I had a Tamron 45mm f1.8 for my Nikon F5. Whilwt it had a staggering spec and was excellent optically the AF was hopeless. And it facussed in the opposite direction to my other Nikon lenses. Heartbreaking. Your photos are brilliant..
Hi Peter thank you for your very nice compliment. I’ve always wanted to get an F5 and I still do. I’m sorry you’ve had a bad experience. I knew coming into it that Tamron favored accuracy over speed with these lenses so I’m sorry your experience was less than stellar. My copy is great though on my F100. Thanks so much for watching.
Hey thanks so much. Yeah I definitely prefer it with the sound of the streets. I hope I’ll continue to do so without copyright strikes 😅. Thanks so much for watching.
Hi! great job! How often do people complain you are taking pictures of them? That woman for example. She definitely spotted you taking a picture. Didn't she questioned you the purpose? Just curious how you explain...
Hi thanks so much for your compliment and for watching. The woman who came out the door did not question me. All things considered, confrontation is part of street photography. I don’t get a whole lot of it because I don’t shoot with zone focusing. I focus critically so when I raise my camera and someone object I don’t take the photo. And I’m otherwise friendly and respectful. Most of the time at least 😃
Not sure what your question is exactly but I’ve shot plenty BL&W with my F100. Mostly FP4 Plus. Tri-X is also a film I highly recommend. HP5 is good but has less contrast. I love pushing FP4 one or 2 stops. Thanks so much for watching.
Question about the Tamron on F100. Do you retain all the M, A, S & P features. Are you able to adjust aperture and shutter settings? I just got the Tamron 35 VC for a new F100 from KEH and the cameras aperture f stop setting does not change in Manual or A mode. It stays at f1.8. Just got it so will be calling tomorrow but wanted to see if you had similar issue. Thanks FW
Hi Frank you should retain all features in any mode except P where the camera takes care of everything. The fact that you cannot change your aperture is not normal. Have you tried a different lens?
Thanks for your reply. I sent back both camera ( F100) and lens (Tamron 35mm f1.8 VC USD SP). Same design as yours but the 35mm. Hopefully they can repair or I will choose a different one. FW @@TheFilmFellow

Great video. Love the street sounds without any music. Also I like the pics with motion blur.

These are really cool Davy
Thanks so much Aly! Really loving that Kodak Vision3 500T. Gonna shoot a lot more of it during nighttime sessions with the F100.
