    AMX AuF1. AMX as often for French stuff denotes what factory produces it (Atelier d'Issy-les-Moulineaux), while AuF1 means "Autotracté de modele F1", aka "self propelled model 1".
    The same gun when on its own is called TrF1 for "tracté de modele F1" aka "towed model 1"

    The Bkan does indeed have a magazine. Autoloaded from twin 7 round clips plus one in the tube. I'm not sure if it still has it but it DID have the world record for like all fifteen rounds in like 45~ish seconds? Which is pretty damn impressive. Only takes a few minutes to reload the whole magazine as well. Scary ass piece of kit.

    I think AML 60 is great as a smoke mortar, I just use at least 2 or even 3 of them. The price and the availability allow for that and the ROF is just great. I've always preferred them over VPM 120 as the price of that thing coupled with its ammo is just poor. I usually run Caesars so I am not too worried about indirect fire-support or snipping units. So they are easily a staple in my France deck. That's just my take. Good point about the Serval having use with its autocannon after using the mortar ammo as direct fire support, honestly I've never thought of that. Great job on the vid, I'm glad you are still doing these.

    Arty is the biggest noob bait. But in my experience. A lot of veteran players don't use them enough. If you can invest anywhere from 100-200pts in spam arty while not compromising on your forces. Then you can be quite formidable. There are two good ones. Never use Redfor 122mm. But go for the Bluefor 105mm and 155mm 50pts units. The volume of shells can decimate any town or forest your about to push in. Not the greatest but still really good. There is also the 4 stack of 203mm 70pts bluefor unit. The aim time and volume is worse. But can decimate even Super heavies.
    The 105mm is best for volume but has crap all blast radius. I'd defiantly say is better for town shelling. The ROF is the better of the three. 155mm is great in both towns and forests. The ROF isn't too much worse then the 105mm. The 203's I don't use that much. Mostly because I find the aim time and shell speed to be too slow. But I have on multiple occasions destroy a 2A5 and Vihors that sit too long in a forest. Out of them all I prefer the 155mm the most since it seems to work the best. You can also just continuously stun-lock an enemy into submission if lucky enough.
    I feel a lot of veteran players get used to the idea that arty is noob bait. So they get an image that it's not worth using. I rarely find/found anyone that isn't new to the game who uses any type of arty. Only motors for the smoke. I've recently started trying out 50pts arty a lot more. They aren't godlike. But I'd say are defiantly underrated.

  • @worryingrogue5763

    AMOS is perfect in tactical games. It's relatively cheap so you can also buy good AA or other units so you can support your team really well.

    Going back to M110 vs Pivonka (and other stuff in general): doesn't the extra range offset the loss of accuracy thanks to scaling? or is the dispersion stat relative to a certain fixed distance and not max range of the piece?

    • @RazzmannWG
      @RazzmannWG  4 года назад +3

      I actually mention that later on (don't worry, I don't expect anyone to actually listen to all of my rambling), range scaling is not a thing for howitzers and mortars. They are as accurate at maximum range as they are at minimum range. The only thing that affects accuracy/ dispersion is if the target is in line of sight of another unit (i.e. corrected shot).

  • @homefront1999

    Maybe you could explain this, But I've been playing Wargame for years and never understood this. But why do some units show ROF like 9r/m such as on an Abrams. But for something like the 75 MSSR it said it's 7r/m when it fires more than that? I believe some units are even more different. Such as the Patriot. I believe it has something on the reload like 20s. I'm not sure what that means.

    • @RazzmannWG
      @RazzmannWG  4 года назад +2

      The RoF shown is per minute. An MLRS may fire 24 rockets within like 10s, but then has to reload for like 3 minutes. Thus the average RoF per minute is much lower.
      When it shows reload time it shows the salvo reload time. In the case of the patriot it means it has to reload for 20s after shooting 4 missiles.

    the suppression radius is double the caliber? So the 105mm sp has a suppression range of 210mm? that doesn't seem very big at all.

    • @RazzmannWG
      @RazzmannWG  4 года назад +1

      Not in mm but in ingame range units (don't ask me if it's the same measurement used for gun ranges). Don't think of it as absolute values, but think of it relatively speaking so you can compare different artillery units more easily.
