I always trust your reviews over others. To be honest, unless the exhaust note is glorious, I usually go straight to your review section. You are an excellent rider, not bought and paid for, and you clearly enjoy every bike but realize they are not all perfect. I hope you stay safe and keep doing what you are doing, my friend!

Der Sound, ist aber gut !
      Angenehm ruhig !
      Nicht wie meine Z 400 , die bei U/min 12400 nur noch schreit = Km/h 187 max - Berg runter 😊.
Nur meine Cb 650R , schreit noch mehr, nach noch mehr 😊!

Love your vids and I am curious about your impressions of the Triumph Bobber - yes, I know the situation and explainations on how you get to ride the bikes on this channel.
I am always impressed by Triumph. One of the rare manufacturers with a really good stock sound and overall performance/handling.. I went to different dealerships to compare and find my next bike; I have to admit that I left out the big 4 of the japanese bikes.
Bought my Bobber after riding a Street Triple R 2012 for about 10 years. It's a blast to ride this thing. Don't know why, but Triumph is always touching my soul.

I always blip my throttle first just before pushing the shift lever down, and it had some inconsistency moments :(

I've always been confused looking at this bike. I've been under the assumption it's a retro 390 duke (fast and sporty), but instead it's more like a single cylinder Enfield 650?
I have the speed twin 1200 and V7 850. A lot of people ask me about the bike and I have no idea what to compare it to. I've also owned a meteor 350 for a bit. Can you help me narrow it down?
Also, should confident newer riders just shoot for the Trident 660?

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  2 месяца назад +11

I was surprised myself because I also expected a sportier bike especially since the Speed 1200 definitely is very capable. Comparing this 400 to the 650 Enfields definitely makes sense. I'd classify it as a relaxed Retro bike. It's somewhere between RE Classic 350 and the RE Interceptor although the Triumph is way more agile than both REs.
Regarding beginners: The Trident definitely is a beginner-friendly bike, a solid option to start. But still I'd recommend the 400 because it is even lighter and easier to move!

This is probably a stupid question but do you guys have the KTM 200 Duke in Europe?
I personally think it's a good bike but the problem with that is that it has 24bhp so in Europe you need an A2 licence to drive it.
I have no idea why KTM didn't make the 250 Duke available instead of the 200.

We used to have for a couple of years at launch 2012/2014 more or less, now there are avaiable only the 125 and 390 singles here.
The 200cc was not very popular in europe.

    • @Schaaf

@@generalebeta97 I think the 250 would've been a great bike for daily commutes. It is also the calmest KTM and makes the same power as the CB300R.
