks. Licks are everywhere in you tube. Once the neck is in memory, knowing where each note is and how they relate, and once we know our finger muscle memory limitations, we can express ourselves through of our instrument, then yes, we can copy, imitate or play everything we want to express. There is only one way: discover our limitations and practice them until you reach them. It has to come from our interior. Educate your ear, study as much as we can learn. There are no miracles until we know what we are doing.... Ho, by the way, One important thing is to know the mother scale, the Major Scale. It is with her that everything that will be our path will be done. cheers🙏🙏🤘🤘🎼🎼
This guy is right. Know the fretboard, it's like takin it back to the piano 🎹 where it's 12 notes repeating linearly. You therefore know it, but to have that same confidence on the guitar, you guessed it, you need to know the notes on the fretboard just the same, obviously that's how you'd know the notes like on the keyboard. Study and know the board.

Yet, in 40 years you still haven't learned to bend in tune and/or playing in time. Every great guitarist stole things from their idols and amalgamated those things into something of their own.
This is a really cool idea man. You can apply this idea in infinite ways. I love finding new tactics for making scales more interesting to practice which always leads to great lead ideas.
Actually i think this is Paganini scale also appeared in the amazing cross roads duel, Steve Via played it , but Ralph Maccio pretended to use it very last scene of the head cutting.
That probably sounds pretty sick with a touch of reverb & delay. Great walkthrough 🤘 You can easily apply this to any scale or mode to get a myriad of options. Slash uses a similar approach of 3NPS and applying passing notes (I.e. Paradise City solo).
Yep it does have verb and delay but no problem it's hard to hear it on video. But thanks man!! Yep I encourage everyone to take their vocabulary through as many positions or 'modes' as possible so you can be fluid with it! And this one translates particularly well for that. Thanks 👍
My new video from this afternoon hits on picking technique a bit if you wanna check it out! but I will definitely do more. It's something that I built up over years so it's hard to point at just a few things that unlocked it. But I will definitely do my best to create some more lessons around it!
Sure, I'm planning to share some picking exercises, so I could talk about it there. I would say all the standard stuff applies, so minimizing motion, picking using wrist rotation as much as possible instead of elbow, slight clockwise turn of the pick so it swims through the strings.. thanks for watching!
@@mohamedazougagh5451 I wasn't loving the stock pickups. The biggest issue is that the bridge pickup was bright to the point of being fizzy. Also, to me, it felt like they were too high output. Liking the new pickups more for sure, but still want to try more options one day.

Just what compelled you to make that comment? This is obviously a video about Petrucci style runs…it’s in the title. You don’t like it don’t click on it. There’s no comparisons being made in the video about Yngwie, therefore no reason for your comment. You say you don’t find Petrucci’s picking interesting, but you were interested enough to watch?! Now that’s interesting 🤔
You are using too much kinetic energy, which means that while you are playing the guitar on the fretboard, it seems to me, at least, that you could try doing it more calmly. Try not to move the entire guitar while doing it; it would be more efficient. Very nice video, mate... keep rocking!
I see what you mean, the fretting fingers are moving EXTREMELY fast whereas the actual notes are just...fast. Could probably reach Shawn Lane levels of speed with more economy of motion! It's still great, clean playing
Thanks for the comment, I welcome the constructive criticism. I am not as shreddy as some people out there.. will have to study my own footage more and adjust 😁
